I got the needed stamp on the 2 weather races and just need to keep attempting Willow Springs. I have remained an Automatic driver this whole time. I think it is about time I learn manual transmission. I'm sure that plus going for the gold on the circuit experience and I will be able to get gold on Willow Springs Neo Classic. I subscribed!

I couldn't afford the engine for the r32 and did not have it but i had an old enough NSX and it's dedicated engine for swap so went with that, little upgrade here and there for about 130k-ish and it worked like a charm, despite the nsx feeling quite sensitive job is done and it's all i asked for. I took this exact car (outside of a few personal preferences) to the $450k, 15 lap 800pp race at Sardegna with 6 power mix and medium tires- and smoked the AI- even got a surprise clean race bonus $725k - love this car and tune. Had to wait to get to level 50 (just started end of may- I'm hooked- killer little rig too) but even with stock engine it was fun. Thank you Greddy! You're the greatest. Greddy the Great!

Got the win with this car and set up at willows spring. I didn’t have the engine to do a swap and I’m not at level 50 yet. But with this set up, gas leaned to 5, pit at the 5th lap, one mistake and went off the road, nos at the straight away, I was able to place first place easily. You’ll be the first one to pit but you’ll catch back up when they pit. You just got to stay focus.

I had done two races okay with the GT-R, but was struggling with Willow Springs. Followed your settings (without the special engine) to take the car 780 PP, and did it at the first attempt with your settings. Strategy counts. Did 4 laps on softs and fuel mapping to max economy (just ekes out 4 laps, sipping nitrous). Swapped to mediums at pit end of L4, went another 4 laps, pitted just for 2 laps of fuel in P3, exited pit a few seconds behind P1 & P2 and took them on last lap for the win. Thank you!!!!! 😊
@@geauxgreddyThe GT-R has the go and the handling, but even on most economic fuel mapping, 2 stops is required. Just need to work around it. Possibly playing with the ECU (reduce engine power) might work to get fuel consumption to 5 laps (and thus one stop)
@@Gonefishin27 Shift early all the gears! If you shift before the red zone, you can easyly squeeze to 5 laps. I've learnt this just yesterday and it changed the game for me completely. Anyways I couldn't complete the american track with the GTR, because of the insane tyrewear and still need to buy the Jaguar legendary car to complete the menu.
I remember when that car came out. Four-wheel-drive and a “ big turbo”. Everyone Mitsubishi guy we’re all about it. I am a Toyota fan boy, so I was always a supra fan.
Got it with a combination of cars acura and supra. I changed the difficult setting from hard to easy. I got third place for the race in America. For the others I got first place. I also shifted fuel settings to 6 i.e. economy. One pit stop per race. Well done!
First when I saw your video I was a little bit disappointed about my decision, because I have just installed the Nissan race engine in a r33 a day ago. I thought, it is a beautiful car but I won't use it either way because I've already have the nismo r33 in my garage. I thought I messed it up, now I can't do the neo classic race... but than I checked, and the r33 meets also the criteria, so I've started to tune it after your advices and it has turned to a monster thank to you.😊 I've easily won the red bull circuit w/o pitting and I've won suzuka with pitting after the second lap, changing to intermediate. I've been struggling for weeks to beat these racee with the gt500 and could never get first. I was on collector level 48 so I had to buy cars to get to lvl 50 and fortunately I already had an engine I got from a roulette wheel. This build is awesome! The car is so fast it's not really much of a challenge, thanks.
For those who are new use the same car and setup with stock engine make it lean on 6 always drive on 6 you’ll end up first or second depends on your skills with front hard tires and soft rear ones use intermediate on red bull map when you refuel
Oh and for the willow race just put your AI settings to the easiest mode and you’ll finish first with 30+ seconds gap of the second . It’s not being lazy but if you can’t find or own a legendary car you have to do it this way and thank you @geauxgreddy for the tune bro

