Most RPGs have you build your character(s) up from scraps, especially SMT by having you complete near impossible challenges every step of the way just to progress, but nothing amplifies that feeling of becoming overpowered like Persona does. Getting Thanatos in Persona 3 for me was like... BECOMING the fucking Reaper, because I just could defeat everything so easily with a Vorpal Blade or Megidolaon. And SMT fans be damned, but becoming OP in Persona is such a wonderful feeling. You got there yourself, building these insanely powerful abilities that incinerate anything you touch, and it's so gratifying to just pop several charged magic attacks up the ass of the bosses supposed to be hard. And if someone wants a challenge, the superbosses are literally a door away. It could not be any more of a rewarding endgame imo

The look of fear in the shadows' eyes was amazing, just before they got eviscerated. Prince Akechi: Joker, I appreciate the enthusiasm, but perhaps dial it down a bit. Darkechi : Yes, Yes! Kill them all like that! Make it as if they never existed!
You know it's a bit too over the top destruction when even Haru and Goro feel bad for the Shadows and think that is too much. We're talking about damage that could one-shot *spoiler alert* even fkn Adam Kadmon, and he's not even using Izanagi-no-Okami Picaro.

Akechi's rebellion blade still doesn't do as much as myriad truths bc Akechi doesn't have almighty boost or amp and doesn't have country maker and Akechi is just generally underpowered and I'm not sure why
I'd argue that's not the damage cap, even if it is the highest damage you can legitimately get. The cap is probably either 4294967295 or 2147483647, depending on whether the game uses signed integers for damage calculations or not. That's the maximum for a 32 bit integer.
