@@josh44026 that sound is EDM, his voice just happens to be deep so it sounds like country especially with the guitar sound. But no. A lot of EDM actually includes guitars, it's just unique how Avicii ended having a deep country like voice and a clean acoustic guitar. Its EDM, that's all it it. However it included elements of the guitar, which I would say is more pop. His voice is just uniquely deep so that shouldn't mean he is country. But I wouldnt say you're wrong lol

Janis Joplin, Joan Jett, Stevie Nicks and Amy Lee are notable exceptions but it's still less than 10%. It doesn't appeal to most women for whatever reason so it's hard to include a female example on this list.

I'd really like to hear how it doesn't. There's far more egregious choices on that list like 'High Hopes', which doesn't at all resemble rock music.

Rock managed to go underground again. This is an opportunity not to be wasted, and so many bands out there are taking full advantage of it.
Star set and beartooth... sound like bands who play rock from a ‘how to rock hard’ book... awful.
Squant aight starting from more to less mainstream; Black Keys, Highly Suspect, Wolfmother, the Revivalists, the Blue Stones, Crown Lands, Goodbye June, Ekoostik Hookah, Little Hurricane, the Decemberists, the Werks, Govnt Mule (last three are a little older but they drop new stuff), TAUK, Rainbow Kitten Suprise, Twiddle, Perpetual Groove, the Vegabonds, TWRP, Kings of Frog Island, the Pilgrim, Backup Planet, All Them Witches, Villagers Of Ioannina City, CBDB. That’s about twenty some odd rock bands worth a listen. And those last two are actually Incredible.
