WOW my friend , i think Eagle Eyes just realized that his tour will now become real. That is so kind of you and you made a young boy very happy with that. He was jumping up and down here and just smiling form ear to ear. I am touched by that my friend and we thank you for the kindness. Please leave us your mail if you may. ( you can find our mail address where there are links in the video description )THANK YOU and we send a greeting from us.
Eagle Eyes lived up to his name on this trip! Might want to add Compass to his nickname as he seems to be pretty good at helping you find your way as my son does on our road trips. :)
I sent you an email with my mailing address. I also added a link to show you and Eagle Eyes what me and my son do together. Have a blessed day@@WW2HistoryHunter
Wow, super generous of you.
I believe they are primer cannisters for those big cannons you know the really bid ones were you load from the breach the shell then the bag of powder then close the breach load the primer into the breach block then boom
Wow, a huge find of fuse boxes, both metal and Bakelite, what a find EE and HH! A once in a lifetime discovery! Leave it to EE to use his discovery powers to find something in the woods under a huge rock! Crazy! Thank you for the ammo pouches and the fuse container you sent me! Much appreciated! The grandsons love these pieces of history! I look forward to what comes next! Stay safe and stay well!
How interesting finding the containers in that location. Must of been a convenient place to dump them. Good find EE!
We thank YOU for that my friend and it is greatly appreciated and EE will get his dream come true it seems :)
EE I tried to do this on the last video but was having internet issues. I really hope this helps you with the Touching History Tour. What an amazing cache of fuse boxes you found.
om my , you just made a young boy so happy and you should have seen his smile and he even jumped up and down here as he now knows that his tour will come true. He will touch and share history in a very special way and we thank YOU for your kindness so he can do that. Dreams do come true and EE has a little surprise for you :) Thank you from us.
@@WW2HistoryHunter I am so happy to help EE achieve his dream. I look forward to the videos hosted by such an inspirational young man.
From reading, the 5 is the number of items. Zdlg was the abbreviation for primers (fuse explosive). The fuse screws into the tip of the shell. The nose of the shell is a void and the detonator (fuse) shoots its flame thru this cavity, igniting the explosives in the shell base. A, B or C type indicated how it was secured in the shell, so shells and detonators had similar compatability markings. This could have been the location of an anti-tank gun, of various sizes up to 10cm bore. I've seen bakelite containers for similar fuses for sale online. USE CARE WITH ANY THAT SEEM HEAVY. THEY MAY CONTAIN UNEXPLODED ORDINANCE THAT COULD BE UNSTABLE.
Well the aluminum cases were pretty special but exceptional to find the Bakelite ones all intact. Can't believe that you carried that many of them back, that is some dedication!!
yes they were in pretty decent shape and very glad for that. Thanks my friend and more to come .)
The could be explosive !?
Tin containers? Aliminium was a strategic material for aircraft, imho. 👍
VERY much so.
We missed plane production numbers by around 30% or so, because they couldn't mine and process enough aluminium.
Mining and processing was increased as fast as possible. But more and more planes were needed until near the very end.
Thanks
Very kind of you my friend and we thank you for that. Greetings from us and be safe out there :)
@@WW2HistoryHunter just a little bit of fuel for Eagle Eye's Touching History Tour. love your content and thoroughly enjoying watching Eagle Eye's excitement for History. I can't wait for more content. Peace and love
@@2old2GAF666 We love to share and we share great moments with you my friend :)
Definitely one of THE most incredible "once in a lifetime" discoveries ever. What a super amazing find by Eagle Eyes! To see these containers, lying under that rock shelf, in all that greenery, while focused on getting to the magnet fishing spot, and not expecting such any Finds. Huge support for EE to just keep on doing what he does best. Finding amazing things, in the most unexpected places! I'm wondering if that area was an artillery range used for practice shoots in the early stages of the war, after the Fall of France, and before Operation Barbarossa? Since most of the Gaine containers seem to be dated around 1940, and the round Flare container would fit that too. And you guys just found the "secret" dumping place for unwanted containers. Well done to both of you for digging so many pieces out of there! Thank you both for sharing this amazing, incredible, find! Stay Safe!
Yes for me it was just a case of let us get to the water but for him it is adventure everywhere and it pays off. very glad for that. We think they must either have been duped there by intention or just random from structures that was near by once up on a time. Thanks so much for being here my friend :)
With all that you do for your viewers, you guys deserve a great find, fantastic guys 👍🏻😁
Thanks 👍
Thanks!
Very kind of you my friend and thank you for that :)
What an interesting find .EE, great job finding those Containers. Look forward to Seeing part two .
Thanks 👍
Thanks! EagleEyes is amazing!
We thank you for that my friend and it is much appreciated my friend. Thank you and greetings from us :)
For the Touching History Tour
WW2HistoryHunter
Probably 7 euro...few drops of fuel or a chocolate bar...
I wish it could be more...
I hope it helps in a small way to make E.E's dream become a reality ❤
My friend , that is very kind of you and believe me every penny coming in helps us out a lot to go out and do more and share more with you. We thank you for that and we are honored that you are here with us. Greetings from us and be safe out there :)
The metal cases are awesome, but the bakelite ones, undamaged, are a fabulous find! Well done, Eagle Eyes!!!❤
Yes they are Cynthia and so glad EE found that. he was so incredible proud and happy. Thanks and more to come :)
Those containers held Aerial flares for a Flare gun. Remember......at night they were popping these off every minute or 2 in order to see if the enemy was creeping on them OR were launching them for night attacks or repelling night attacks. Pretty cool if you found the flare pistol
Thanks for watching.
Since it says what they are on the box how can you get it wrong ?
@@snowflakemelter1172 Sorry. I didn't sit through the whole video watching him toss and turn these over and over and over saying : WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE THINGS???? I instantly knew what they were and just posted it! I'm a WW2 Military collector of mostly German and Russian equipment
Zdl. A = Zündladung A
Oversized fuse for artillery shells mostly used by the german navy.
Good afternoon from Syracuse NY USA brother and everyone else thank you for sharing your adventures in history videos
Good morning and welcome to us Earl. Hope you have a great day :)
Great job EE, your curiosity always pays off. Keep up the things you do. This was an unexpected surprise on your way to go magnet fishing. I wonder what went on in this area to have that many containers there. Also makes you wonder what might be under all those boxes. Thank you and EE for all your hard work and wonderful content you bring for us to see. Hope all is well and stay safe out there my friends.
Yes that was truly a HUGE surprise and who would have guessed. WE will look more into this later and so glad we could share this with you my friend. Thanks and greetings from us.
I absolutely love watching your videos. There is so much tangible history in Europe I will never be able to visit thank you and your family for bringing this history into my home. Thank you!
Glad you like them and we appreciate you being here :)
Wow, I am sittimg here looking at the fuse case you kindly sent me, and watching EE actually pull it out of the ground, a truely magically expericence. EE you lived up to your name once again, just finding hundreds of these laying under a rock, well done young man. Thank you for sharing this with us all. Stay safe and well my friends

