In our society, growing food yourself has become the most radical of acts. It is truly the only effective protest, one that can-and will-overturn the corporate powers that be. By the process of directly working in harmony with nature, we do the one thing most essential to change the world-we change ourselves! -Jules Dervaes

Leah and I are two humans who no longer support the inhuman, oligarchic empire model destroying our planet and our true nature as human beings. As activists we decided to do something about it, so we opted out of our former lives to begin anew. We are currently transforming pristine alpine wilderness into a self-sustaining homestead and organic farm in preparation for the upcoming collapse. / oppenheimerranchproject

As a woodworker I drool for that machine. North of $15k for that bad boy. Living vicariously.
Me 2wo.
So it planes both sides of the board AND puts in the tongue and groove all in one pass? That's pretty amazing if it does that. Probably does other stuff too
Worked in a boat shop on coast of maine.
These are very quiet.....🤣
Yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
10 hrs a day
Just an awesome deal ! Lumber prices have skyrocketed.
Score! very nice and get it plained too. hell yeah, that is going to look awesome.
What a buy ! Beautiful wood.
Absolutely gorgeous
Wow! That's awesome! Sick Planner!
Nice stuff, thank you for these videos!
I had a dust moving system in a small wood shop. One day a particularly hard piece of wood and a dull router bit started smoking in the router and I saw an ember go into the vent. About 3 minutes later the entire system had a low level explosion with a huge cloud of black smoke rolling across the ceiling. The dust had collected on the inside of the system and apparently it smoldered a bit then all of the smoke inside ignited. More of a whoosh than a boom it was a rolling front of flame. Thankfully we had a large fire extinguisher handy. The dust now exposed to oxygen, exploded out of the cloud as little fireballs falling all over the shop. Scary as hell. The result was taking the time to have blades sharpened professionally 3x as often, keeping the machines sliding surfaces polished and waxed, and learning how to clean the bits after each use. I also installed a professional vent to the outside. There is a reason those collectors are stored outside. Think about gifting your woodsmeister a set of new carbide blades for that mill. Good trade. Plus you get inside info on the best local cutler for the job of sharpening when you get your mill running. Usually there is a backlog of work. We would send our scissors to St. Louis because .....Sharp tool addiction.
You cant beat the smell and look of real wood, gorgeous. The new fake plastic stuff is just nasty. That going to be one beautiful ceiling Diamond and Leah❤️👍🏻
Beautiful blue tone on that planed wood. That looks nice in your guy's house. Good work!
That's a plane and simple boom
beautiful wood and great find, good people
Boom. What a score.
I'm in south east Australia, we have high mountainous eucalyptus forests which is all hard wood, now days you can buy or hire portable sawmills which you can mill your own trees into boards, in fact you had one on your channel a while ago, problem here is second hand timber is more expensive than new timber for some reason, there will never ever be another thing that will replace wood, that be fake wood or what ever, I just love it
I'm looking at a timber king 1600 sawmill. This gets me going watching all this cool wood.I kind of really like wood.
NICE WOOD, I HAVE BUILT HOMES FOR 17 YEARS. AND CABINS. I DO FROM GROUND UP.
the woodmizer..what amazing machine,it brings back memories from shop class in high school
Hello my brother from Canada Ottawa Ontario and that's a very BIG BOOM
Wow, way cool David scoring the wood. Good job and love seeing all your work. 😁🌟
Nice job my friend! All that wood and milling for such a small fee and some barter. When it's all finished, you'll be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor for decades. Well done young man.
Oh wow what a cool machine! Love the new ceiling
You Are Styling, &'d Dialed In!
Nice Score!
&'d U can plane 2wo.
4 sided moulder = 1 piece at a time
Love seeing this, true woodworking is true art. The true building skills are rare and wonderful to see!
Great deal with the wood! Handy to have neighbours to barter with & help eachother.
Nice views up there. Enjoyed seeing the Woodmizer last time, what an amazing machine!
I love wood interiors, your place looks fabulous & will be fantastic when it's all in.
♡ The new greenhouse looks so neat , nice colours with the Earth, Wood & pebbles on floor - Greenery next!
I saw all the old branches below the soil you put it to break down, I'd like to know what other goodness you put in your greenhouse soil.🙂
Happy Friday & ☆ Ostara wishes to all for Spring Equinox tomorow.x 🌻🐑🦋❤ 🐱♏🏴🦅
got to get me one of them machines, that thing sounded like the Bag pipes 😂
Nice!
Pretty planks :)
Nice work Diamond, BTW. We Will get a hell of a weekend ahead, solarweather the whole weekend...
Looks nice bro! Ive got tng in my place...wish it was blue like yours cuz it is an overdose of wood grain when they are on the ceiling and walls when they are plain ole regular boards. The blue sets ut apart a bit in a good way.
Mental flooding event underway East Coast of aus.
Thank you that was helpful and hopeful doesn't look as hard to do if you have the right equipment handy. The place is looking great. Lots of progress. Has the bathroom been completed? I dont recall seeing a post on that.
amazing find 💯
made wood like that back in day good job / love my local saw mil .
boom
you guys are doing some amazing hard work. good dealing on your buys.
I can see the bluing being pretty flooring. When pine looked like that for fencing they hated it. Worked at a sawmill/fencing company dogearring and stacking boards each summer during first half of college. Well the the first summer was working in the sawmill part.
pine is a soft wood much like fir. We salvaged clear Douglas fir flooring from a home built in 1910 and used it on our front room. It did get scratched up over the decade before me sold the home. Really nice but looking back I would definitely find a better stronger sealer to protect the surface.
Aaaand iceland brother
I did not know it was possible to sync a third phase like that.
that's totally awesome!!!
Sounds like a solar kiln is in the Ranch's future also.
I honestly have stopped caring about the magnetic reversal. Whatever happens, happens.
I'd like it if Dave focused less on it too.
I’ve been through all of that trying to save money when I had no money. Built a 1800 soft house for 17k in 1982. Tore down houses and reclaimed the wood. A time when testosterone was strong and my labor was free! Not so much anymore!
Iceland is erupting
Diamond in the rough.
Now a highly polished gem.
@@ancientbutstillhere6570 True you are.
Pretty wood and nice Bartering.......No No No not Bartending like AOC!
Hey Diamond, Patreon supporter here. What's the insulation plan for the roof, before the ceiling goes in ? Love your work, keep it up! :)
The whole house has been spray-foamed to R-60 - The ceilings are the first floor and have hydronic heat running in them.
Four likes an haven't seen it yet, an that's a BOOM. Much love from WV
Wood!
On those slabs when they put that on the side of their house they leave maybe half inch Gap and then they put in or make up what they call sinking and it looks just like a log cabin
HEY, DIAMOND I DO THE SAME THING. I GOT A THREE CAR GARAGE I TORE DOWN AND USED THE WOOD OVER AGAIN!!! I DID NOT KNOW THIS WAS YOU ON HERE?????????
Didn't anyone notice, the feed rollers weren't working. By the time one piece of stock got through the machine you had time to take a dump and catch a movie.
Why not wait for warmer weather?
With the current price per 1000, your making more than 5 bucks in savings......say more than 10 bucks!
Over $1000 per thousand now. Yikes. Its normally like $350. 1/2 cdx is $55.
NICE Scoe good 4u

When you're cutting logs when you run it through your your sawmill cuz I remember you saying you was buying one those slabs people will buy them and they will nail them on the side of their house and it gives it to look it looks like a log cabin people buy that they almost give $4 millennial foot here and I cannot believe they pay for that imagine that you could make Google bookoo's dollars
