"UCB's channel is pretty good. I'm enjoying browsing these OH MY GOD IS THAT-"
Ugh I watched this first and only a month later am I familiar with Brennan... how ignorant of me!!
Same
Literally what happened
Completely unrealistic. A politician would never directly address the allegations against them.
That moment when a cartoony government official has more integrity then the rel ones...
Maybe Toontown is just outside of the US
Didn't Clinton?
Shush, it's a cartoon made for children, it's allowed to be unrealistic
That's why it's a cartoon
The beginning naming him just “Brennan Mulligan” really hurt me in ways I’ll never describe
I Lee it too.
The pain is real
Especially because it's his mom's last name (Elaine Lee)
Brain Gilbert
@@bishopoftheteagods7393 horrible. Why must you do this to me.
“...they did work for about half of you” deserved a MUCH bigger reaction than it recieved; freakin clever
Seconded. Road Runner knows the way.
The best part was that one guy who clearly had to think about it for a second and just then started laughing loud.
@@seegurkekiller I still don't get it.
@@minimalgrammar1276 In some Cartoons drawn doors/tunnels occasionally work as the thing they're a drawing of: eg. the "good guy" draws a door, enters through it and when the "bad guy" tries to open it, it's just a drawing.
So the money saving trick of just drawing tunnels instead of building them was working for about half the people, even though they're just drawings.
@@seegurkekiller Oh lmfao
I’m literally shaking and crying right now, I can’t believe he would do this to Toon Town and it’s citizens. He seemed like such a goofy guy, a toon after our own hearts.
oh hi queen
Don't look at me! I voted for the rabbit!
@@christianali5431 Ugh I’m gonna say this one more time, NOBODY WANTED THE RABBIT. It’s a two-party system! The options were to re-elect the current mayor or put the coyote into office. Period. Frankly I think we dodged a bullet, the coyote would’ve made everything MUCH worse.
@@eileensnow6153 it definitely would have been far worse for birds under the coyote administration. We just can all be grateful that the Mouse was elected out of office, although I am still wondering if he was as bad as people said he was.
@@christianali5431 I was just scared of the duck's extremist speeches, in surprised he got so much support despite his views
Glad to see him go. He did nothing to stop that piano from falling on my head causing birds and stars to spin around my head. Then when I got up, my body bounced up and down like an accordion. I have never endured such humiliation.
Yeah, but my cat is still in the hospital after that damn mouse put him through hell on earth. I'm surprised he's still alive!
Its a testament to vaudeville actor Ed Wynn that even now people playing silly sounding characters are referencing his voice. He genuinely changed the sound of silliness forever.
ruclips.net/video/BLIDFk7PMLg/видео.html
I had never heard of this guy ‘til today
The king of silliness
Everyone needs an Ed Wynn in their arsenal
This guy is way funnier than the audience gave him credit
theyre being respectful lol
I know, every other shitty comedian gets cackles every time they open they’re mouth to breathe. It’s probably because he’s more talented than any of them
I agree!
Stil is, that's why Brennan is one of the main faces of College Humor
If you want to see more his name is Brennan Lee Mulligan and he works at College Humor
Love how someone had a delay laugh on the “the tunnels work for half of you joke” because it took me a while to get too.
mchikos what does it mean?
@@serina5021 Like how whenever Wile E. Coyote was trying to catch the Road Runner and made a fake tunnel. It would inexplicably work for the Road Runner but when he tried it he would just slam into the cliffside. The tunnels always work for those being chased but not for the chasers.
@@MrZAP17 That's clever!
Oh my god that’s amazing
@@MrZAP17 OH!
The main cartoonish quality of Toontown is that they voted for a politician that was direct and honest about their failings
Best coverage of Boris Johnson’s resignation I’ve seen yet
you deserve so many more likes
He sounds like king candy from wreck it Ralph
They were both modeled after Ed Wynn (the guy floating on the ceiling in Mary Poppins). He had a very distinctive voice and a big bulbous nose.