That’s awesome! They’re not just pieces of history, but they’re also proof that there was military action in the 1940s
So true and very glad he found that so we could share that with you :)
What a great find of you and indeed so much. It's is that magnet fishing was canceled, but this find is certainly a saving grace.

An absolute fantastic Video I really enjoyed watching. Finding stuff like that must be extremely rare. I’m glad you went through the forest and not the road!!!!!
Awesome, thank you!
Congratulations, Eagle Eyes found the long lost WW2 German Leprechaun forest treasure. Great find!
Great find it is. They are actually igniter and gain element cases and so glad we could share this with you :)
During the Vietnam War one of my Vietnamese Interrogators brought me a bakelite container which had a clockwork mechanism inside it. Reading the writing on the mechanism I determined it must be Russian made since it contained Russian writing on it. I kept it on my desk and a few days later while interrogating a North Vietnamese mortar man, a POW, I asked him if he knew what this mechanism was used for....he said, "it's a time fuse for a 82mm mortar or a 122mm rocket which allows them to have a timed air burst". At that time we were having problems with our helicopters being damaged by air bursts, but we didn't know what the North Vietnamese and the Viet Cong were using to obtain those air bursts. I forwarded this mechanism to CDEC/CMEC in Saigon, along with a copy of my interrogation report which solved the "secret" of how they were attaining air bursts when shooting at our aircraft!
How interesting thank you so much for sharing that with us Appreciate you being here my friend and greetings from us :)
What an absolutely crazy find! Way to go EE! So glad you brought us along
Loved it and EE was over the moon finding that. Thanks.
Incredible find Eagle Eyes !!!
That is a super find. Love watching your videos and seeing how much your channel has grown over the years.
Thanks so much!
Great find! Certainly collectible. BRAVO ZULU, Eagle Eyes!
Many thanks!
This was simply amazing! This had to be a once in a lifetime find! EE has done it again. That young man is awesome! I cant wait to see what else he has found. Those containers were in amazing condition to be that old. They were so well preserved. Until next time take care and stay safe. 💖💯
Yes what a find and i am so happy for EE. He was so happy when that happened. Thanks Julie :)
What a fantastic find. This is what I found on the containers and it looks to be correct. Thank you both for sharing this once in a life time find and as always " Good Hunting " (Zdlg. "A")
The gaine consists of an aluminium body 2.95 inches long and 0.83 inch in diameter, filled with a pressed pellet of Cyclonite/Wax 92/8, weighing 577 grains, density 1.61. The Cyc-lonite/Wax mixture is tinted pale blue by the addition of a small quanitity of drystuff. A cavity is formed at the head end to receive the detonator, which is enclosed in an alumi-nium tube. The detonator contains 6.5 grains of cylconite under 6.3 grains lead azide/ lead styphnate (58.8 per cent/41.2 per cent). A disc of aluminium, with a central hole, holds the detonator tube firmly in its cavity and is itself held by a leather washer. An aluminium ring completes the closure by being folded over the lip of the body. The body is marked "Zündladung A" or "Zdlg. A".
How cool to read and know my friend and we thank you for that great feedback. Loved ot do that with EE and share it with you. Thank you for your great support and greetings from us
Someone had a fight here to be dumping these by the hundred...
That was just extraordinary, especially discovering it live as we watched. That EE has got some eyes on him that's for sure! Great stuff as usual, thanks EE and HH!
Yes EE was over the moon that day and he smiled all day long after that :) Thanks my friend.
EE, YOU DEFINITELY HAVE THE EAGLE EYE YOUR DAD TALKS ABOUT. THANKS FOR SHARING THIS VERY IMPRESSIVE FIND. BEST OF LUCK IN YOUR

