There is a product you need. Its a black sand separator. Uses a spinning magnet to capture magnetics and gold trapped(micro floaters) fall away in one pile and magnetics in another.
On my 4 inch dredge there was a fitting on my pump for a garden hose and you must have a good tapered fitting to spray the water.seems like mine had more spray pressure
It may seem that way but it does put out high pressure. Regardless, its a great tool to utilize it on your dredge and thats a great tip you shared on your 4".
This isn't considered hydrolic mining. We are way below the high water mark and the actual bank. This area was a high bench is all that was tightly compacted. We used the blaster nozzle to break it apart. There is an active commercial hydrolic mine 20 miles from there. Only legal one in the US.
Hello Brother and Sister, next year my wife and I will embark on the same adventure you guys have, I please need to know where is the best place to go, also the name of the beach in Alaska you whent to, I thank you so much and bid you wellness and Godspeed :)
what lhappens when you check your tailings? Those dredges seem awfully short to capture all (or most) if the gold. I know! - make up the losses with volume. But still....
There is definitely loss in these dredges we are running. The Keene super 6" dredge is preferred with a longer sluice box and 2 other sluice boxes. However, this is about volume to maximize production although we did check our tailings. Overall the losses were negligible so we weren't stressed about our losses.
Great vid guys loving the setup it's a new tech small-scale version of the old timers water cannons n ground runs they used to work the high benches ,takes the pick n shovel out of the equation, smart n great on the back aye well done cheers
Shad, Cathleen.... this IS on my bucket list... I am now working a second job to save for it... Loved the video.. eagerly anticipating the next... 💗💗💗💗💋
Your lucky to have a wife that gets in there with you. My friend loves at Chicken an does very good there. Good luck. I use a pneumatic shisel for the bed rocck, works great. Good luck
DO NOT DO THIS!!! Hydraulic mining, using a jet of water on dry land, is NOT legal up here in Alaska. Nor was it legal 3 years ago when this video was made. It actually states that on your dredge permit. You can use a blast nozzle underwater anywhere you want, but it is illegal to do this above water. The hosts should have instead used the blaster underwater to remove the supporting dirt and just pulled the material above water down with their hands and a rake. Perfectly legal. The odds of getting caught are slim to none, with Slim on his way out the door. But, should you be caught, they will take everything. Your dredge, your equipment, your boat, your gold,… everything. If they’re nice they won’t take your car so you can get home. Every summer I’d run into a dirtball of a guy that just lost about $25k+ in equipment for violating our mining laws. We warned him, but his stupidity kept getting in his way. Don’t make that same mistake.
Thanks for watching. There was just so many great things to see we used creative techniques to try to capture them all for the viewer. That is the fun part of being a you tube creator and why we spend the extra time to do it.
KickAss 💪😎🔥💯🦅🍺