I know no King of Candy but King Amethar of House Rocks, long may he reign.
Jabez Cooke I believe you mean Queen Saccharina of House Frostwhip
Also the disney animated movie mad hatter! (That was ed wynn too)
Yes but King Candy sounds like a typical cartoon mayor so...
No politician has ever been this honest, so I commend toon town for at least choosing someone with so much candor
The audio part was missing an ‘AWOO-GAH’
And a slide whistle, though I guess that might have been just before the recorded audio...
Yes, I kept waiting for that and it never came
There's a part right in the middle of the audio recording (3:57) where Brennan's like "This is a lot longer than I remember it being" which I find hilarious for some reason
I KNOW IT FELT LIKE FOREVER
“That’s hard to listen to”
My cousin once gave me a powerpoint presentation on Anti-Capitalism in Toontown. It was an eye opening experience.
Did your eyes open to the point of leaving your sockets with an exaggerated ‘AWOOOOOOGA’ horn?
now this is how we convince people - an ancom
Ooooh that joke about desegregating the white-glove-wearing toons went over the audience's heads.
The fact that this channel isn't more popular is insane to me.
Tim Campbell us too what the hell
I would imagine video length factors in
@@Funcijej How so? 5 minutes is average. Or is the algorithm favoring all those forever-long review/opinion/react videos now?
@@TheCSJones 10 to 30 minutes is what RUclips likes, because videos that get lots of watch time get pushed by RUclips, so it's based on hours of watch time, not views. videos that are shorter aren't capable of getting tons of watch time, unfortunately.
It's too good to be popular
I watched this after "Bedtime Mode" kicked in on my phone, meaning it was in black and white. Really added a whole other layer to the experience.
Mayor Rooty P. Pip Jelly Belly McBonbon Dinglehopper O'Doofus Conroy may have done some bad things, but dammit if he wasn't one of the best mayors of Toontown we've ever had!!!
You're damn right. He made Toontown work for everyone. Not just the elite few main characters, but the poorly animated looped crowd-goers & anthropomorphized backgrounds!
He wasn't ousted cuz he 💥🤡💫💦👅🍭✨👄'ed with a few 💃's & 👻's! No! Say what you will about the debauchery of his personal life. But he wouldn't let Toontown get milked like a cow for the Build-a-Bear Group & that's the real reason why the Mickey's & Bugs's of the world axed his career! 🙃
@@twig8523 damn straight, he was a hero! He will be forever missed
say what you like about him, but he tells it like it is (and occasionally honks his nose)
He did tear down the borders around toontown and started accepting asylum for weirdly haired boys and Russian doctors
Damnit, now Judge Doom is going to run unopposed.
Peteman12 I misread that as Judge Dredd for a second.
That could be a whole new sketch
Freeways as far the eye can see
Waltuh. Git da dip.
This audience isn’t as into it as they should be. Brennan is a legend in this performance and all of the others he’s in
Honestly out of all his performances I've seen, this is definitely the weakest for me
This is what a lot of us thought A Crown of Candy was actually gonna be like
I'll be honest, I thought this was going to be about the Toontown videogame which I know very little about but, I was going to watch anyway because of Brennan. It being about classic cartoons is actually way more convenient for me.
Isn't Toontown the game about classic cartoons?
@@bentenboy13 yes it is
I mean, I assume it's Roger Rabbit based
Toontown was based on Disney characters, I thiiink the idea branched off of Roger Rabbit but it was a Disney MMO so they could really only use Disney characters in it. I believe one of the areas in the game is based on the Toontown area that is/was? at Disneyland. It generally based itself on classic cartoons though, yeah. The attacks you used were based on classic cartoon gags (throwing pies, dropping anvils/safes/pianos, funny sounds, etc.)
@@krysaltepsyr8134 apparently disney is closing it just go give it a major overhaul, not like changing what the land is.
OMG BRENNAN AS A MAYOR.... I’m used to him being a CEO ?
Imagine him as a Chief Justice.
