People keep saying this is just a developer beta but someone had to go out of their way to approve/create these changes.
Sequoia seems like it's slowly becoming something more akin to iOS/iPadOS and not... a desktop OS.
I won't upgrade to Sequoia (currently sonoma-pilled), I'll give it a year, should the next year come and the next version of macOS is even worse. I might look to Linux and use Windows 11 in limited capacities.
2:01 I already have this issue since Sonoma, so I can live with that 😂
Where you have to dig deep into Settings to authorize the app? I don't recall ever needing to do that on Sonoma.
@@will.gallegos Yes, you need to do this in Sonoma and Ventura too.
Reading the source code can also take a long time also, and it might contain libraries and dependencies most people are not familiar about.
@@will.gallegos I have it since Sonoma, on both M2 Air and M1 Pro. For example with apps such as Mint or Whiskey. Both from Github. But also with paid apps like 4K Video Downloader+.

My app is also affected by App Groups
I agree with you this update has great new features but unfortunately a lot of bad ones. Apple also ended the battery limit API so you can't limit your Mac battery with BatFi or Aldente anymore...
Why did they remove the battery API? Did they not think about the environmental impact of this change? This is terrible and it’s going to hurt everyone in the end. Could AlDente still work through a System Extension? Or maybe this could be done through the terminal, at least? If not, then I’ll have to hold on to Sonoma for as long as possible.
@@aRandomPersonOfTheInternet Yes I shouldve stayed on Beta 4. I think they will probably fix it becausd it breaks a lot of apps. And there is probably a workaround
The first annoyance is SO uncomfortable. Try working as an IT and need to get screenshot on a daily basis :( (btw, im a emptu square clicker too!)
I get popup like 300 times a day, (like literally)
Even if i already add the permission,
This happens on these app
Cleanshot X (screenshot tool)
Pixel Snapper (screen pixel scaler tool)
Tivazo (time tracker)
Few other apps are fine with it, but those are not.
Already files feedback too.
same
Finally somebody talking about this hateful alerts that we have to deal with daily
It's a beta. It releases in September. Don't use beta software if you can't handle bugs.
These aren’t bugs, these are all intentional.
nice video dude!
"MacOS Vista" haha
OMG AND YOU KNOW WHAT : Before you could use « sudo spctl --master-disable » to allow all apps in settings (terminal command) now it says it's no longer supported and more than that, the single app mode (kind of stage manager alternative) is not longer working also...
Sounds like you haven’t tried discord’s screen sharing.
You must.
I do use it, and Discord uses the Screen Recording API. They did somewhat improve it, making it a month instead of a week, but still.
