Great review Ivan, I really enjoyed viewing it. I recently purchased the NV 200 S, the "plain Jane" model. Thus far, I'm most pleased with the van's handling, it's gas millage, and it's cargo and load capacity. As a musician and as one with a fairly healthy daily commute, I needed a reliable vehicle that could hold the band's equipment and get us to and from gigs safely and surely, but I also wanted an economical means of getting to and from work. Needless to say, the Nissan NV 200 fit my needs perfectly, and your review only validates this two-fold, sir.
How is the reliability after 6 months ? I'm in the process of buying one ... but I will trade my Toyota for the upcomming NV200 and I'm little affraid ( tire cupping , cvt problems , bad sealing of rubber door , bad feet heater , etc ) What do you dislike about yours ?
Honestly speaking, my only beef thus far with my 2015 NV200 is the puny rear bumper. Other than this, I've been very happy with the vehicle. I purchased it for two reasons: one, as a drummer who gigs fairly often i wanted a van to cart my gear safely and surely and one that could also hold my guitar player's gear as well. The second reason had to do with acquiring a trustworthy economical vehicle for my hour work commute (one hour each way). Needless to say, the NV200 meets these needs of mine handsomely. I have had no issues come up in the areas you mention in your post. At least (knock on wood ergo my head) not yet.
Great review! I am working on getting one right now to convert to the Recon Camper. A modern day Westfalia! Glad to see the van is car like and comfortable to drive. Sure, the engine is rather small, but CVT should help it out! Thanks!
good reviews, I like yours better than channels like the fast lane car, as you look at more practical things, things the every day person uses/wants, and aren't as focused on how fast the car is.
I have been driving a 2015 model for 3 years, average 100+ miles a day delivering auto parts all around OKC, OK. Never any problems with the cvt. I flog on this lil van with multiple wide open throttle accelerations (on-ramps) and have topped it out at 114mph on the local turnpike. I would buy one today for my own personal vehicle. The only problem I have noticed is a vibration at 45 to 50 mph on hard accel, might be a wonky driveshaft or inherent to the cvt, dont know, easy to live with for the nice driveability. We did put larger tires on the lil truck. I think it has 205/70/15's now, which fill out the wheelhousings a little better and boost the ride height a scootch, though it does skew the speedo about 6mph slower than your actual speed. That 114 was verified using the gps on my phone on a long downhill downwind run. Pretty good number for a 4cyl. van! Only a 12 gallon fuel tank, but good mileage at 23.5 mpg even with my foot in it on a regular basis. Nice even pull with no perceptible gear shift on take off. Will easily jump out front when taking off from a light. Has 66k on the odometer now, only repair of note was LF hub bearing had some growl noise on right turns, so I replaced it and no more growl now. Get one is my advice!
do you have a link to the other Nissan video you were referring to at the beginning? I looked at your list of videos but there's a lot there I got to go back several years. I couldn't tell from your playlists whether they would be in there somewhere.

I'd be interested in one of these if A) The cargo could hold 4x8 sheets and B) If it had more torque under the hood for towing. I'm not convinced a CVT is a wise transmission for a vehicle that's going to be hauling/towing weight.
palebeachbum It can only hold 1500 pounds. The cvt will be fine. It isn't like you are hauling anything heavy. It is no different than putting 7 adults in a minivan. Also, all the Nissan cvts have a 10 year warranty on them.
does the CVT, itself, have a longer warranty than the rest of the engine?...because I read the engine has a 5 year/100,000 mile warranty (which is still 2 years longer than most other van brands)

maybe you could improve the puny rear bumper with that : www.amazon.com/VANGUARD-2013-2016-Nissan-Bumper-Single/dp/B01B375PU8
sweet! thanks stromeurM
Hello, am going to buy one dear mate! what are your reviews after 2 years? thanks

+Brandon Fenus Thanks for watching and liking! Put a link here when you are finished with your conversion. It sounds really cool!

+Stompbox99 Thanks!!! And please share my reviews with your friends!
Great Review! Great Presentation by the reviewer.
+Clem Albertson THANKS!!!!
You lost me at CVT. Not my idea of reliable transmission for work or hauling.

The nissan NV200 is actually rated as the most reliable cargo van on the market
@@davidhamilton8984 I’m looking to purchase a NV200 Very soon! Could you recommend the tool hauling company I could look to apply for?

My only complaint with my 200 NV is the fuel tank is too small, on a trip from Miami to Boston, it requires several gas stops.
you rock! thank you for this awesome review! im thinking of saving up for one, definitely! :D
Is that a 4 cylinder engine or does it come with a 6 cylinder
4 cylinder.
Is that the size/version "compact cargo"? Thx!
Yes that is what they call compact cargo. It's not a full size cargo van like the nv1500 or transit 150.
I'd be interested in one of these if A) The cargo could hold 4x8 sheets and B) If it had more torque under the hood for towing. I'm not convinced a CVT is a wise transmission for a vehicle that's going to be hauling/towing weight.

taradead due to a lemon law case, pre 2018 Nissan cvts got a warrantee extension to 10 years.
iVan? :)
