I use MuseScore. It is free. I just create a "Rock Band Templet" and only show the drum set. I is not the fastest when notating drum parts but it does get faster once you know all the short cuts and has this program works.
Really cool allows me to play my favourite songs and a lot easier than listening to the studio track and discerning the drum parts or basing it off a cover. I was first undecided whether having the faster tempo example first was good and I eventau;lly prefered it. It provides a paradigm of the rhythm then its the viewers turn to play along. I found it very useful. Either way you have to go back and listen to the same thing quite a lot and I would prefer the sound of the studio drumming than the talking prior. Keep it up thankyou
How do you tune your drums to get to this sound. I have a decent set with pretty mid level heads but I can’t get them tuned to that deeper “metal / Iprevail “ sound .... at this point I’m like how many keys turns to get to where your at and I’ll try to figure out the rest !

The audio when you're talking sounds really weird, when you pause it goes deathly quiet, it sounds kinda odd. Other than that great cover & tutorial dude.

There’s lots of hum in the basement from like the furnace and shit.. so I gate it out.. and if I left it in the compressor would bring it to the front for the pauses.. I’ll probs just go back to the quick cuts haha .. .thats actually why I usually have so many cuts.. is cuz I’m just chopping out the empty space 🤣