You cant beat Big Willow with a tuned street car, anyway. Unless you turn down the difficulty. You need the Escuda or a detuned GR1 car. ruclips.net/video/vUadYpz9RKI/видео.htmlsi=3m9tnV68qEOlsUEg
Only way to win Willow with that car is to drop the difficulty level in the settings menu. Otherwise you'll need at least the Gr2 F1 McLaren or the Gr2 Merc or a Gr1, all Legend cars.
This setup is also good for 3rd place at Fuji Speedway, but not so hot for Willow Springs. It toasts the rear tyres way too fast even the racing hards.
Suzuki v6 escudo pikes peak special '98 added legendary to the store today. Slower than the Nissan, but you can't do it on just one tank of fuel - you'll run out on the last lap. After the turns, in the middle of the 2nd sector, set fuel level 3, after crossing the starting line for the turns, set fuel level 6. on lap 7 pit stop with 60% fuel and full attack. stock car setup. ESP - level 3, brake balance 1 level for the rear.
@@geauxgreddy I saw that in the second part of the video... 😅🤣. My bad... My other suggestion would be... See if you can leave the turbos and injectors as close to stock as possible? I don't know if that would leave the car as powerfully competitive, but if you can put up consistently quicker lap times, you should be able to hit your target by say late lap 8, early lap 9? And theoretically have a put window of (maybe) lap 6-7? As Dom Toretto says "it don't matter if it's an inch or a mile... Winning's winning" 🤣 Just a theory really as I haven't played GT since GT4 and don't fully understand how realistic the physics of the game actually are.... 😬

I use this car for pretty much anything that says "Japan" or "turbo". I plonked a medium turbo, full suspension, race brakes, no tuning, all default settings, and it pretty much destroys everything. Gonna have to tune it properly now I reckon, as it is a bit squirrelly as is.

I tried going this in the GT500, D.solis was in the Pikes Peak and was DECIMATING me by the time I exited the pits he was over a minute ahead of me and still pulling away
Any of the LeMans Group C cars (Group 1) with Racing Mediums and down tuned HP can win pretty easily with a no stop. So can the Group 2 cars (Mercedes and McLaren). Outside of the Escuda, the others have little to no chance. The problem for road cars and Gr3 cars is downforce, just cant hold the speed in T1 and the last turn. Then they obliterate their tires as well.
I am using the gt7 Skyline Super Silhouette - I didn't come 1st but I feel I can do it, although the PP doesn't reach 800. What is ruining it for me is the weather change. On my first attempt I thought I had it but then it started raining on lap 4 - I already passed the pitstop so non wet tyres made me lose. Then I tried again and went into the pitstop before the rain came - it never did. Real-time weather changes doesn't always happen? I tried again and it wasn't raining, went into the pit stop soft racing tyres - by the time I came out of the pitstop it was raining lol Oh ffs. It's a long race, so it's getting annoying. I never actually used the weather map, don't know how to read it but I'm guessing it will show when it's going to rain? I will try this setup in the video, OR I might just buy the Escudo Pikes Peak (the infamous Gran Turismo car) and have fun with that. I once had a Playstation magazine with a tuning setup for the Escudo but no longer have it and can't remember which mag it was. Thanks in advance. EDIT: Real-time weather changes don't always happen? - I guess it wouldn't be real-time weather if it rained every time at the exact same moment. I realised how stupid my comment is lol
Escuda really doesnt need a tune. Just get it to fit the pp level and send it. Its the best car for the race. I like the AWD cars in the rain here, less chance of spinning out and more traction on acceleration. Good luck!!
.Thx it worked for me on Fuji. Don't have most legend cars. Got Nissan GT 500 didn't work. I had this car and engine swap so gave a whirl great gas mileage on RH tires pitted lap 8.was in first by 6 seconds after pit 10th place finished 1st by 48 seconds over a 787 B. Only thing have different wing so front adjustment only max at 100 not 200 rear maxed out at 320
Did you swap in the R92 CP engine? I just did it the other day testing Fuji and it was fine. Also, short shift...engine has insane torque. High rpm eats fuel.

The MP4 F1 car is in the Legends dealership and wins this easy on a no stop with RH. You do have to add balast and tune the wing to fit it in the 800 pp but it pulls the W. Short shift to save a little fuel to make it 10 laps.

Ok so. I’ve made the setup, but when I go over certain speeds, the tires get locked when I’m turning and it makes me automatically turn, how do I stop that?
@@geauxgreddy controller, it’s about 300kmh when it starts to do that. Below that. It’s nice and I love the feel of the car. But yea after that point when it starts to it’s alittle annoying 🤣
@@geauxgreddy nope. Don’t have stick drift, when I turn it would lock the turn even when I stopped turning, and it would make me keep turning even after I try counter steer. Sometimes I can make it stop but sometimes it’ll keep turning. I’m pretty sure the wheel is getting stuck in the fenders or something. Even after raising the front tho up to 105 it still does it 💀 I like the setup so I’m still gonna use it. Is this setup specific for 1 track? Cuz I used it on others aswell and had this issue on them. nurburgring was one of the tracks I used it on.

