Some people are saying IQ is just a number, which is true, but, this young lady is applying her brain power. Good luck to her and hope she accomplishes all her goals
A lot of children with high IQs get bullied. Maybe most do. Not just by other children, but also by teachers and parents. Adults don't like being corrected several times every day, by a four-year-old. But they make constant errors, and the child finds it necessary to correct them. Parents often beat children for that. They consider it disrespectful, but how can a highly intelligent child respect an adult who is so often wrong about things? It is even true with teachers. They need frequent correction too, but they don't like it. I lived in the US during the Cold War and nuclear arms race. My father was in the Air Force and brought my early math and science talents to their attention. I was offered gifted education and a fast track to university study in nuclear physics. My dad clued me in on the plan. He told me I would be prepared to work in the weapons industry, where I would make good money. I hated that idea, so I kept refusing to cooperate and eventually ran away from home. I didn't want to build bombs and kill millions of people. I have no regrets about saying no. I'm glad this genius girl is Mexican. Her country will not try to turn her into a mass murderer. She will be able to put her mind to good use and live an interesting life, without selling her soul.
@@susmitabasu1549 Yes, and a lot of my peers did that. Most people of my generation who became scientists came from civilian families, especially middle class, child-centered ones. I know because I have met some ofvl them and read about the life-stories of others. But the environment I lived in-- Strategic Air Command bases-- was a very closed society. Much like we imagine North Korea to be today. And when you are four years old, being groomed by burly, ominous-looking, uniformed adult men, who talk non-stop about how much fun it would be to kill everybody in the world, you want none of it. I continued to like science and study it. But I got shit from teachers, who insisted the world was created in seven days, and who also didn't like my emerging political ideas ( popular with my generation) about peace, the rights and dignity of all people, and ending colonization in all its forms. I also got no support from my mother, a war bride who had almost no education and thought science was stupid and boring. She cared mainly about beauty, fashionable clothes, and looking for a rich husband, and did not like having a daughter, especially a nerdy one. She literally threw me out of her house, while I was still in high school. I could not take the advanced math and science classes in high school, because I had to work. I had to take the minimum number of classes and leave early. The physics and chemistry classes were in the late afternoon, after I had left for the day. I could have gone to college anyway, by joining the military, but I did not support the Vietnam War. In short, the issues I had to confront at age four were ongoing and determined much more of my life than the lives of some of my peers, who did become scientists. None of those issues were unusual at that time. If some if them are less common now, it's because my generation or our children's generation changed things. The good news is I did find something I considered important, and eventually, I was able to pursue it.
there are things about those "little geniuses "; ALL OF THEM ( some of those even have IQ of 250 ! ) have grown up into "ordinarily intelligent " NOT "genius -like intelligent " while those who have average IQ are far more likely to have incredible acheivements / with extraordinary thinking and having made remarkable marks in their fields of study !
@@sunnyuutinn From what I've seen, the most important thing is what one does with their mind. An average person who pays attention to things, studies, and thinks, will be smart. Another person who has a high IQ but wastes it on silly fantasies, will not come up with good ideas.
IQ isn't everything. Her ability to learn with her IQ is the key. I don't know her, but i know she has a vivid imagination. I'm happy for her. I hope she finds her passion
It's not only incredible, the vast majority of Mexican people are the descendants of highly intelligent people before 1492, this shows the whole world nowadays what Mexicans are capable of, she brings morale and pride to Mexico.
Wonderful story, kudos to her mom. How many children have been lost to society because of autism diagnoses and should have gone to special schools designed for their gift of real genius⁉️
I feel very proud of the young woman because she is a girl, Mexican, smart and she really wants to make a difference in this world. This year a been making an effort to support schools and students of all capacities, if we can please we can make a difference supporting our children around the world.
This girl is clearly gifted and I wish her the best in life! That being said, IQ is only one indicator of general intelligence. There are thousands of people with very high IQ, but they don't make the same impact as Einstein or other once in a generation scientists.
162 iq is only 4 sigma above average. There are hundreds of thousands of people with higher IQ. There's probably a million people with an iq higher than Einstein, but there's only a handful of people who so profoundly changed our objective understanding of the world like Einstein did. Maybe that's because he perceived imagination to be no less important.....
