    Feels like doing math, but with really understanding them!
    Super clear video with explanations and clear examples. Thanks a lot :)

      Heck yeah thanks! This is a really critical part of the game, and even if the actual math may be confusing, at least having relative knowledge of how it works and being able to guestimate goes a long way to whether the strategy is viable or not. Also kind of helps because you'll be able to know if something is just bad RNG or not. Like if you're doing testing, and out of 3 tests someone gets hit every time, but you're estimating the chance to hit should really be around 30%, you can still be confident that your evade unit works it's just crap luck rather than "my unit isn't evasive enough" lol

      Right on glad to hear it! Thanks so much, it's tough to talk about math and stats and be accurate, while also keeping it high level, so glad you got something out of it

    Thanks for the video, very good explanation. For my Vinera I like to use the sage hat, hermes sandals, and the bloodsoaked dagger which gives +15 evasion, and even though you only get a percentage of that number with the equipment stacking, it still helps. The hermes sandals is a very good item, even at +0 it has 6 agility and 12 evasion

    • @ReadyPlayerWill
      @ReadyPlayerWill  3 года назад +1

      Yeah I can see that combo being awesome, even though you basically get no evasion from the Sandals, the 6 AGI still is a massive boost!

    we def need this, they are buffing status debuffs against evas units, which is good for the evasion cancer.

      Thanks so much! Yeah there are some characters who have pretty "meh" innate accuracy, so sometimes going for the Aim build is better for them.

  • @ArtelindSSB

    This was really helpful. Might switch back to Lesalia Sword on Agrias even though I have an Icebrand because of all that Accuracy.

    • @ReadyPlayerWill
      @ReadyPlayerWill  3 года назад

      This is the fun balance part of the game :) Because hypothetically you can find other sources of Accuracy if you still wanted to retain the offensive firepower of Icebrand. There's a bunch of ACC boosting TMRs, maybe it's an Alexandrite Ring or Wolf's Mask, maybe it's just a Vision Card that boosts party Accuracy. Lots of ways to go about making the character complete

    • @ArtelindSSB
      @ArtelindSSB 3 года назад

      @@ReadyPlayerWill I've been thinking about it a lot over the last hour or so. Once they add the level 99 bonuses to Vision Cards, the Odin card is an excellent source of Accuracy for Ice teams. But which Ice units to pair Agrias with... I might just have to pull for Auron!

    • @ReadyPlayerWill
      @ReadyPlayerWill  3 года назад

      @@ArtelindSSB HUGE bonus for Ice units absolutely. The Mono Ice team is a fun one to think about, as far as I know it's one of the reasons why Rosa was a popular pick back a few months ago, because she's one of the few viable Ice healers.
      But yeah! Lots of creative options :)

      @ArtelindSSB 3 года назад

      @@ReadyPlayerWill Sadly, I missed out on Rosa. I'm just crossing my fingers that they'll fix up Fryevia's AI (and/or give her an EX upgrade) because I have her at level 99.

      @@ArtelindSSB Definitely fingers crossed, I love Fryevia in concept and I've tried to make her work myself, but her overall weakness to Physical Damage has made it near impossible to work in PVP content

    I know you did this video over a year ago but seeing current meta and how much more evade a team can be built with I am perplexed as to how you could even build enough accuracy for you to make any reasonable team that has no "guaranteed hit moves". Kind of feels like accuracy is useless now and instead you have to build teams with these moves or lose. Speaking mostly from class match battles. Would love to hear your thoughts on how to counter these teams!

    • @ReadyPlayerWill
      @ReadyPlayerWill  2 года назад

      Hey there! There's definitely still ways to do it I promise you, Class Match is slightly unique in that they can get really creative with initial unit positioning which has some massive ramifications.
      But with the Sub-VCs, the Truststone system, and just getting the right Espers on there's ways around it. I'll probably do a deep dive again on it soon

    ok im still not sure im doing this right, if my elena has 108 agi, 425 luck and 112 evade. is that 254 total evade? is it 108 ÷ 1.5 + 425 ÷ 2.5 - 100 + 112 evade or did i not understand?

  • @jorgeantoniocruz8129

    Hello
    Do you know how much DEX equals 1 crit?
    I want to do a critical build, but I'm not sure of the numbers.
    THANK YOU !

    • @ReadyPlayerWill
      @ReadyPlayerWill  2 года назад

      Bear with me on this explanation :) So the DEX formula isn't exactly linear, so there isn't a good way to do how many DEX = 1 Crit, but it's roughly like 4-5 DEX = 1% Crit Hit.
      And unfortunately, that won't necessarily tell you how often you'll hit the Crit Hit because part of the equation is the enemy's Crit Avoidance (which is based off of LUCK). So your actual Crit Hit % isn't just how much DEX you have, but depends on the enemy's Crit Avoidance stat as well.
      So while you can definitely build someone maxing them for Crit Hit Rate, it's not a simple calculation to approximate what a Crit Build is

      Thanks so much! Yeah it's hard to really grasp but hopefully this video will help it click for everyone. It's tough to really manage the math in game, but hopefully the general idea is enough that it's a factor in everyone's decision making

    Let me try and understand this. Vinera Lv99 with passives on your chart is 69.53%. EVADE. So I'm guessing
    48.82 innate evade is from including Esper?
    If So Vinera, With passives and 25 evade Tetra Esper which gives her
    50 Evade : 25 from Esper, 15 from Passive and 10 from MasterA=50
    She also has
    86 agility: 62 +7 from Passive and 17 from Esper =86
    308 Luck : 233 + 75 from Esper = 308.
    THATS : 308 luck 86 agility and 50 INNATE Evade..... 308÷2.5+86÷2+50=216.2
    216.2evade - 145.53 average Accur=
    70 evade????? Close or not close??? 😂

    • @ReadyPlayerWill
      @ReadyPlayerWill  2 года назад

      Awww unfortunately not it xD There's no Esper at all in that calculation. That is her *innate* evasion rate based upon her Luck, AGI, and Mastery.
      So if her innate evasion rate on the chart is 69%, if you put on the Esper for another 25% Evasion it'd be 69 +25 = 94% evasion. Does that make more sense?

    • @btkchaosreaperj.c7642
      @btkchaosreaperj.c7642 2 года назад

      @@ReadyPlayerWill That's why I'm trying to figure out the exact easy math. She has 10 Evade from her Evade passive .
      10 Evade + 233( Luck) ÷2.5 + 62 (Agility) ÷ 1.5= 144.53 evade.
      She has a 12% agility passive so that's an additional 4.72 evade and a 15 Evade passive .So 144.53 + 4.72+15= 164.25% total evade.
      Now with that 164.25 evade how does it transition to your 69.53% evade????🤔

    • @ReadyPlayerWill
      @ReadyPlayerWill  2 года назад

      @@btkchaosreaperj.c7642 Ah because of how the percentages/math works you need to subtract 100 from that number, if you look at 5:44 you can see the (100) there in the approximation calculation. So your 164.25% needs to subtract 100 and it gets you to 64.25% evade which is close to the 69.53%. That 5% is the rounding differences due to it not using the exact math

      @@ReadyPlayerWill Is -100 still going to be the same for Calculating Ex Units?
      I kinda use this math. cuz it's easy and Makes even people who don't like math able to do fast with no Outside help needed. It is a lil off but close enough to give u an idea of what the unit brings in evasion.
      Thanks and great work ok your videos
