Yes that’s correct. This one is a 1914 Dentzel Carousel. Most state fair usually have a small Chance Rides or Rip Off’s from other companies. At least this is still in good condition. Too bad the Band Organ doesn’t work anymore but the music sounds good regardless.
@@GarlandTexasSpotter2024 the one at cedar point ( like this one) at the kiddy kingdom section I don’t think has an actual organ just a facade like the 157 on the king arthur at Disneyworld which is also a Dentzel similar to this but with the Disney the wing on it. And Atleast Kennywood’s 153 is in good condition and still plays ( although I heard it may be getting switched to midi for the music).
@@JustinCampbell-w5lI don’t think Kennywood’s 153 will switch to MIDI because they will just waste the use of paper rolls and cause more problems. The midway carousel at Cedar point has a Wurlitzer 153 converted to MIDi and always breaks down and sounds terrible. King Arthur carousel has a 157 facade but no band organ behind it. It was taken down in 2005 and taken to a different park or museum
As far as I know that seems to be one of the only state fairs to have a permanent carousel and is not a chance rides one