Hello, Willow Springs track - I used Nissan and won :D front/rear torque distribution 50/50, Fuel Map 4-3, Tires front hard, rear medium. Change the difficulty from Normal/Hard to Easy. Done ;)
You have to decrease the difficulty to beat the American map (Big Willow) with this car. I tried everything. The Group1 Nissan R92 CP on medium tires makes short work of the AI with a no stop.
Idk if its a bug, but in my case I CAN’T that Race on Hard. I got lap times of 1.22-1.23 and NO PIT. But Somehow Miyamozo doesn‘t pit too. In my races there isn‘t Even rain lol.
Is this race impossible to do with a car thats not engine swapped or a legend car im just trying to finish this damn menu but im collector level 41 so i cant engine swap
Pretty much impossible. I have every car in almost every color and have spent 10s of millions in credits trying to find something out of the used car lot. Either they are too slow or get too bad of fuel mileage and/or their tire wear stinks. All the Legend Gr1 and Gr2 cars can pull off the W, and just a few swapped cars can do it. Big Willow is nearly impossible in anything other than the Escuda, GR1 and GR2 Legends (on difficult level).
The setup works great at easy difficulty on this track, but is useless at the american track. There the hard tyres are gone for 4 laps and the car is not powerful enough to stand 2 pit stops compared to 0 for the AI. Finally I needed to buy the Jaguar XJR-9 for 3 mil and completed the challenges with 40-50 second advance and no pit-stops.
Correct, there is not a good street car for Big Willow and the hardest difficulty. I tried nearly every street car and every engine swap and many tunes. Its very hard on the tires and fuel as you mentioned.
@@geauxgreddy ok I managed to finish 1st. With GTR 500, hard tires, fuel consumption 6, level normal. AI time would be 12:24 minutes, if you do your laps at 1:14 minutes you will finish first mostly. The last turn I was almost passed by AI but I turn my carn into his and it went out the track. Front left tire at lap 10 is completely wore, and you need to be cautios because the 2nd would pass you easily. It's possible to do it without a box stop, hard tires, level normal and fuel consumption on 6.
Has anyone beaten the Willow Springs track-Neoclassic challenge race with this tune??? This car/tune is a beast. Got gold in the other two Neoclassic races without even trying. But Willow Springs is giving me major problems.
Theyve had to drop the difficulty level to get the W at Willow. Tire wear is killer in that race. When GTWS ends this week I may play around with it and see if I can get something put together specifically for that track.
Yo buddy how come you can do an engine swap? GT has not yet allowed me at that level but I am at that neo classic challenge - just waiting for a car to come up that I can compete with.
You need to buy cars, so do the track guides and get your licenses, complete the challenges to earn credits and buy more cars. Also get cars as rewards which increases your collector level.
This was crazy i won the willow and the other one but fuji i always end up 9th (btw my lvl is bellow 50 soooooo no engine swap and no ultimate parts 😢)
I tried your setup on my 97’ r33 GTR only one I’m having trouble on is willow springs I came in first on other two can I use this same setup or do I have to change?
Ya, I tried all of a few hundred different setups and couldn't get it to work with the street cars. 🫤 Escuda or a GR1 is your safest bet to beat Willow. 👍
I know you need to be 50 for engine swaps. And the Nissan 400R maybe could pull it off but needs ultimate parts. You may be stuck with Legends cars until then.
That's exactly why I swapped the engine. The fuel use. Start with softs, you need rain at about the half way point. If you don't get rain, restart. You need rain to win without the engine swap.

Only way to win Willow with that car is to drop the difficulty level in the settings menu. Otherwise you'll need at least the Gr2 F1 McLaren or the Gr2 Merc or a Gr1, all Legend cars.
I used the 91 GTO with the engine swap, and had the lead from lap 4 on... the GTO is a terrific car.
That swap is pretty insane. Well done 💪😎

First i tried it with an ferrari f40. No chance. Than i got here. And man.... this car is just awesome

This setup is also good for 3rd place at Fuji Speedway, but not so hot for Willow Springs. It toasts the rear tyres way too fast even the racing hards.

