Does this staff member not realise that twitch is essentially on fire right now and he’s running around random streams covered in butane and breathing propane and pissing pure vodka everywhere?
The way you solve that is that you threaten to file criminal charges against that person for harassment. Or you can go into the directory and find that individual's supervisor and turn the tables.
If anyone wanted to hear what that Twitch employee had to say they would have been on his stream. Instead he goes into someone else's stream to hijack their attention, and It's insane to try to gaslight someone, and then when it's made explicitly clear you're unwelcome and hindering the stream they continue to the pattern of behavior that made them unwelcome. same... any time i try to watch something there i have to sit through 2+ 30 second long adverts, and when i only use it to watch esports tournaments where there will often be 4 streams going at once, swapping back and forth between them becomes fucking impossible because of all the advert spam... plus it won't even show the stream until all the ads are done so if you're trying to switch stream to catch a teamfight in a game, by the time the fucking ads are over it's done with anyway. So i just watch on youtube now instead. fuck twitch.
I think harassment is too strong a word for what happened but its for sure a weird and strange interaction. I understand that these circumstances call for something like that. But imagine being a janitor for a company. And the CEO comes in and you attempt to remove them from the building. It’s not going to work out for you. No matter how much of an asshole the CEO is being.
@@aHumanBeing97 Staff member is the janitors. I am not saying your are wrong but you are waaayy off.
@@Exorius84 couldn’t be further from the opposite. If what you were saying was true. Then you’d be able to ban them from your chat. It’s really as simple as that. Meanwhile. The staff that went into the chat has all the power to just remove the channel from the platform.
You can meme around all you want. But you may want to be correct when you do it. Especially if the meme is calling someone out. It won’t be received well.
@@aHumanBeing97 The staff member has privated all his social medias and shaking his ding dongs to not get fired right now. I am not saying you are wrong but you are way off.
@@Exorius84 thanks for proving my point 😁. Have a nice day o/
I think a lot of people are missing the point. The issue is not that a staff member simply exists on the platform, or even that they have a personal opinion. It's that they feel entitled to hijack the stream to tell the streamer they're wrong, ignore the streamer when he tries to politely tell them to stop, and then act incredulous when he tries to ban them.
@@SimplyS7how the hell is it him arguing when all he asked was clarification on *why* he was wrong, do you even watch the video?
@@SimplyS7 xD my guy, dont argue with these people. apparently this is classed as harassment in this day and age. much like you, i was completely unaware that someone saying youre not wrong but how you came to your conclusion was off, is considered harassment. like these guys are saying he should be fired for this xDDDD actual insanity
@@SimplyS7 There was no back and forth tho. The staff member was just gaslighting from start to finish.
Lol, found the twitch staff
@@nevermore7285 conveniently ignoring the first message staff member sent? where he very explicitly asked to have a 1 on 1 conversation that harris very clearly ignored?
There's no way someone is this incompetent accidentally. They've gone private on twitter because they know they've fucked up so badly.
Twitch needs to fire a ton of people and rework everything immediately. The company is going downhill.
Probably a diversity hire, in charge of other diversity hires. This is what happens when you hire a bunch of D students because they check boxes
@@gotworc hope it dies. Literally 10 ads every 5 mins that blocks your whole screen making you miss out so much on stream, like what platform does that?
@@juliangarces2011 Originally I wouldn't have argued with you about wanting Twitch to die rather I'd prefer it to lose the monopoly it has over streaming but now I wholly agree with you. I'd much prefer Twitch nuked itself into the ground.
Blizzard has finally a worthy opponent 💀
That staff member was doing some high level gas lighting. Impressive.
“Dog on a leash.” Now THAT is a phrase I will be using more often
"You try to ban ME? You, one who cannot even read the sacred runes???"
The Twitch staff guy went from working at Blizzard to Twitch and I'm not joking lmao just looked at his LinkedIn
Harris a good dude. Solid advice. Realistic on what it's really like to "try" and be a Streamer. Absolutely disgusting from Twitch. Tf you messing with people like that for.

Platform leads abusing their power?
Nah... never~ 😏
@@SimplyS7harassing someone until they end stream because they criticized your policy changes is an abuse of power. They just didn’t want the bad press of outright banning him
@@SimplyS7 Did we not watch the same video?
