Insufferable..... she doesn't get it does she. Her self entitled manipulative approach she has undoubtedly used most of her life, her refusal to accept accountability or consequences for her own actions, will not work here, certainly not with this Judge.
He is going out of his way to accommodate her. Even though I can feel his exasperation through the screen, as much patience as he is showing . Her "plan" to delay this trial by forcing out public defenders and one privately hired attorney one by one,has backfired and it's no one's fault or problem that she never went " pro se" before
She should have thought of how difficult or even possible to create a defense as an inmate being charged with 2nd degree murder. She abused her rights and these are the consequences.
      Period end of story.
The kicker is little to nothing is really going to matter once the evidence is produced at this trial.

SB agreed that she would make it work. After Cashman said that she spent more than 20 hours with SB, answered collect phone calls on her own dime, and Boone still had the audacity to walk out of their meetings and say that Cashman wasn’t being “nice” to her, I knew at that point she was beyond cooked because this is a new judge that would have surely read up on the case and would have clearly had the very last warning to SB at the forefront of his mind. And honestly they also probably ran out of Public Defenders in their area lol, but there is a very clear paper trail of all of SB’s warnings that she would end up representing herself, and I have to think this judge covered himself and sought out guidance from as high up as possible before making this well thought out decision. I’m actually surprised at how strict he is being in keeping to his rulings, but I’ve watched all the hearings and heard both judges clearly warn her… she called their bluff and he doubled down. Now that I understand the role of standby council as it was defined at this hearing, chances are based on her track record and previous 8 attorneys, including a privately hired attorney that was #1 of 8, it would end up as "irreconcilable differences" and "ethical issues". Just as the majority of her previous attorneys with the exception of a conflict of interest, all motioned to withdraw for those reasons. Why is this any different? Sarah Boone has an idea in her head of how she wants to be represented and a strategy she wants to use clearly this is either not lawful or it's unadvisable and that's why these attorneys have withdrawn. She may not be qualified. In fact she's not. But at the same time, she was unwilling to listen to her attorneys and the advice that they gave her, along with that she was abusive insulting, disrespectful, and arrogant This is what happens when you are an argumentative narcissist who refuses to accept accountability for their actions, actions by the way she has yet to show one ounce of remorse for. In fact, she's still playing games. She knew from the last hearing they were going to digitalize discovery along with a court issued laptop and said nothing at the hearing. She decides she doesn't want that she wants the hardcopies of discovery. The judge doesn't state the obvious why didn't she raise objections at the previous hearing when she knew that this was going to be the case. He remained calm and patient, and said he didn't have a problem with it, as long as the jail approves it, the same jail that shared this was the procedure. This judge has her number and knows exactly what and who he's dealing with.. I get a little upset when I hear experts say that the Judge's ruling she forfeited her right to a public defender thru her outrageous conduct is opening the door for appeal and I have to ask have they followed this case from the beginning. Do they know every nook and cranny of it like a lot of us do, do they know that she was warned a couple of times not only that she might not be afforded another public attorney if she kept up with the behavior, she was also warned against the dangers of representing herself, more then once. She ignored and kept it up because she never believed that anyone would call her bluff. This Judge has the law on his side and I'm very confident that he covered himself in that final order. More than that I'm confident any appeal board that looks at. This case, will agree. The only only criticism I had of the court, they should have stopped her at #3. As incompetent as she is in general, certainly as her own attorney it is far better for her to get up there and make a fool of herself and tell a jury with a straight face, she didn't mean to kill him, she fell asleep after walking up a flight of stairs just before taunting Jorge Torres as he begged for his life, telling him to F-off among other choice words.
For all of what she has put the court, and the family of the victim, not to mention the rights of the victim through, it will take about 15 minutes to convict her ass

The basis of the denial is that she forfeited her right to court appointed counsel through her actions. There is case law upholding situations somewhat similar to this which the judge cited, so he didn’t pull it out of a hat. The court of appeals could agree with him after reviewing the record or disagree, but just saying “I’m not qualified” wouldn’t be enough if the court of appeals agrees that her behavior was sufficient to warrant forfeiture. And remember that she called a few of her lawyers not qualified.

No, Sarah's inability to work with ANY lawyer trying to represent her is only going to backfire in any appeal filing. The lawyers would potentially be released from privilege and detail that she didn't wanna listen to the lawyers, she tried to get them to do things that they can't do, etc etc. That's why she hated her lawyers, it was that they wouldn't do what she wanted them to do. The lawyer will not go along with the client's wishes if it's self-sabotaging to their case. Look at Donald Trump and see what happens when lawyers do everything the client wants, it doesn't go well. Some of those lawyers are facing sanctions, disbarment, and criminal charges.

She’s must figure it out for herself. What did she think she would keep getting new attorneys? I think the judge gave her enough chances.
The judge made the right decision on not giving her another attorney. She would have probably fired them too? Delay again her trial.
I just think of Darrell Brooks if he could figure it out than she can too. Gets her out of her cell & learn a bit of lawyering. It actually sounds way better than rotting in a cell. Ha she will be doing that after her trial. She has NO defense!I can’t believe this man agreed to played “Hide-n-Seek” w/her. Why would a man get into any suitcase? This is the weirdest case ever.
She thinks she’s going to tire out the judge & make him feel sorry for her. Lol

  • @dalerimoller272

I really like the judge in her case. I think he’s doing the best he can to help her w/o giving legal advice, he’s not going to allow her to abuse another pro se lawyer, he’s given her a packet (from my understanding) that can give her an outline of how a trial works, how to present things etc. (I’m assuming things like in her motion where she asked for money for witnesses. He said you didn’t list the witnesses so he didn’t deny that motion necessary, but she has to list the names and why they are wanted as witnesses. So maybe it explains some things like that. Obviously I’m not in the legal field, so take my comments as a best guess as opposed to factual information. I’m more than happy for anyone who is educated in this to correct me!)
Also, I think the judge is doing his best by addressing her snarky comments like how he’s moving it from the 24th to the 26th when he doesn’t have 50 other cases so he can give more time and focus to her case specifically. He’s trying to cater to her in a reasonable way, shutting down her constant barrage of “this isn’t fair, everyone sucks but me, no one’s listening to me” nonsense.
I think it’s going to be very tedious. I have a hard time even watching family court cases where one person represents themselves and it’s only like an hour long. But Sarah is never going to be happy with any legal representation because no one is willing to let her run the show. She’s probably demanding things that you just can’t do, things that you wouldn’t be able to bring up in court and she doesn’t understand that there’s a method to how you present a case. But she just thinks the lawyers were being difficult and disrespectful to her, but she wouldn’t let them explain why her way wouldn’t work. She’ll find out though. She’s not going to be happy… as per usual.

The Judge simply can not give her another Court Appointed attorney OR Court Appointed standby counsel! We KNOW what she will do if he does! He is wise for making that decision! She claims that her “fans” would come up with “any amount of money” to “bond her out of jail!” So presumably, they should be able to do the same and hire her an attorney, which they or SHE still has the RIGHT to do! She has that right! She does NOT have the RIGHT to any more Court Appointed Counsel! She forfeited that right due to her own conduct! This Judge is on solid ground in my opinion.

Her problem is that she believes she has any chance of getting off easy for her crime. She's not willing to accept the reality that all of her past attorneys have laid out on the table, so she keeps searching for someone who will make her look good in court, but that's just not possible. I'm sure she's regretting tossing those attorneys now. She's clearly in way over her head.

She was smart enough to not fire them. She forced them to quit in an effort to delay the trial forever, in a belief that speedy trial applies when the defense causes the delays.
