In quite a big part of The Netherlands we live below sea level. Managing water is so important to stay alive and keep our place to live. Davina Michelle became famous all over the world when Pink heard her interpretation of her song "What about us" and reacted saying she could never sing the song as good as this. Davina started her YT channel singing covers but she's singing her own songs for several years now. A powerful voice indeed.
Wow, thank you so much for bringing back this memory ! 2021 was the year I got hooked on the behind the scenes of ESC. That's not just because of the fact we had a hard time worldwide and the Netherlands had the guts to do something really, really healing with providing this ESC as they did. Also because all of the participants just wanted to be among people and make as many friends as possible. The world situation as we know it now was unimaginable at that point. I watched _so_ much content from behind the scenes in this year (as I do until now sometimes). It was so pure, nothing like the clean and sterile TV show. Seeing so many people just having the time and party of their life was and is so wholesome to me. I really have to thank the Netherlands for providing the best ESC ever! I'm happy to see "The Power of Water" again, because interval acts don't get as much attention as they should and can easily be overlooked. I confess, I forgot about it as well ... Bringing back this is gold! It's such a statement for the Netherlands. There aren't many countries in the world that not only have this special relationship with water as a life force, a gift and an enemy - and not only handle it so well but turn all of their water management into forward looking and trend setting masterpieces!

The water theme was an obvious choice, because Eurovision 2021 was in Rotterdam, the great harbor city. The final had an important bridge as theme.
