Falling Sun - Scott Coletta

An original composition first conceived on piano, then arranged on synths and electric drum set using Reason 11 digital audio workstation software. I played all the parts live and did all the effects and mixing.
The distorted and disorienting opening of Falling Sun is the cacophony of life. It is the fear and anxiety that permeates us all, knowing that we are edging towards an end. The cacophony then explodes into an epic tale of that end. A conquering melody soars over the driving rhythmical lifeforce beneath it that feels almost like the beating of a heart and then gives way to a powerful dark surrender.
