I feel old listening to this now I was young when this anime came out on TV. This is one of those few songs where the ending song was better than the opening.
Listening to this brings back memories of when I was just eight years old; my mother would let me stay over at my uncle's house for a day or two, and I'd be on the Playstation2 playing Final Fantasy7 and Twisted Metal: Black. I'd also watch anime such as Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, Mobile Fighter G Gundam, and Cowboy Bebop. Then as I got older, my uncle would give me their Shounen Jump magazines and DBZ action figures, and at that point, I was basically a second-generation weeb. To this day, my uncles still play video games and enjoy Japanese culture. They both had about three or four kids; one owns his own company, and the other has reached the highest title of his career and owns a two-story house. They mainly play World of Warcraft and watch a bit of anime from time to time.
We exist at every age my friend 😉 I'm 41 and turned my 16 year old daughter on to anime when she was little. I'll watch cartoons and play video games till I'm old and dead 🤓
I don't know why, but this song came to mind around the time that my father was told that he would die and was placed in hospice in our home, this really helped me get distracted and more importantly not to hear the haunting moans at night that he would make (I still get depressed thinking about it), he always said he wasn't in pain when we asked about it, a part of me thinks he was lying to us as to not make us worry more about him and another part of me wanted to believe him, I won't know until my time comes and I ask him again in heaven, but this song really did help me out a lot. Thank You, GLOBE and you too Clone Loli, you don't know how much I mean it.
Thanks for sharing that. This song started to pop up and I watched 009 again after years and years. Not too much longer after I'd be told by my father of some bad news. I'm sorry for your loss and you have my condolences for your father. I hope you see this comment.
This is not the cyborg 009 version. There are small differences. This is the album version. I've been looking for a longer version of the cyborg 009 version for like 10 years. Will post source here if I ever find it.
This is considered the full version regardless, many anime openings/endings are made by bands and this is one such case. Despite sounding different, for all intents and purposes this is a full version.

The ver.0.8 version. Which leads me to believe there are actually atleast 8 different versions. Then there's the anime version which was rewritten for the anime. So the words and score are different from the album version. As far as i can tell an extended version isn't publicly available. It may not even have an extended version. It most likey was rewritten to fit into the limited time allowed by the closing credits. I personally like the anime version the most. There's more energy and a sense of desperation to it.
I just wish I could find a high quality full version mix of the Cyborg 009 outro. I know that this is the original song, but I love the way the outro was mixed and wish that there was an extended version of that particular mix, if that makes sense.

Poster might be from one of the older movies. There were quite a few movies and series before the 2001 Toonami one. I can tell by looking at 008's design, which is from one of the movies that got a dub (redesigned so it didn't upset English audiences)
When I was little I would Play Mortal Kombat on Playstation & Xbox and Watching WWF WCW & ECW On TV at my Cousins House including looking at Video Game Magazines I want those Days to come back right now again today
