    I have been trying to figure out why my terrace garden Capsicum and Chilli plants are developing leaf curl and growth is stopping. Though there is lot of info on the web about the issue but most of it explains in bits and pieces.And sometimes it is confusing. Your video is well structured , covers the topic completely including the multiple causes and provides the various solution options. Thanks for the same.

    Great information...my sweet pepper plants are victims of leaf curling...especially towards the end of July. I treat for white flies and mites with Pegasus and Nissorun and I like the neem option. Although some leaves remain curled, the plants look better with increased blossoming and fruiting. Those pests don't give up without a strong fight!
    Great video: explanations were clear and supported well by the samples.

    • @GrowNMore
      @GrowNMore  3 года назад +2

      Actually bigger trees like mangoes need pruning at some point of their lifespan in order to produce more new healthy branches and those branches are capable of bearing larger fruits. Along with that, a root pruning is also necessary even for bigger trees, but for that one must have proper knowledge.

My pepper plants are all seedlings and they don't have branches yet. their top leaves are affected by leaf curl. • @GrowNMore

    This is a similar problem I found on pepper plants. the plants infected with such disease are remain green but stunted growth massively curled. infection starts from the tip of a plant and progresses to young and mature leaves.

    • @GrowNMore
      @GrowNMore  9 месяцев назад

      If it starts with young leaves and gradually spreads, then it's thrips and mites attack, mostly thrips. Apply the pesticides mentioned in this video, you'll definitely get good results!

    • @GrowNMore
      @GrowNMore  3 года назад

      Yes, this could be a problem due to pest attacks, also overwatering and lack of sunlight might lead to the same kind of problem you mentioned. Check for those. Another thing you can try is to use synthetic auxin hormon or PGR (like Planofix from Bayer), just spray the plant with it - 2-3 drops per lit (not more than that, be very careful about its dosing) when the fruits are just forming or just before the flowering, it will prevent prematured fruit drops.

    • @GrowNMore
      @GrowNMore  3 года назад

      Very good question! There are some pesticides and fungicide which you can use together, check their compatibility before that. On the other hand, there are some fungicide like copper hydrochloride (e.g. Tata Blitox) which cannot be used with any other fungicide or pesticides. So, my suggestion would be to use them separately, at least a gap of 3 days.

    You have said that neem oil may not be able to control the pests in some cases. What will be the effect if we increase the dosage of neem oil ? The manufacturer of neem oil has prescribed a dosage of 5 ml per litre of water. I used to apply 15 ml per litre of water to control pests in Tulsi plants (Holy basil). Will this heavy dosage cause any harm to the plants ? This heavy dosage is able to control the pests ; but my question is whether this will poison the plants themselves and kill the plants after some time ? Your explanations in the video are superb and very professional. I suppose that you are a professional in the field of agriculture. Thank you for the wonderful video and correct explanations.

      Thank you for the nice comment! Actually too much neem oil can form an oily coating on the plant's leaves which can affect their respiration process. Also excessive use of neem oil can kill the useful bacteria and beneficial pathogens living inside the soil.

      @@GrowNMore Thank you sir for the information. Henceforth I shall reduce the dosage of neem oil to the prescribed level. I was under the wrong impression that organic pesticides will not do any harm, especially neem oil, because it is used as a medicine by humans also. Thank you.

    Have you tried pyrethrum 5ec, it is an emulsifiable concentrate prepared from the pyrethrum daisy - it's nature's own rapid-acting insecticide.

    • @GrowNMore

      Alika is effective for thrips, same as the imidichlropid, you should get something for the mites, any miticide will work.

      You can buy in any pesticides shop or online, just be sure it should be at least 1000 ppm in concentration. Yes you can grow two chilli plants in a single pot, but the container should be sufficiently large, at least 12 inch in diameter.
