I own a Roto Grip Halo, it is a great ball and fits well in my bag. In my bag there is the Halo, an Intense Fire, and a Game Breaker 3 Pearl. How does the Halo compare to the Crux Prime, the Sure Lock and the Physix's and which of these three balls would fit best in my bag?
Halo is the one that probably has the most defined move vs the Prime or Sure Lock. If you have a Halo, not sure you need those unless you like those big pieces in which case you should change the surfaces. Physix might be the best compliment.
TamerBowling, thank you for your reply and help. I bowl at Limerick Bowl too. Your videos are very helpful. Who do you use to get your bowling balls drilled?
Sure lock is the strongest ball on the market from any company. For a speed dominant player on house I would suggest halo cause sure lock although a solid is a bit snappy.
Hi, Tamer. I just want to confirm about your comment that this ball will be useful on long pattern sport shot. I am really looking for a ball that can be used for a long pattern such as the 50' and 52' patterns. We just got back from Junior Gold in Detroit. After seeing the pattern, I learned that my son struggled on the long pattern (50'). What can you advise him as far as tackling a long pattern? As far as ball is concern, what type of ball should he use? Will Surelock work on these patterns? Thank you so much.
Long patterns can be tricky as pattern length alone doesn't determine which ball to use. Volume is important as well. Speed control is also important when the pattern is so long. Surface can help but if the volume isn't very high, it can chew up the front of the lanes which then means the ball starts up early and doesn't hold but also forces the bowler deeper which can be out of play. Most of the time, those patterns require play where the breakpoint is pretty tight to the headpin. It's always worth having a strong ball that creates motion. You may not always need it but on these longer or heavier patterns, they could come into play.
This little bowling ball is definitely weaker than my drilled thru the pin, Storm Invasion...I have had my Invasion since day 1.. The core and coverstock is second to nothing 🍒
I love my halo.
This ball is a beast, hooks a ton!
Can you do the Brunswick Quantum Bias in the near future? Thank you!

Halo or sure lock? For a speed dominant stroker on sport and house shots?
I prefer the Halo.

That approach, ouch!
Yeah, had some trouble...
There is no way this ball isn't at least an A its versatility and usage puts other balls in the dirt especially on sports shots.
