This is my favorite addition to the castle I've seen so far, but I can think of one or two more additions to it. The first being a throne room section with a guard barracks beneath it and the second being a small village outside of it, and ok maybe one more addition, a small farm. Edit: I personally can't afford getting a second castle set, but I am working on a surrounding fortified village and farmland with a small forest area containing the new Forest Hideout.
Extensions should have always been how sold the castle line. It just makes the most sense and then people could purchase what sections they wanted. Kind of like the Harry Potter castle but without the licensing.
What a wonderful recreation of the last Lego castle!! 😍. We are starting to build castles and we are buying pieces to make it bigger. Seeing your magnificent creation encourages us to continue building castles with Lego pieces. Congratulations for the castle and for the video. 👏👏👏
I live The way it looks. It blends so well to The rest of the castle. At first I didn't even notice it. Great job I love the way the wizard tower looks like.
I love the way this castle is built. It lets you remove things and add things on to it, and if you want to have the castle in it's original set up, it's easy to just slip things off and move it back into place.
Easily the best MOC of two 10305s so far. Don't mind the additional front gate towers, although I won't be adding any to my own future MOC. I'm gonna go with a more impressive/bulky main gatehouse myself.
This is great!! You have the exact same attitude to MOCing that I do with this set! I don't really wanna change what's there, just keep expanding! Lovely stuff! Really inspiring!!
Really clever design. A courtyard really brings the castle to life, and the wizard tower adds a statement of power!! Well done. I'm definitely going to borrow some of your ideas if I can ever afford a second set!
Very nice addition. I love this castle design, I hope Lego makes more in the future. I really loved the add bridge. The wizard tower is very well done.
This is amazing. You totally kept the vibe of the original castle to your expansion. Great job. For what is worth I prefer it without the front gate even though it looks great as a build. The original castle’s main gate it’s perfection and a shame to hide it.❤
You have a new big fan here. I see a lot of moc of this castle but yours is easily the best. I was looking for someone who can do a thing like this without touching the original set. Master Builder.
ive been watching a ton of mocs of the 3 in 1 castle and the lion knights one cause im a broke boy and can only afford one 3 in 1 rn and ive got to say this is the best moc ive seen. many other ones ive watched have good ideas but have some part that seems awkwardly implemented or doesnt make sense for minifig environment or just feels wrong. this build is super impressive and feels lived in great work!
This looks amazing! I picked up more than two of these but haven't had time to do any MOC design, so I'm really inspired by videos like this. I'm three days away from two weeks off work, and I'm hoping to get some building done in my time off... and the modular design you describe and demonstrate near the end of the video gives me all kinds of ideas, because I also love the original set's front gatehouse design.
The Additions look really cool to the original but yes, I would definitely say keep the custom front. It blends in perfectly. The only other things I would add are cots for the lion soldiers and a throne room with a throne.
Oh wow, as someone who doesn‘t know the original Lego castle by heart, I had a hard time figuring out which was original Lego and what was your MOC addition, good job!
It's funny to hear "it blocks the view" about the front gate, because that's exactly what these barbicans should do - block the view so artillery/catapult fire couldn't be focused streight on the weakest point of the castle - the main gate 😅
This is absolutely awesome, totally agree with you I wish there was more content that expanded the castle. Some guy doubled it. Anyways, i think it’d be super cool if you kept the extended gate, and to the left of it added green base plates that connected and had a little garden with a walk way and maybe a little stream. It’d be a really cool addition if color too.
I like the front gate a lot, but I think you need an old castle iron gate that slides up to have for playability and paying homage to the classics. Overall excellent build!!
Amazing. Really nice how you just slide a complete castle in between the existing sides. Stables on the lowest courtyard makes a lot more sense too. The extra gate is nice, but maybe you could have used the pieces for more lower battlements on the back of the wizard tower. But fantastic work!
Masterful 👏 Loved the design! The only thing I can really think of to critique is the lack of staff sleeping quarters and/or a gate on the outer gatehouse
Really good job, nice! I want to get this castle. My theme is castle, my schtick is double-sized builds, which I started with Blacksmith. You have a really good template for adding to this 90th Anniversary castle. I honestly didn't know what I was going to do to double it when I saw the first pictures & reviews. I still don't have the budget for 1, let alone 2, but I'm working on it. Such a cool "middle section" between the halves of the original build. Looks like an official expansion! The front gatehouse looks great. The true challenge would be to try to MILS plate this beast, though that would almost necessarily stop you from opening it up. I've thought about mounting buildings onto a MILS plate similarly to taking off a modular roof, with tiles and just a few stud connections. That would let you take it off the plate & open it up. Nice to see this, def try to build a 2x size Blacksmith if you want a big building for your castle town!
This looks way more realistic than the original. Obviously this is also more expensive, but still. The additional tower in front of the drawbridge is especially great. Lego could make modular buildings so that everyone can buy the parts they want or can afford. It seems a bit weird that Lego basically has no extension sets nowadays. And even before they were mainly things like extra monorail tracks.
Thats fucking amazing, keep making more. I Think you have to make The front Gates opeing more round. Just Got mine 2 days ago and i finnished mine Yesterday, sorry for my bad english Im from Denmark
