DE LA SOUL MUSIC WAS ALWAYS EASY TO DANCE TO AND THEIR MUSIC IS VERY RELATABLE TO THE PEOPLE BUT I MUST ADMIT MOST PEOPLE OF CERTAIN DEMOGRAPHICS WASNT REALLY SURE OF WHAT MESSAGE DE LA SOUL WAS EXACTLY CONVEYING WHEN THEY FIRST CAME OUT OPPOSED TO THEIR LATER PROJECTS BUT THE MUSIC WAS GOOD AND EASY ON THE EAR 👂 LOBE DEFINITELY LIFE CHANGING TREND SETTING MUSIC 🎼 BUT DEEP AND IF YOU WANT TO REALLY DIG INTO THE LYRICS TO GET THE FULL JIST OF WHAT THEY WERE SAYING YOU WOULD SEE THAT THAT THEY USED A STYLE THAT SOMETIMES WOULD CATER TO SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES SO YOU HAD TO HAVE A WISE EAR OF UNDERSTANDING TO GET THEIR MESSAGES AND ONCE YOU GOT IT MADE THE LISTENING PLEASURE A BETTER TREASURE R.I.P. TRUGOY THE DOVE 🕊️ PLUG 🔌 ONE ☝🏿 HEAVEN BOUND NOW ☮️PEACE🙏
What happened ?? What happened to tha pimps ?? What happened to tha guns ?? What happened to tha curse words? (crocker) That's what rap music is all about , right ??
De la soul made it very popular for people to be just who they were instead of being who they weren’t and being as thou they were sooo in tuned with being who they were with no extra added bullshit they could detect right away when someone came along and wasn’t they were the type of group who could tell if you were trying to be something that you wasn’t they were many things on many levels AKA architects of detecting bullshit😆and they would often rap about it also but nevertheless they would continue on being who they are that’s what I liked most about them they wasn’t afraid to be themselves 🙏
Pass the Ps is my jam. Salute to the hardcore gentleman
