I'll teach you to troubleshoot your pepper plants and show you how to fix them. Growing peppers can be challenging if you don't know what to look for. My peppers look terrible. I didn't know that I was watering them too much until I saw this, thanks

      Hi Elle. You're welcome and good luck getting them back on track! Be sure to let them dry out if they're waterlogged before you water them again.

    I hope you had a great trip! We have black soap here but I wonder if it's the same kind. 🤔 I've never used it in the garden. Now I'm super curious! Thanks for sharing!

      Hi Andrea. I never realized it was an enigma in the US until I started getting questions when I did an aphid video once. The black soap (aka savon noir) is made from vegetable oils (originally olive but they cheat and use others like corn oil, flax oil, etc.) and potash. I'm not sure about the ratios of potash, but the soap works wonder on bugs without killing the plants. 'd love to hear if that's what you have by chance!

      @@NowGardening I'll go grab a bar and see what the ingredients are! It's definitely touted as an all natural soap and I usually see it at specialty stores for hair styling and stuff. The only reason I remember it is because it was next to the natural container of Shea butter. Lol

    Great vid Val...and the autolink to next level was useful to, phosphorus and bone meal to deter nitrogen extraction to slow plant growth for more peppers I believe...🤔😁...I put my last remaining tomato plant on the shed roof as Berty the slug guard couldn't resist nibbling the others,I think Cecil put him up to it!...thanks Val

      Oh no, Matt. Last as in the only remaining survivor? I wish I could give you some of mine. I’m having to make space to fit them all in here.

    My new pepper plants are drooping and wilting leaves after transplanting to larger pots! I water them every day and keep them in sun and give shade as well! Any ideas why?

    • @NowGardening
      @NowGardening  Месяц назад +1

      Most plants don't need watering daily. In fact, overwatering is a common cause of plants dying. Let the plants dry out a little before watering again to give their roots time to grow. If this doesn't solve your problem, it could be the new soil you used isn't good for peppers. I just got a batch of bad soil that almost destroyed my tomato seedlings. I changed the soil and they underwent a miraculous recovery.

    Aren’t clover mites beneficial and predatory towards spider mites?

    My peppers have a lot of bugs in the soil not on the leaves i need help all 3 of them have this

    • @NowGardening
      @NowGardening  10 дней назад

      If you can, I would recommend changing the soil. If you can’t, then you’ll need to determine what insects you have in order to treat them. I got flee beetles in garden bed at the end of last summer. No organic pesticide worked, so I finally had to abandon that bed and let winter kill off the insects for me.

      @NowGardening Yeah I have no clue what they are tiny little orange looking things an tiny little white bugs. Nothing its on the leaves just the soil. An I think I even found some larve or little worm looking things. I just tossed the soild got more baked it to kill anything off fingers crossed it doesn't happen again