Well we shall share more later :)
Well that was worth going out there, there really is so much history out there, thanks again you two.
Our pleasure!
One reason I really enjoy watching this channel is the length of the videos. I was going to say that earlier but at the end of this video you mentioned it and had to give you and eagle eyes applause for great videos! Thank you!
Thank you for that. The shorts videos are ruining us honest working people who really do put down tons of work and effort to bring something special for people to enjoy and learn from. Thank YOU for being here my friend :)
Looks like something you could definitely sell to collectors. Might be worth a few trips back there!
ope , they will not be sold. We give them away to our supporters :) Thanks.
I agree more trips to that location. There are probably many other traces in the area. I'd circle out a hundred meters or more with a metal detector.
Thank you to you too for 'bought us' to experiencing your adventure.. we appreciate it..
Thanks.
A truly amazing find, almost like a munitions dump. Eagle eyes deserves a feather in his cap for that discovery.
Will let him know your kind words and greetings from us.
It's all 23 mm cylinder fuse holder ‘Zünder Dose’, the largest I think contained fuses for mortar bombs, they were made of aluminum, Bakelite and heavy cardboard
Thanks for tip and for watching.
❤ excellent finds Eagle eyes. Your a fine young man. 😎👍✌️🇺🇲
Thank you kindly Robert and EE got very lucky with that one :) Thanks my friend :)
WOW! What a treasure trove EE found! His nickname fits him to a tee! I can't believe these were dumped there and have been sitting there all this time.
Neither can we and EE is such a lucky boy and to be honest i really dont know how he does it. Thanks my friend :)
The best WW2 History channel ever full of genuine unbiased history. EE didn't let us down as he once again found a tresure chest of WW2 (1940's) artifacts. Some kind of containers? Great find on the bakelite items also. Cool indeed. Mosquitoes suck literally 😮. Be interesting to know more about your finds with the texts. Awesome finds EE. Thanks ❤
Yes EE was over the moon for that and we do get rewarded every now and then spending time with history and sharing it with you. Thanks and greetings from us.
EE, you did it yet again. What a stockpile of WW2 treasures for artillary tips and mortar. That would be a rare find I think finding that many 1940 era Bakelite and aluminum containers. Good work EE. ❤
Yes EE is EE for a reason :) Thanks Girl :)

Great find and thanks :)
*WOW* ...truly an amazing discovery and over 80 years in the making! Congrats to you guys and especially to Eagle Eyes! 👍....I'm not a 'short video' fan. The novelty wears off and I prefer longer, more in-depth and interesting videos..like yours! Cheers from British Columbia, Canada 🥰

Spectacular random finds!
So many of them!
Probably a good thing that you guys got lost on the way to magnet fish😂
I was surprised those ignitior/gain fuse containerswere made out of aluminium... early in the war, by the dates...
I guess the bakerlite ones were from later, when the Luftwaffe needed all the aluminium for aircraft.
Keep up the excellent work History Hunter team ❤

Thanks 👍
Now that is a huge dump point. Nice find EE.
Yes so true and he was so happy finding that and thank you for your great support.
Nice one, well spotted EE.
Thanks :)
Truly an astounding discovery! The containers are kinda cool, but what impresses me most is the finding of such an ecological paradox...
That this space beneath the rock, in the middle of a predominantly deciduous forest, has remained almost completely devoid of leaves and other vegetative materials for around eight decades warrants extensive investigation.
Add to that the containers, for these eight decades, were apparently never found until now...
It also occurs to me that soldiers are normally instructed to conceal their refuse in combat areas to prevent detection by enemy forces. This cavity seemed to have served as a very convenient trash receptacle. That there is such a limited variety of cast off materials has me downright flummoxed.
Yes this is a very unique find indeed and probably one in a lifetime. very strange but so glad that Eagle Eyes did that discovery. Thanks for watching.
I love your channle you all love finding ww2 stuff I’d love to get out and find some of that stuff but I can’t bc my body won’t let me so I watch you and your friends find it besafe and have a good evening love you all ❤❤

ok and thanks for watching.

That's absolutely insane. Those bakelite ones are amazing!!! I wish i knew the location. Was there a massive mortar or artillery position there at some point? A large battle nearby?
Interesting place it is. There were several artillery locations in the area as far as we know. Thanks my friend :)