wow that's cool ! I like the challenge you gave yourself to use only parts of another castle set. The castle looks great. I'm not a great fan of the extra front section, it looks better without it. That's because it's to large in comparison to what's behind. Also the front arches don't look good because you don't have a 1x8x2 arch. The bridge and those large 6x6 brown tile dont have a lot of details. Besides that it looks really really good. The accessability, continuity of the forestmen cave, the extra towers and details are awesome !!! I'm finishing my new castle project for bricklink BDP series 1 first and I'll probably Moc my castle after.
Great to see you, poVoq, I've been following you since I first voted for Castle In The Forest on Lego Ideas. It was so cool to see it become part of the Bricklink program but unfortunately I missed the order day! I had to convert the Treehouse to a Forestmen HQ instead. If you can ever get Bricklink or Lego to do a second run on that Castle in the Forest, there are a lot of people who missed the order day and want to get it. Eagerly awaiting your submission to this newest BDP program, which I didn't even know about until I read your comment just now and looked it up.
The courtyard is great, and I appreciate keeping the original concept intact. Personally I'd have not done a wizard tower and opted for a residential area, as there's no real home. My main problems with the original set are that the tops of towers don't have gaps between the struts, (machicalations?) or murder holes except near the back gate. Also the arrow slit windows in this set are an even thickness, whereas in the other castle set released recently, the windows use wedge pieces on their side to create a wider opening for the inside, which is much more realistic to real castle arrow slits. I'm a history buff, and I'd only suggest the drawbridge addition is too large, it should lift to fit the door but be no longer, either heightening the main gate to increase the length, or having an outcrop of extra rock to increase the entrance length. This set is great and compact but some more realistic notes like homes, blacksmith, armoury etc, the most valuable people were protected inside the castle usually, if big enough, but they were largely fortified homes for the elites and their servants, so those 2 demographics should be represented most. I'm just personally not into the fantasy side of it having a wizard, may adapt him into a religion figure and add a small church area, as they were common in castles too.
Just uploaded another video with close up views. Sort of a substitute for instructions, which I can't do. Hope it helps out all of you asking for instructions.
Great MOC, really fits in well with the rest, and isn't overstated. Do you have any other MOC's you've ever done? A link to your rebrickable MOC's if you have them?
Thanks. This is maybe the 2nd or 3rd of what I would call a MOC. I built a huge and very detailed wizard tower a couple years ago, up on a mountain with waterfall and basement treasury. The other one was really just adding some walls to the Black Falcons Castle 31120... not sure anyone would consider that a MOC. Very basic. Nothing with instructions.
well done, the front entrance is actually one of the best parts of it and made this MOC really stand out as exceptional. making it an extension was also really smart. How many extra parts did you have?
I made a few small modifications to mine, turned the catacombs into a catacomb dungeon, and the dungeon area into a barracks. Raised the bell tower and used a different ramp from one of the plans out there.
I would happily pay for instructions on this expansion, nicest one I’ve seen
This is my favorite addition to the castle I've seen so far, but I can think of one or two more additions to it. Edit: I personally can't afford getting a second castle set, but I am working on a surrounding fortified village and farmland with a small forest area containing the new Forest Hideout.
Yes I’m doing something similar myself. I wish I could have this extension
Absolutely jaw dropping! I wish this were an officially available extension to the set!
Extensions should have always been how sold the castle line. It just makes the most sense and then people could purchase what sections they wanted. Kind of like the Harry Potter castle but without the licensing.
Super cool. beautiful and seamless addition. love that it's just part from a second set and nothing more.
Can you do a detalied instructions?
What a wonderful recreation of the last Lego castle!! 😍. We are starting to build castles and we are buying pieces to make it bigger. Seeing your magnificent creation encourages us to continue building castles with Lego pieces. Congratulations for the castle and for the video. 👏👏👏
awesome build. love that you left the original alone and captured the exact feel and level of detail. perhaps even more so
This is incredible man! Congratulations on an amazing addition to the original castle.
Wow that's really cool! The modularity is a great idea!
I love the insert walls in the wizards tower, I might steal that idea sometime.
Love it! Great Job!!
This is awesome! Great additions to the castle
Really nice. Love that you just added to it and kept the play features intact.
I live The way it looks. It blends so well to The rest of the castle. At first I didn't even notice it.
Great job I love the way the wizard tower looks like.
*I like*
Just bought the castle today and seeing all the add ons people are making are so cool. This takes the cake and I need that wizard tower add on
I love the way this castle is built. It lets you remove things and add things on to it, and if you want to have the castle in it's original set up, it's easy to just slip things off and move it back into place.
I was debating trying this myself and am glad to see someone do it. Will you be doing instructions for the conversion you did?
I like the extra tower!
amazing work, i really like the additional gate house
This is so impressive 👏 🎉
Just breathtaking. I'll try to rebuild it for expanding my castle. Thank you so much and keep on MOCing...
Looks amazing I hope its coming out also for the black falcon castle will be a nice idee
Easily the best MOC of two 10305s so far. Don't mind the additional front gate towers, although I won't be adding any to my own future MOC. I'm gonna go with a more impressive/bulky main gatehouse myself.

