McAdenville Christmas Lights 2023/Christmas Town USA 4K (DJI Mavic Air 2S Drone Footage) Walkthrough

The McAdenville Lights is a very popular Christmas Tradition in Gaston County, North Carolina that dates back into the 1950's. Many visitors across the State and other States visit McAdenville every December to see the massive beautiful display of Christmas Lights! Less than 30 minutes from uptown Charlotte.
In 1956, the McAdenville Men's Club came up with idea of using lights to decorate a few trees around the McAdenville Community Center. After the town officials and the President of Pharr Yarns approved, nine trees were decorated the first year. Mrs. Pharr suggested the use of red, white, and green lights which are the traditional colors of Christmas. Later Mrs. Pharr suggested lights to be placed on the trees around the lake with a focus of the manger scene becoming the focal point of Christmas. The reaction to these efforts was so favorable that McAdenville increased decorating more trees. By 2004 more than 375 trees were decorated to give a warm glow of Christmas.
Today the tradition continues with the generosity of Mr. J.M. Carstarphen, CEO of Pharr Yarns and the residents of McAdenville. It's amazing that you can still visit something this grand and be free? If you walk please try to support the businesses and the town who provides this piece of Christmas for whoever wishes to come.
Like mentioned before , McAdenville has more than 375 trees decorated ranging from 6 feet to more than 90 feet in height. To give you an idea on how many lights are glowing when you ride through - check this out. There are as few as 500 lights on the small trees while more than 5,000 lights on some of the largest trees. All trees are live - no fakes.
McAdenville provides more than 200 wreaths adorn lampposts, a 9 foot Santa and Reindeer, Spot and Flood Lights, and so much more while chimes ring out Christmas Music from the 80 foot steeple of the McAdenville Baptist Church.
