  • Hello guys! Having the engine operating at service temperature is crucial to the engine's useful life. To avoid premature wear and to avoid excessive fuel consumption. It is also crucial in engines that have DPF or FAP.
This video shows how to replace these thermostats on Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia and even Saab and Opel engines. More specifically in 16v and 20v diesel engines

    I have an idea.

Excellent call to take extra measures when changing the coolant type. From my experience, I have once mixed types of coolant and the result was a chemical reaction creating a gelatin, that is really unwelcome. It as quite time (and water) consuming to flush the system to get rid of all the gelatin.

Great Job! For anyone who tries this on the 8V version good luck! It's hell to do this without messing anything up. I was so careful but because of limited access I managed to break off the plastic from my brand new spare part which was around 70€! I had to buy a new one and finally got it done.

    Hi Bruno,

  • @marvinv6760

Thanks for this tutorial. Is it possibile to have heating and temperature locking issues due to leakings or EGR excluded?

  • @claudedejean7262

Hi, Bruno do you know why my ac on my alfa 164 keep blowing hot air when I turn it on.I replaced compressor, expansion valve, receiver drier

  • @EraseTime

Hey there, my temperature the other day went down immediately after breaking. Normal exercise temperature for my 147 is 90°, but at some point during the night when i was coming back home, if i slow down the car with the break pedal the temperature went down of one notch? What can be? My alfa is brand new 30.000 km
