A research study conducted by the US Department of Defense has hailed Iran’s achievements in its ballistic missiles program despite decades of Washington-imposed sanctions, saying its arsenal is larger than that of any other Middle Eastern countries.
"Iran has an extensive missile development program, and the size and sophistication of its missile force continues to grow despite decades of counter proliferation efforts aimed at curbing its advancement," the Pentagon study said.
Iran has "the largest missile force in the Middle East," the report added.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, a US intelligence official said that Israel was included in the analogy.
The US Department of Defense also repeated allegations that Iran’s missiles program was not for peaceful and defensive purposes.
“Iran has embraced ballistic missiles as a long-range strike capability to dissuade its adversaries in the region - particularly the United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia - from attacking Iran," the report said, adding that Tehran had developed a series of missiles that could strike at a distance of 2,000 kilometers - capable of reaching Tel Aviv or Riyadh.
Iranian authorities have time and again said that the country’s missile program has not been established for non-conventional purposes and is only meant as part of the country’s deterrence capability.
The chief commander of Iran’s elite IRGC force says the country managed to change the balance of power in its favor by harnessing ballistic missile technology.
The US has ratcheted up pressure on Iran since last year after withdrawing from a 2015 nuclear deal with the Islamic Republic and other countries.
Since then, the administration of US President Donald Trump has been trying to reduce Iran’s oil exports to “zero,” and sent an aircraft carrier strike group as well as some 1,500 additional forces to the region to counter an alleged threat from Iran.
Iranian officials have dismissed such moves as psychological warfare, saying the country has its own ways of confronting the American animosity.
The Islamic Republic says it poses no threat to any country, but will defend itself if attacked.

It's a movie about this I watched back in 2018, you don't actually see the war but in the movie it shows on the news how the US had invaded and the US was about to capture Tehran then Russia dropped tactical nukes on U.S. positions then it started a nuclear war and in the end the main character went to sleep in a machine and woke up years later to a nuclear earth, can't remember the movie name but if anybody remember please tell me

@Kurogane 556 Well telling that only your country fighting against Iran is quite a stress. Once US and Iran is at war, it's not "US vs Iran", but *US vs Iran, Iranian backed militia group, Russian Support, China Support, etc* .
To be fair, the US is not alone. Most likely you will have the usual ally UK, France, maybe some NATO one like Poland ( Yes, Poland join the Iraq invasion, so I put that in), close Middle Eastern allyl like UAE, Saudi Arabia, etc....)
There's a reason currently US and Iran stop only at missile launch, couple of airstrike, economy sanction, and verbal battle without go further, because they both know that war is disastrous for both side. ;)

neelesh singh the Iranian’s air defense is led by the Russian made S-300PMU2. Its similar in make to the Slovakian S-300PMU and Greek S-300PMU1.
The only real difference is that the S-300PMU2 has greater engagement ranges in comparison to either the Slovak and Greek versions. But the detection ranges are not different.

In the first place the S-300PMU2 and Bavar 373 have almost exactly equal detection ranges at 300km, while the S-300 allows for the engagement of 12 targets. The Bavar 373 only allows for the engagement of 6 targets. Engagement ranges for both systems is about 200km.
