Ian Chappell said “as a kid I saw Ted Dexter bat and then I became a believer”.

Lovely description of the man by Atherton and Bumble! R.I.P Ted Dexter
+1, obvious affection of a peer
Good innings well batted. RIP Ted.
I remember listening to BBC Test Match Special with my elder brother in 1961. The Ashes Series was on & my elder brother loved to listen to the Ashes Series. I was young & all I learnt was the names of Australian & English players. But I remember Ted Dexter well. After the Ashes tour England toured India & Ted Dexter was the England Captain. He played a run a ball test innings which was unheard of those days. He was Englandr's Captain & won a series in Pakistan. RIP Ted Dexter.
Great stats! Runs for England. Charismatic man. Great sportsman. Fitting tribute. And Sir Geoffrey loves him. Class.
He was a great man
Wonderful player..

Who could forget Malcolm Devon?
David bumble Lloyd talkes like 15 year old kid... just love him
Top bloke, very funny as well.
Ted Dexter was a year older than my mother. Born in Milan (hardly known for bat and ball) and could be rather idiosyncratic in his views, especially with the juxtapositions of the planets when he was a selector!
Atherton : "Dexter loved watching Joe Root play"
Me: Who doesn't?
Indeed. From the moment he makes contact with the ball it’s poetry in motion now. I miss the side on stance whilst the bowler runs in though.
Rest in peace from India
The way they r describing Sir Ted it looks like he was the Don Bradman of English cricket history 👊👊👊🔥❤️👊
No, they respect all their former players, unlike Indians who dont even remember anybody except only the top players
Inko tribute ki padi hai..Yaha Root India ko match se baahr krra hai... already 196 runs lead ...India ki tribute hogyi ye toh..
Nobody hit it harder
