It's not that. Thawne is SO far behind Barry now, that he appears to be moving in slow motion. If Thawne were as fast as Barry, that wouldn't work.
Flash Time is Barry's perspective when he's moving fast. If Thawne were as fast, it would probably look like a regular fight.
To be fair, Eobard has been locked away in the Speed Force for a long time, and "Nora" has been feeding Barry upgrades.
@@jokerinthebronx Flash time is not “his perspective” when moving fast, it is his highest form of speed in which he was able to move so fast that a nuclear explosion was expanded into relativistic hours and still having barely moved - this amount of speed depletes a speedsters speedforce energy and stamina rapidly and can’t be maintained for long.

it's so satisfying seeing how far barry has come i've watched the flash since season 1
he's finally on his way to becoming the flash that thawne idolized and then became enemies with in the first place, before he went back in time and emotionally crippled young barry by killing his mother and framing his father.

Initially, I didn't like the lightsaber fight that they had with Godspeed. But now it makes sense. Barry not showing off his speed in front of Eobard makes this revelation all the more fun, because Eobard isn't aware how fast Barry has become.
Then why couldn't he defeat Godspeed alone? I know Godspeed was faster than this Thawne, but still, the difference in speed that Barry displays here should be far more than enough to showcase that he could beat Godspeed alone.
@@ghoulknight1526Barry wasn’t prepared to kill Godspeed which is what he knew they needed to beat him. He knew that Thawne would be too worried about Godspeed killing Barry before he could and setting up his double cross so he let Thawne keep Godspeed off his back until they could defeat him.

Fun fact: the lightning sparks indicate their connection to the speedforce
The closer the color is to white the faster the person gets, so thawne, who had a dark red was say slower than flash who had a bright yellow

Next season needs to find a way to not just remove Thawne powers but sever his connection from the Negative Speed Force (NSF), so that when he dies again its permanent. Maybe even destroy the NSF too so no one will possibly connect with it again, Nora did briefly. The icing on the cake will b to restore his original face, if Matt Letscher will return.

0:41 see, this is what i like about this flash compared too the Justice league movie flash.
When flash time happens during the justice league movie, the lightning is bouncing off of stuff during flash time, which i wasn’t a fan of because Batman should’ve reacted a bit (which is probably not in his character too, considering he’s studied each and every JLA member with contingency plans.) to the lightning bouncing off everything during flash time.
In the show, he’s generating it in his body, Mainly his body and lightning isn’t bouncing everywhere. I feel like that is much better than in the movie.

Yep. Thawne's negative speed force leeches off of Barry's Normal one, so that means that every speed boost and upgrade Barry gets is immediately mirrored in Thawne. When the speed force brought Thawne back, I theorize that it put a block on Barry and thawne's speed connection, meaning that she made it so Barry got that latest speed boost but Thawne can't leech off of it anymore. Barry gets faster and Thawne can't copy Barry's speed now. So if he can't cheat his way to being Barry's equal, and is now surpassed by Barry, then that means thawne's whole gimmick is ruined and he isn't the fastest anymore, which makes him so mad that he causes the crossover just to be the fastest again. Like he said about getting faster here in this video: "I will Flash, mark my words.... I will"

Well this thought just flew in my mind for a moment: the main difference between him and Thawne is that although Vegeta has Goku as his rival and Goku always proves superior at some point, Vegeta WORKS HARD to get stronger and eventually surpass Goku by his own efforts. He has pride and that doesn't allow him to take the easy way out and cheat to take Goku's strength. Thawne on the other hand shows no effort in becoming faster, but instead cheats by getting Barry to lose his speed and strength just so Thawne can technically be the one on top. What do you think in your opinion?🤔

@@obi501 it is but not in this case. In the comics barry gets help from slower speedsters all the time. Did you not see how reverse flash kept getting tossed by godspeed. Godspeed was faster than both of them but its still two of the fastest speedster fighting him. Barry probably saw that he was faster than thawne when he was fighting godspeed with him.
I think Barry was the fastest all along, but didnt realise it until now.
They could have ended the series with this episode and it would have been great
