- After a day and a half of troubleshooting I found the problem. The truck is wired for a 9004 bulb. The lights I bought are wired as a 9007. The plugs look exactly the same but the pins are in different spots. A few spliced wires later and everything works perfect.

Can't say so much, thank you for posting this video ! not only couldn't figure this out on my 2001 Dodge ram my mechanic couldn't,I went with 9007 bulb first led than lights acting weird ,so went back to reg bulb but 9007 not 9004 and thought loosen up ground or blew relay 2 weeks this bugging me out ,seen your video makes total sense, just going to put old bulb back in,since spent nearly $150 live & learn lol
Bro I love you for this. Thank you so much for posting this I just bought a hid kit and color kit for mine and they would not have worked without this video
Thanks for the video, it help me with mine up graded lights.
Thanks for the video. I saw this when buying my projector lights then it happened to me. I quickly found your video and fixed my problem in minutes not days. :)
@Joe coach man thanks your a life saver dude I would of never figured out my hid low beam on my caprice classic
Thank you so much I have a 99 and knew some wires had to be crossed up but couldnt figure it out. I have the same headlights. Where did you get your hid kit from?
which wire is which on the vehicle connector. is the red wire be positive? and would the solid purple or the purple with a white stripe?
thats great ,, so how do you like them as far as at night with lights on ,, are they clear, bright and shots far,, did you have to do any adjustments to the light ,, thanks for the vid
You can switch the pins in the connector so that you don't have to cut the wires to use the 9007 bulb
thanks that helped and did u put everything in yourself? cuz I'm new to the hid headlights and can't get mine to work
I have the same lights and just completed the install and wiring much of the help from this video.. Question now is which of the two lights are the low beam lights and the high beam lights? I have mine wired as the outer darker projector beam as the low beam and the inner has the high beam. This seems reversed to me as when on low beam the lights shine much higher than the inner which shine down on road where they should be. I think I need to reverse the high/low wires. Thoughts??
have hot coming from all 3 wires i have a red wire and violet wire and violet/white on truck harness power comes from pdc then 1 wire for low and one for high and uses the swith to switch between the ground using the postive wires i have these lights in this video the light side has black for ground and a white and also a red wire any other videos to show how to hook these lights up 2000 dodge ram
My 99 ram is doing the same thing that yours was in the previous video. i tried doing what you did but it didnt work. did you switch the wires around with both sides or just one?
Thanks so much I’m going to try this with my 99 ram 1500 sport I have the halol headlights and they will flicker and then blow the fuses and then they won’t allow you to put fuses back in it’ll pop them soon as you put them in I hope this fixes the problem
ive been thinking about getting this setup for my 2nd gen because the stock ones are dim as fuck at night and I cant see anything.. after driving with them in yours would you say that you can see way better and night and farther or is it the same they just look cooler?
I have late 99' with the three wire hot when off. How do I hook light bar to a high beam trigger?
Hey when you hit the high beam the low beam goes out and it’s not supposed to I did the same thing changed out headlights and having the same issue but mine is a sport 1500 2000
I uploaded a video that will help with 2000 or above dodge rams. If your stock plug from the truck does not have a black wire on the plug for your quad lights and has two black wires from the headlights here it is. Cut the black and red wires off the inside bulb or bright plug from your lights put the red wire from the bulb with the blue wire going to your dim splice it in then connect the black wire from the blub to the red wire from the plug and leave the 2nd black ground from the plug hanging. If your headlights plug from the vehicle has a red, purple and purple with a red stripe this will work. Then immediately do the same to the other headlight. After you do 1 headlight it won't behave correctly until you do the other wire. I recomnend using twist cap connectors first then using butt connectors to perminetly splice the wires when you are ready. If you pop a fuse look at the fuse box under the hood on drivers side and look for which side headlight either right or left on fuse box and just replace it. I blew 5 fuses for my pass headlight before I figured this out. Hope this helps anyone whi needs it. Good luck.

How did you wire your halos and leds? Mine wont turn on
On my 01 1500 ram the all the brake lights don't work. Got any ideas on how to fix them?
What was wrong with them before you fixed them? Constantly on in run position ? Or no switch control. I have constant fog lights with headlights and high beam. Anyone think this fix can solve the problem I’m having?
It is sad that for the last 30 years there have been constant issues with the light switches on these trucks...When I bought my Ram 2500 Cummins everyone told me my truck would just fall apart around that great engine it has, Sucks that they were right...
People only trash what they can. Walk up to the truck and give it a big boot. At least the bumper will take it. You can always make two good engines out of 1 truck if it needs be. Restore it or run it into the ground. People will admire them anytime of day OR take Your working parts because they can’t afford to fix their own.
How you gonna put hid kit when there's no spot for bulbs
Why didn't you rewire the halos?
here deal the old herad light switch i had no low beams replaced the swithch twice in same day all lights work but even in off position i have to unhook battery light stay on all time HElp
Are they bright at night?
ive been working on mine for 2 days. i need help
Could have just loosened the pins instead of using butt connectors.
i have a 99 i changed the wires like in vid an now high beam dont work ???
You could have just used 9004s