Suzuki v6 escudo pikes peak special '98 added legendary to the store today. Slower than the Nissan, but you can't do it on just one tank of fuel - you'll run out on the last lap. After the turns, in the middle of the 2nd sector, set fuel level 3, after crossing the starting line for the turns, set fuel level 6. on lap 7 pit stop with 60% fuel and full attack. stock car setup. ESP - level 3, brake balance 1 level for the rear.
I will find some time, I will try to "slow down" the Nissan so that I can win the race with it, I will follow the Escudo setup ;)
Escuda is the way to go for sure. Little rocket ship. 😎 And so quick in the corners. My other video on how to win all 3, I use the Escuda. 👍

I'd almost go as far to say you could have left the RB26 in the car and still pulled around the same power with a bit of tuning.
You may, the problem I run into with tuned road car engines is fuel usage. For whatever reason, they are very thirsty.

My other suggestion would be... See if you can leave the turbos and injectors as close to stock as possible? I don't know if that would leave the car as powerfully competitive, but if you can put up consistently quicker lap times, you should be able to hit your target by say late lap 8, early lap 9? And theoretically have a put window of (maybe) lap 6-7? As Dom Toretto says "it don't matter if it's an inch or a mile... Winning's winning" 🤣 Just a theory really as I haven't played GT since GT4 and don't fully understand how realistic the physics of the game actually are.... 😬

You can filter on the upper left by year or country or manufacturer, upper right menu you can sort by year or other selections. All in the garage.

Yup, quite a few of the tunes street cars are just too thirsty.
I use this car for pretty much anything that says "Japan" or "turbo". I plonked a medium turbo, full suspension, race brakes, no tuning, all default settings, and it pretty much destroys everything. Gonna have to tune it properly now I reckon, as it is a bit squirrelly as is.

I tried going this in the GT500, D.solis was in the Pikes Peak and was DECIMATING me by the time I exited the pits he was over a minute ahead of me and still pulling away
Any of the LeMans Group C cars (Group 1) with Racing Mediums and down tuned HP can win pretty easily with a no stop. So can the Group 2 cars (Mercedes and McLaren). Outside of the Escuda, the others have little to no chance. The problem for road cars and Gr3 cars is downforce, just cant hold the speed in T1 and the last turn. Then they obliterate their tires as well.
I am using the gt7 Skyline Super Silhouette - I didn't come 1st but I feel I can do it, although the PP doesn't reach 800. What is ruining it for me is the weather change. On my first attempt I thought I had it but then it started raining on lap 4 - I already passed the pitstop so non wet tyres made me lose. Then I tried again and went into the pitstop before the rain came - it never did. Real-time weather changes doesn't always happen? I tried again and it wasn't raining, went into the pit stop soft racing tyres - by the time I came out of the pitstop it was raining lol Oh ffs. It's a long race, so it's getting annoying. I never actually used the weather map, don't know how to read it but I'm guessing it will show when it's going to rain? I will try this setup in the video, OR I might just buy the Escudo Pikes Peak (the infamous Gran Turismo car) and have fun with that. I once had a Playstation magazine with a tuning setup for the Escudo but no longer have it and can't remember which mag it was. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Real-time weather changes don't always happen? - I guess it wouldn't be real-time weather if it rained every time at the exact same moment. I realised how stupid my comment is lol
Escuda really doesnt need a tune. Just get it to fit the pp level and send it. Its the best car for the race. I like the AWD cars in the rain here, less chance of spinning out and more traction on acceleration. Good luck!!

.Thx it worked for me on Fuji. Don't have most legend cars. Got Nissan GT 500 didn't work. I had this car and engine swap so gave a whirl great gas mileage on RH tires pitted lap 8.was in first by 6 seconds after pit 10th place finished 1st by 48 seconds over a 787 B. Only thing have different wing so front adjustment only max at 100 not 200 rear maxed out at 320

Did you swap in the R92 CP engine? I just did it the other day testing Fuji and it was fine. Also, short shift...engine has insane torque. High rpm eats fuel.

The MP4 F1 car is in the Legends dealership and wins this easy on a no stop with RH. You do have to add balast and tune the wing to fit it in the 800 pp but it pulls the W. Short shift to save a little fuel to make it 10 laps.