@@SimplyS7 Come on Bert.. you surely can't be this stupid. There was nothing respectful about the way the staff member was behaving, he was completely unprofessional.
@@SimplyS7 "respectfully disagree"? "Tamper tantrum"? Boi get your twitch staff boot licking ass outta here. There was no respect from the staff, the passive aggressiveness from Seth was BLATANT, and he was literally telling Harris he was wrong without elaborating. I'm disappointed that school has taught you nothing. Even a 5th grade student would correctly see that Seth and ONLY Seth was the one in the wrong here.
What an abuse of fucking power... Jesus that twitch staff should have said NOTHING.
Completely unprofessional and inappropriate to hijack someones stream like that and not even explain yourself.
@@somebodyoncetoldme2664 He didn't hijack anything. The streamer willingly took time and energy on him.
Was this harassment though?
Seemed like a back and forth. I'm missing the context of the discussion but the staff member did seem to be acting like a jerk if that's the problem with their passive aggressive nonsense.
@@waynemorgan6153For context, the streamer was talking about Twitch's horrendous new policies regarding monetization and ads. I won't go into details but basically Twitch is trying to pull a "you can't make money unless we say so" move and making it so even if streamers try to leave in protest they have to pay a fee to do so. Just being petty and shitty all around. The guy literally told the staff after nearly 10 mins of this staff member being a passive aggressive bitch that he was happy with being told he was wrong but the staff kept saying "You're not wrong you're just wrong in a nice way!" And acting like the guy was out of line for saying Twitch's policy sucks now. The guy wanted to drop it and move on but the staff kept being passive aggressive and trying to get the last word in, and the had the gall to act offended when a ban attempt was made, like he did nothing wrong.
@@Lampaluile???
twitch staff gaslighting their streamers
edit: and the twitch staff ban evaded XD
“I’m gna get PTSD from an ex girlfriend.” 😂
I bet this Seth guy hasn't been at twitch even a fraction of the time Harris has been a streamer. He's one of the OGs, super professional and a concise guy.
This is like if you were working in an office and some manager from another department walked into your office and told you were wrong about your workflow. And you just had to sit there and work while this person you didn't know at yet was still in a management position kept making passive aggressive statements.
To be fair, from reading what the twitch employee was saying. I now understand how they missed the mark so bad
What a power trip. This guy also used to work at Blizzard - makes sense
Does this staff member not realise that twitch is essentially on fire right now and he’s running around random streams covered in butane and breathing propane and pissing pure vodka everywhere?
"I'm not *SAYING* you're wrong, I'm just *ASSERTING* that you're wrong."
The way you solve that is that you threaten to file criminal charges against that person for harassment. Or you can go into the directory and find that individual's supervisor and turn the tables.
That's fking psychotic behavior. To think that person is working it Twitch... fully within expectations now that I think about it.
Creative Director of Twitch “creating drama” 😂
he's a creative director, he's creating drama, that killed me
Harris is awesome. He has tons of copywrite free music for content creators.
“He’s doing his job! How about that?”
I just about died. 😂
What a clown.
I think Harris handled it well.
unpopular opinion hear but Seth should have stopped chatting after asking Harris to talk one on one
Everytime I've ever heard about anyone who works at Twitch they always end up being basement dwelling weirdos like this.
Not only is he a staff member he is literally the director for twitch rivals
Bro they just KEPT doubling down like just leave the stream at that point, so weird
I actually like that harris is getting this attention. More people should know about him
this actually makes me wanna check him out, never watched him before
This is giving me heavy "Nope, you are wrong and biased, I win, bye bye," vibes here.
This should never have happened
“dog on a leash outburst” is a perfect way to describe this 😂😂 what a clown
I dont even watch twitch anymore but what a strange place managed by weird people.
same... any time i try to watch something there i have to sit through 2+ 30 second long adverts, and when i only use it to watch esports tournaments where there will often be 4 streams going at once, swapping back and forth between them becomes fucking impossible because of all the advert spam... plus it won't even show the stream until all the ads are done so if you're trying to switch stream to catch a teamfight in a game, by the time the fucking ads are over it's done with anyway. So i just watch on youtube now instead. fuck twitch.
First time?