CEO of the town
This was his stepping stone.
conflict of interest
Brennan is single handedly carrying Collegehumor, he’s the best
@@brittahasnofilter wait what
will Brennan still be making stuff? Is Dimension 20 okay?
Candied Crusader
D20 and Brennan are fine. Sam Reich has confirmed that Brennan is one of the very few people left who have not been laid off, and d20 livestreams are still happening
Man, Brendan's giving out some serious worldbuilding and he doesn't even know it.
New Dimension 20 Season when?
@@Landis963 i would pay top fucking dollar for a wacky cartoon campaign, fits the chaotic main cast so well lmao. maybe a roger rabbit type campaign where it's an investigative thriller set in a cartoon world, because all the d20 seasons have to have some kind of twist
@@mac_sour We did get Tiny Heist.
@@Landis963 no, thats legos. not the same
@@mac_sour Conceded, but I still maintain that it's a similar sort of energy, even if the filter is "Toy Story" rather than "Looney Tunes."
...Surprisingly, this is one of the best political conference and most honest politicians I’ve ever seen...
He deserved a waaaaay better audience
I don't get why this didn't get more laughs, This is comedy at its peak I don't know what show this audience was watching but it wasn't this...
I actually thought it sounded like a lot of children in the audience.
@@carsonskjerdal473 yeeeaaahhhh...I heard that too. Seems like an odd fit
have you ever been to any kind of live event - comedy or not? it is infact exceptionally rude to scream laugh at every single joke since the performer has to stop if the noise gets loud enough or nobody will be able to hear it. theyre laughing pretty loudly, just not all the time. i dont know what this weird trend is of people not thinking the audience is enjoying the comedy because theyre not peaking the mic scream laughing every time he finishes a sentence
@@smonkk8556 I've done acting in comedic plays and I find it much easier when I know their enjoying themselves...
I find the inverse true, that everyone thanks there in a movie theater and that they can't laugh or cry or gasp...when that's what we are setting out to do is actors make people feel things...
It sounds like a small audience honestly
I'm shocked, like many other residences I knew that there were rising issues in our beautifully silly town, I assumed that with rising inflation, the same talking dollar and penny didn't go as far as it used to. It is shocking to hear of the embezzlement.
I always assumed the claims about people crashing into walls when trying to go through tunnels were greatly exaggerated as I had never had these issues myself, as well having repeating backgrounds when travelling long distances is a part of our heritage. I never thought anything of it.
I can't believe our wonderfully silly mayor could stoop to such lows. We deserved so much better.
It's a cryin' shame. The man ran on a platform of honesty and pie fights. Who would've guessed he would've pulled a Dick Dastardly?
@@daniexists6 At least with Dick Dastardly, you knew what you where getting. I'm mean come on his campaign slogan was "For the Sake of Evil".
@@jmbthegreat Don't blame me, I voted third party. Yakko, Wakko and Dot were promising free candy for life.

*Everyone, when they see this:* oh hey, Brennan from collegehumor!
We need this to be the next Dimension 20 campaign.
Call of cartoonlu
I can't believe I voted for this guy
This man is unstoppable! Ultimate skill in character building.
Brennan honing his skill for the CEO sketches.
This was great! Very clever. The audience seemed unusually and unfairly subdued. Usually in these vids they're too loud, but here they seemed like they didn't get it.
It’s kind of weird to see Brennan referred to without the Lee in there
The audio part killed me!
Anyone else watching Dimension 20 right now?
Every day, I am saddened by the lack of my own Dropout subscription :’(
The SOUND EFFECTS omg
This is wasted on this audience
Yes.
Yes
But we are here to appreciate it
What a delightful surprise finding Brennan in this channel!
I still need those new pages of SFP though.
the kicker of this video was the zoomout for his giant shoes
I love just getting on to RUclips and just randomly finding Brennan on my feeds, they’re pretty much the highlight of my day a lot of the time 😂
This is the same man who played Adrian on LA by Night and Asmodeus on ExU: Calamity I can't deal with how talented he is sometimes
Oh, THAT'S why you recommended this to me, RUclips. Good call.
