Considering the situation, he could not stop immediately and ended up seizing the engine. He replaced the motor with a brand new one and it now stands at nearly 8L KM. He had to stop driving because of health issues, but he refuses to sell the car. Shows you what the original Fiesta meant to owners who loved to drive.

This one was indeed a surprise JD! I own the very similar Fiesta ST3 Mk7.5 here in Europe and it’s a one hell of a car❤one of the best hot hatch ever made.
I drive same model Fiesta (2017 make) in Dubai. made in Germany, 1.6L 4cyl engine with 110hp output. It’s just awesome and still drives great. Really a drivers car for the comfort and pleasure on offer, though it’s a little slow initially (non-turbo). Audio system, though not the Sony sync unit, sounds superb (if you compare with others in the same category or even one segment above). Thanks for sharing the video. 😍
I believe nothing would be a substitute for Talking Cars, it was indeed marvellous and informative and I never skipped even a single show, a humble request please try to resolve issues if any and rejuvenate the Talking cars once again

I had the 2012 fiesta global and it was one of the best drivers car under 20 lakhs at that time. As you rightly said, the rear end styling was a turn off. But the ride , steering feedback and handling was superb. Service cost never went above 5k. I used it for almost 5 years and never had any issues
Brilliant video and a unique find! Brings back some fond and some not-so-fond memories of my Fiesta Zetec S (3-door, manual, 1.0 EcoBoost with 125 hp). This particular example looks peculiar with it's Titanium X variant's features and Zetec S variant's (later called ST-Line) front and rear bumpers, probably due to it's JDM origins. AFAIK, the 1.0 EcoBoost with the PowerShift transmission came only in the 100 bhp tune. It was the manuals - Zetec S Red/Black Editions and the later ST-Line that came with the 140 bhp tune. It's miles ahead of the equivalent Polo in the steering and handling department. The steering is pin-sharp and fairly communicative for an EPAS (that's high praise from someone who used to drive a Grande Punto :). The handling balance and the way it 'pivots' around corners is just amazing. The Fiesta ST is the pick of the bunch and gives more smiles/hour compared to the fast, though a bit clinical Polo GTI. The bad bits of the Mk6 (Mk7/7.5 in the UK) generation of the Fiesta were the 1.0 EcoBoost engine with the notorious wetbelt issues (which earned it's nickname - EcoBoom, the not-so-fond memories that I mentioned at the beginning) and poor reliability of the dry clutch PowerShift DCT. However, preventive and regular maintenance should keep these issues under control.
Thanks for the detailed feedback! The spec on this car is still a mystery as it's a Japan model and not very documented. Hopefully the engine stays ecoboost and not ecoboom! 😅
I own a global fiesta (last generation) about to clock 1 lakh km but still one of the best car out there for those who looks for a good drivers car with great fuel efficiency (23/litre in highways). Very much happy with the product but still wish if these specs could also be had integrated with it. Great content brother 🎉

Always loved this hatch. One of the hot looking rearend, personal preference. Always hoped it would come to india under 15lk back in the day. Now, a new hope is brewing. 🤞🏼! Also ford fiesta ST in blue shade always made me drool.

It's a big concern. Got nickname "ecoboom" in uk. I was looking the comments to see atleast someone may mention it. I won't recommend anyone to buy ford which have ecoboost engine. I know personally people suffer cause of wet belt isses

@@Jaydsgarage it was launched before time. Even Kisashi was a futuristic car. Ever heard of Aravind automobiles. There. Is a hand made car in my tharavadu garage, in kochi, 40 years back it was air conditioned and even had an auto aerial. An excellent one but not produced commercially.
I used to own a 2013 1.6 TDCI Zetec S, which was a good looking car with very efficient fuel consumption and low maintenance costs. However, one issue I faced was that the pillar always restricted my view on corners. Overall, it was a great car and would have been successful in India if launched.
there is another fiesta , the ecoboost 1L 3 cylinder turbocharged . it was a pocket rocket. i had to sell vehicle an year back . it had the cambelt replacement which was very expensive but still its ok . very much fun to drive no lag