The gaslighting is real, holy moly
They strike me as a person who can definitely take constructive criticism. Their coworkers must love working with them!
I think harassment is too strong a word for what happened but its for sure a weird and strange interaction. Staff member tells them they're wrong then denies it right after, could've just said they were wrong with what they initially said, all in all a pointless and odd thing for their staff to be doing, it isn't harassment though.
@MiiMavis hahahahahaha 🤣 I didn't catch that at first and I was baffled trying to understand what you meant, bravo 👏
"what I cant even end my stream? wtf?"
If a Twitch staff member can randomly go into Streamer's chat and harrassing people, they should either fire that person, or tell them that harrassing streamers is horses-shit and put them on their last warning. It's like Twitch want to destroy their platform as much as possible.
bit melodramatic there
I went back and watched this it was over several minutes. I thought it was funny the twitch staffs last message before he got banned were like that’s fine have a good day
Other platforms need to be going in on they punches, because twitch is giving every creator a reason to leave, they just need an incentive.
The psycho-analysis Asmon performed on this Twitch dev is nuts. LOL. Guy definitely didn't make comments in that stream thinking it would get it's own video, he's probably going to get fired.
Twitch just came in saying, "No, this is not a fact. It's an alternative fact."
See, Seth Hendrix, you are the Creative Director of Twitch and I could say you are not creative and your are not good at directing anything and you would still be the Creative Director because its a title. But if I said "I'm not saying your are creative, but you lack the ability to come up with creative ideas" - that would be a contradiction. It would be correct in the actual meaning given your abilities, but as a sentence...
i've seen quite a few of these staffers hanging around in streams lately. some are cool but most are seeking attention so desperately that it becomes borderline cringe worthy and pathetic.
"I feel so uncomfortable" by mild disagreement put out in a polite way. New generation of snowflakes will be a doom for us all.
I like that the streamer that the streamer gives off "he he, pls help, he he" vibes in this clip
how is this harassment? lol
They know theyre a holes and their decisions are bad for the consumer and streamer. Them trying to repair the damgage is making it worse.
Why are they wasting their time on streamers chats?! Fix the damn platform
Crazy. And I doubt the guy received any form of punishment for doing that in the guy's stream.
Be so funny if now a twitch staff member harassed asmon and he couldn't ban them q: would be the only based person that works at twitch lol
that "And you tried to ban me?" very fokin weird my dude
heavy parasocial vibes from that twitch staff
this dudes for sure fired lol
with how things are going? Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he got a raise.
in a normal world he would be, but sadly we are living in the clown dimension, so i would not bet on it.
They'll ban the streamer instead.
Everyone in the office is high fiving him for “sticking up” for them aka being weirdly defensive
You can block their messages with stylebot.
Find unique characteristics of their staff elements and just z-index/display/height/opacity/whatever their elements.
Doesn’t stop others from seeing it, but stops you from seeing it
Didn't Twitch have a 'transgender deer' on their ethics council?
The staff member is gaslighting so much he should get charged with arson
The sad part, this streamer helps newer streamers and YTers. He BUILDS communities and higher-value content. Then to try to dismiss him and his opinions as if he is starting drama is laughable. I have been watching his tips for years, never became a streamer but I like his content and learned a lot about audio and video.
This Twitch dude' attitude explains a whooooooole lot.
This is obviously wrong by the guy to do, and was in poor taste. But harrasment? Cmon, we arent that sensitive are we?
It was harrassment. There's only one rational interpretation here: It was harrassment
@@baialjo Good argument. It was harrasment because it was harrasment! Ig sending 4 arguably passive aggressive messages is harrasment.
This is childish behavior you would expect on high school, not from a grown man.
The number of times I've had Twitch Mods or Twitch staff try and extort me for access to a streamer i like actually made me stop using the platform. No, i wont go to your Pokemon stream and make a public donation bagging you to allow me to watch a streamer I like. I stlll dont know what i did on most occasions. One said i spoiled a game that ive never played. How do i defend myself against that?
Twitch hiring people like that? Goes to show what the hell the road will look like going down for them
Not that surprising considering they hire pc tech guys that work from home. The guy is probably a discord and Reddit mod as “side gigs”
Twitch Staff: "You think you have power here?"
Can't wait to see the employee go on a power trip and ban the streamer