Super cool aditions without being overwhelming! Excelent Job :)
That looks great. I love remakes and add-ons to sets with strict part usage.
great bridge to the castle. I like it 😊
Nice work.
Very nice addition. I love this castle design, I hope Lego makes more in the future. I really loved the add bridge. The wizard tower is very well done.
Great work. I love this set!
I like the ideas you came up with your MOC, nice job and well done.
Wow, great rebuild of this castle set. I especially like the wizard's tower with the plant.
This Moc is very good
The draw bridge extension looks great! The rest is in line with the original castle style.
Fantastic work on that castle expansion. Very Inspiring and I love that you kept the original set intact.
This looks great! The moduler idea is sweet. I recently got a second set and am working on a moc to add a tower and great hall.
I love this set and your addition to it is fantastic! I love how well you have incorporated into the original design of the castle as well.
This is amazing. You totally kept the vibe of the original castle to your expansion. Great job. For what is worth I prefer it without the front gate even though it looks great as a build. The original castle’s main gate it’s perfection and a shame to hide it.❤

Very Very nice build or moc... would be awesome to able to download the instruction on rebrickable I believe.
Can't wait to see the next one...no pressure lol Nice work!
Its pretty awesome definitely makes me want to get a 2nd set
very well done!
Soooo cool well done
Wow, this is amazing. If you ever make instructions for it make another video!
Nice stuff
Great addition, I just finished the original and think now about this kind of addition
That’s awesome!
Well done !❤
This looks amazing! I picked up more than two of these but haven't had time to do any MOC design, so I'm really inspired by videos like this. I'm three days away from two weeks off work, and I'm hoping to get some building done in my time off... and the modular design you describe and demonstrate near the end of the video gives me all kinds of ideas, because I also love the original set's front gatehouse design.
Pure genius
Real Nice !!
Great Work !! 😀👍
amazing, you could make a castle themed channel, would be awesome
The Additions look really cool to the original but yes, I would definitely say keep the custom front. It blends in perfectly.
The only other things I would add are cots for the lion soldiers and a throne room with a throne.
This looks amazing
Looks really nice

good job
Man this is great!!! I got one 10305 and 5 31120! Loving the medieval 😊 keep it up
Solid video my dude!
very nice
nice job man! Simply making a nice middle section to add on is genius! I might do something similar now!
This is absolutely awesome, totally agree with you I wish there was more content that expanded the castle. Some guy doubled it. This is amazing, I cant wait to try and recreate this
This is great!
Now thats a castle!❤
This is the best add on anyone have made for lion castle with second castle set! ☝👍Too bad he is not able to do instructions! :(
I like the front gate a lot, but I think you need an old castle iron gate that slides up to have for playability and paying homage to the classics. Overall excellent build!!
Subscribed in hopes you keep making content like this. Really creative great job 👏
Very nice. Subbed hoping you keep adding to it 👍🏼
Impressive!
This is f*ckin awesome like how you changed it but also didn't Change it

I like the castle really because you left the castle original but still added nice details and well made rooms
Great job! I’m happy to be your 100th sub. Have you done any MOCs with the 3 in 1 castle?

Hello! Very cool MOC. Have you full video of construction process or instructions?
Cool
I am like you indeed
I'd say you need to add a joint to the wall to split it open so the courtyard can be truly accessible. As is it looks hard to reach.
great work! add its instructions to rebrickable please, if possible. thank you
Nice
Thats fucking amazing, keep making more. I Think you have to make The front Gates opeing more round. Just Got mine 2 days ago and i finnished mine Yesterday, sorry for my bad english Im from Denmark

No need to be so coy, this is a really good moc. I love how you kept the same design theme, did you bricklink the pieces or buy the set twice?
Looks very nice! I could kind of tell that you got two of the 10305 set to get the pieces (e g there are two lambs and two cows et c).
An additional gatehouse on the outside of drawbridge is traditionally called a 'barbican'.
Damnit now I need to buy a second castle lol
Legend❤
