A very valuable tutorial on the subject of leaf curling, it will help many amateur n hobby gardeners like myself. I panic when I see disease in my plants, and this can be very discouraging. Thank you very much Sir, for making this video .
I have been trying to figure out why my terrace garden Capsicum and Chilli plants are developing leaf curl and growth is stopping. Though there is lot of info on the web about the issue but most of it explains in bits and pieces. And sometimes it is confusing. Your video is well structured , covers the topic completely including the multiple causes and provides the various solution options. Thanks for the same.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I always try explain things in a vivid and complete way so that the viewers will get benefitted. Thanks again for the appreciation!
Great information...my sweet pepper plants are victims of leaf curling...especially towards the end of July. I treat for white flies and mites with Pegasus and Nissorun and I like the neem option. Although some leaves remain curled, the plants look better with increased blossoming and fruiting. Those pests don't give up without a strong fight! Great video: explanations were clear and supported well by the samples.
Your recommendation is very clear and helpful for many gardeners. Particularly the brand names for the different types of diseases which many find difficult to get. Thanks.🙏
Excellent video! Very well explained. Precise and concise. In most of the videos of this kind, there is too much of unwanted talking! In this case, every word spoken was informative! Thank you!
Actually bigger trees like mangoes need pruning at some point of their lifespan in order to produce more new healthy branches and those branches are capable of bearing larger fruits. Along with that, a root pruning is also necessary even for bigger trees, but for that one must have proper knowledge.
Its true that even if you put fertilizer on chili pepper it doesnt grow . I .notice that theres some white aphids stuck on the branches and back of the leaves. Its good that you explained the causes of curling leaves. Thank you so much.
You covered all the important points , hats off to you👏 It was nice that you mentioned all possible reasons, because identification is very important in the field but could get very confusing without proper knowledge
Sir your voice is perfect 👍🏻 I could understand every words. Please do make on the effect of spraying salt solution as Herbicides by local farmers. May be it reduce the yield and local farmers loss their labour and energy.
Oh God !!! It's very simple. No need to speak as much as......just let the 3 table spoon of rice flour, one tea spoon of soya beans powder. Mix it with 100 ml water. Let it ferment 12 hrs. The day after add 1 litre water .filter this mix spray on the affected plants. It's my own treatment.
thank you for this. This has been the most informative video that I have seen on the issue of leaf curling. My pepper plants are all seedlings and they don't have branches yet. their top leaves are affected by leaf curl. I did the chemicql spray but so far no new non diseased leaves are growing. should I throw all these seedlings away and grow a new batch instead? or will pruning the curled upper leaves help?
Thanks a lot for your comment! Actually you can try pruning those leaves, but as they are at seedling stage, they might take much longer time to recover from it.
This is a similar problem I found on pepper plants. the plants infected with such disease are remain green but stunted growth massively curled. infection starts from the tip of a plant and progresses to young and mature leaves.
If it starts with young leaves and gradually spreads, then it's thrips and mites attack, mostly thrips. Apply the pesticides mentioned in this video, you'll definitely get good results!
Thank you sir for the informative video. I am visiting your channel for the first time. I am experiencing the problem you had mentioned, in our garden. Chilly plants. . I will try to treat them . Lots are flowers blossom but they don't mature into chillies they wither and fall. What to do.🤔🙏🙏🙏 🤔
Yes, this could be a problem due to pest attacks, also overwatering and lack of sunlight might lead to the same kind of problem you mentioned. Check for those. Another thing you can try is to use synthetic auxin hormon or PGR (like Planofix from Bayer), just spray the plant with it - 2-3 drops per lit (not more than that, be very careful about its dosing) when the fruits are just forming or just before the flowering, it will prevent prematured fruit drops.
Very good question! There are some pesticides and fungicide which you can use together, check their compatibility before that. On the other hand, there are some fungicide like copper hydrochloride (e.g. Tata Blitox) which cannot be used with any other fungicide or pesticides. So, my suggestion would be to use them separately, at least a gap of 3 days.
Thank you so much for your clear explanation, so I have the same problem chilly leaves curling towards down , so can I spray OBERON once in 15 days, because there are some small coconut trees, so under the coconut trees leaves some whity files are there..

Thank you for making this video. Most beginner edible plant are discourage by this - in my experience most of this is cause by lack of calcium for me and the pest from hell, Spider mites same as you