It sucks that I've spent over 25 mil credits on cars and still can't beat that track. It's super crazy, you have to drive like a mad man to win. Ok so. I’ve made the setup, but when I go over certain speeds, the tires get locked when I’m turning and it makes me automatically turn, how do I stop that?
That is odd. Never heard of this. Are you on a wheel and if so have you updated the firmware? I am a bit confused as to why on earth it would do that.
@@geauxgreddy controller, it’s about 300kmh when it starts to do that. Below that. It’s nice and I love the feel of the car. But yea after that point when it starts to it’s alittle annoying 🤣
Possibly controller drift? I used the controller and it didnt happen to me 🤔
@@geauxgreddy nope. Don’t have stick drift, when I turn it would lock the turn even when I stopped turning, and it would make me keep turning even after I try counter steer. Sometimes I can make it stop but sometimes it’ll keep turning. I’m pretty sure the wheel is getting stuck in the fenders or something. Even after raising the front tho up to 105 it still does it 💀 I like the setup so I’m still gonna use it. Is this setup specific for 1 track? Cuz I used it on others aswell and had this issue on them. nurburgring was one of the tracks I used it on.

Hello, Willow Springs track - I used Nissan and won :D front/rear torque distribution 50/50, Fuel Map 4-3, Tires front hard, rear medium. Change the difficulty from Normal/Hard to Easy. Done ;)

You have to decrease the difficulty to beat the American map (Big Willow) with this car. I tried everything. The Group1 Nissan R92 CP on medium tires makes short work of the AI with a no stop.
I was able to do it with the "Silhouette" on soft tires. Of note By rain tires first.

Is this race impossible to do with a car thats not engine swapped or a legend car im just trying to finish this damn menu but im collector level 41 so i cant engine swap
Pretty much impossible. I have every car in almost every color and have spent 10s of millions in credits trying to find something out of the used car lot. Either they are too slow or get too bad of fuel mileage and/or their tire wear stinks. All the Legend Gr1 and Gr2 cars can pull off the W, and just a few swapped cars can do it. Big Willow is nearly impossible in anything other than the Escuda, GR1 and GR2 Legends (on difficult level).

The setup works great at easy difficulty on this track, but is useless at the american track. There the hard tyres are gone for 4 laps and the car is not powerful enough to stand 2 pit stops compared to 0 for the AI. Finally I needed to buy the Jaguar XJR-9 for 3 mil and completed the challenges with 40-50 second advance and no pit-stops.
Correct, there is not a good street car for Big Willow and the hardest difficulty. I tried nearly every street car and every engine swap and many tunes. Its very hard on the tires and fuel as you mentioned.
problem with this challenge is Big Willow only... other tracks are easy because of the weather box.
Big Willow isnt too bad when you have an old Gr1 car to use. If not, it is pretty dang tough.
@@geauxgreddy ok I managed to finish 1st. With GTR 500, hard tires, fuel consumption 6, level normal. AI time would be 12:24 minutes, if you do your laps at 1:14 minutes you will finish first mostly. The last turn I was almost passed by AI but I turn my carn into his and it went out the track. Front left tire at lap 10 is completely wore, and you need to be cautios because the 2nd would pass you easily. It's possible to do it without a box stop, hard tires, level normal and fuel consumption on 6.

You have to be level 50 to engine swap. You can fully tune the car and win, but you'll need rain. And It ain't easy.
Has anyone beaten the Willow Springs track-Neoclassic challenge race with this tune??? This car/tune is a beast. Got gold in the other two Neoclassic races without even trying. But Willow Springs is giving me major problems.
Theyve had to drop the difficulty level to get the W at Willow. Tire wear is killer in that race. When GTWS ends this week I may play around with it and see if I can get something put together specifically for that track.

You need to buy cars, so do the track guides and get your licenses, complete the challenges to earn credits and buy more cars. Also get cars as rewards which increases your collector level.

This setup doesnt work well at Willow. Needs more of a loose rear to rotate. Tire wear is a problem as well. Youll need to play around with it.

Ya, I tried all of a few hundred different setups and couldn't get it to work with the street cars. 🫤 Escuda or a GR1 is your safest bet to beat Willow. 👍

I know you need to be 50 for engine swaps. And the Nissan 400R maybe could pull it off but needs ultimate parts. You may be stuck with Legends cars until then.

That's exactly why I swapped the engine. The fuel use.
Start with softs, you need rain at about the half way point. If you don't get rain, restart. You need rain to win without the engine swap.
