They really had us thinking these guys were gonna be the ultimate crew, and they really had us thinking showing them taking the menos grande's was so cool. Like at this point in the show most characters should be able to take down a menos without bankai or any crazy power up lol
They should have been the ones to deal with the Fullbringers. it would make perfect sense as well, like a "who do you think you are, stepping on our turf?" Like they had been tracking them for months. With the help of Kisuke. Like everything goes the same except for the Captains and VC showing up. or maybe if you still need to show off how far Renji, Byakuya, etc have come. Have maybe more than a handful of them? Lmao
to be fair, hitsugaya become captain after shiba is gone and that was 18-20 years ago while hirako and others (and urahara) was 110 years. only veterans like shisui, ukitake, unohana, yamamoto, soi fon and mayuri knows

It's not just that, when writing stories with many characters, it's kinda hard to scale and use them efficiently. That's also why I'm impressed with Overlord's writing. They have so much characters but the author used them efficiently, giving most of them character arcs, too bad he got tired of writing and wanted to finish the story.....

Thats why you see a lot of modern battle shonen like jjk, demon slayer, black clover, etc have many group fights. Cause it allows multiple people share the spotlight. They also have less characters AND people actually die or get decommissioned. Bleach and naruto realized a little too late to kill people off.