Before I clicked this video, I thought it was about the Toontown with the corporate robots. Then I began to watch it and loved the concept, saw it was Brennan Lee Mulligan, and I have such a higher appreciation for the guy! I wish this got more views!
Lol i used to play that game
brennan lee mulligan needs to be hired right fuckjng now
It’s so amazing to see how far Brennan Lee Mulligan has come with just his immense talent and working his ass off.
This was the inspiration for King Candy and you know it.
I like that the mayor of toontown basically has the same the same voice as Wally
Spot on Ray Romano.
yo audience is not giving this guy the credit he deserves his hilarious
So, first I stumble on a video here starring one of my old dance classmates, then I find the guy from College Humour?
Now I'm wondering what my degrees of separation are to Adam Conover...
Likely three. You know the dance classmate who was in the same comedy group as brennan. And brennan likely wrote one of adams sketches, or helped him write a sketch.
And now you know him, so yours is 4. Damn, a couple more might get you to an SNL cast member. Small world!
RIP collegehumor
I got a lot more respect for this channel now that I know brennan has been there
Brennan is so fantastic!! He could get a job anywhere...I look forward to seeing what he does next!
Okay this is way funnier than this crowd is giving him credit for
This guy has such great comedy and acting skills, it's like he doesn't try but in a good way
I'm pretty sure I can hear the laughter of Izzy and Lou, and that makes me happy. Idk why.
Maybe it's cause it creates the image in my head of his friends showing up to support him. 🙂
I love that you can tell there’s college humor staff in the crowd! Recognize some of there laughs anywhere
He should have said something about the ghosts of the dead people ascending into heaven in white robes with halos while strumming little harps
King Candy, no!
Too smart for the room
Brennan is an absolute king and i love seeing him on my feed 💞
if brennan had done this 3 years later, he would've had them rolling in the aisles
the voice breaks are really making it
I can never listen to Ed Wynn the same way again
Imagine a d 20 campaign set in a who framed roger rabbit like universe proper cartoony violence
I added this to my favorites even before i had seen the video, seeing the title and actor's name. I was right to do so.
I found this video because it popped up on my recommended and Brandon is freaking funny . I don't know how I haven't seen this video before.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Is this why toontown was canceled? Love it the legendary Brandon Lee Mulligan
IS THAT BRENNAN LEE MULLIGAN
IS THAT BRENNAN LEE MULLIGAN? THE BRENNAN LEE MULLIGAN???!
i can't believe hilda hilda is the mayor of toontown
This reminds me of Ed Wynn with the voice and mannerisms. Brennan and Ed are both comedic geniuses. Love this reference.
Only Brennan can be toon mayor and also say "ad infinitum" or well a toony version of it.
HOLY FUCK IT'S THE CEO OF TIDE

Omg it’s Brennan from College Humor!
formerly from college humor. He got laid off too.
@@kelzbelz313 no Sam Reich said officiallly that he was one of the few that were not laid off. He is going to continue doing d20 stuff

This is just amazing
He started the "cartoon logic" revival!!
The sound effects really got me
Why is this similar to wreck it ralph? that one candy villain guy
I've heard Brennan mention the upright citizens brigade. Glad their stuff is up :)
Was that crow mention a reference to the crows in the movie Dumbo? Or..other crows that were definitely created by Disney?
Brennan Lee Mulligan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love him, he's f'ing hilarious.
God, I miss Toontown
Greetings Brennen, your face is one I can remember easily
So odd to see Brennan back in improv comedy days
i know this is an old vid but that audience was too dead for how funny that was--i would've been pissing myself at the audio exhibit
We may have a little fun, maybe even some tomfoolery
So many cartoon references 😂
It's a shame that college humor went under when Brendan Started working there. He was easily the best new addition.
(I believe your autocorrect has struck again: it should be "Brennan," not "Brendan")
