Robby gentrification is gentrification! Whether it is Whites or Blacks being displaced, it’s the process of moving poor people out of an area, so wealthier people can benefit. The only reason the Right frames it different, is because they insist on seeing it through a racial lens, to detract from the fact that gentrification is a class issue, that sometimes has racial elements. But it happens to poor whites also!
Poverty comes with certain types of behavior and conditions. You cannot use circumstances that our unequal society cause, as the justification to move people; move them where?

Ideally gentrification is an organic activity that occurs when housing in a somewhat convenient area of a city located near jobs or a city center is invested in by both individuals and developers which increases values thus increasing property tax revenue to the city. Imminent domain is the use of the state to "legally" take property of a citizen, not always "marginalized" people to advantages supporter of politicians or the politicians themselves. I find it paradoxical that socialists like Katie, who are for massive increases in government power, can't see the end product of that power. As state power become absolute it goes from imminent domain and no knock warrents to, city residents in Cambodia or Kulaks in Russia. State power leads to corruption and really bad outcomes. That is if anything Katie H. says can be believed. Bad journalism leads to increased mistrust in media.

“The officers said that they announced themselves as police before forcing entry, but Walker said he did not hear any announcement, thought the officers were intruders, and fired a warning shot at them.[13] The shot hit Mattingly in the leg,[14] and the officers fired 32 shots in return.”
The New York Times interviewed roughly a dozen neighbors and reported that only one of them, who was on the exterior staircase immediately above Taylor's apartment, heard the officers shout "Police!" once and knock at least three times, while approximately 11 other neighbors heard no knock or announcement, including one who was outside smoking a cigarette.

Just to be clear, even though a “no knock warrant” was issued, it was not used. The police knocked multiple times, which allowed Brionna’s boyfriend the time to retrieve his gun and be aimed in at the door before the police entered. The other houses raided that night did utilize no knock procedures and were all handled without any shots being fired. So, I don’t believe the “no knock” was such the boogey man that the news continues to portray, in this instance.

And third I would say the mayor does play a bigger role in this story because I believe the officer who was shot during the raid wrote a book about the incident and mentions how the mayor hung the police out to dry when the backlash erupted. He was on Tim Pools podcast talking about this. Finally I still think the boyfriend used Taylor as a human shield to avoid being shot.
