Verizon is making prepaid great again
MPGA!
Glad they’re trying . This is a tremendous offer
I came from total wireless I used them for a year and they were subpar at best and I was paying $50 monthly I left them back in February for Mobile x and right now I'm paying a little bit over $26 a month for 30 gigs of data and it's prioritized as far as I'm aware on average I'm getting 160 -170 megabits depending on where I'm located obviously
I told Tyrone yesterday. This is going to draw in a lot of the metro by Tmobile customers, heavily targeting the Hispanic base and population that sprawled T-Mobiles growth, with many stores opening, and more stores opening soon in the coming days, in these key segment locations.
Facts my guy, Total Wireless birthed by Verizon is the now and the future. Total is officially no longer a Tracfone company as of today.
Nice! Verizon is shaking up prepaid! Awesome!!
It looks like Verizon is about to change the game in the prepaid phone service
@@morriswalton9343 I know right
@@morriswalton9343Facts💯😎♥️
Thank you Sneed Mobile Tech, for doing this video. 😊 I am a Straight Talk & Total Wireless customer. It's been exciting to see what new things are & have been happening with these 2 prepaid phone companies!! 😀
They opened 3 total stores here.. now they have to go back and redo the signs again but lets see how this works
They’re doing all this with competitive phone offers and a 60 day unlock policy. Even though is a requirement Verizon, it still is a big flex that they’re still going all in, in every direction.
Requirement for verizon*
Was gonna switch to cricket 4lines /100 but total might be better now since it has hotspot and taxes and fees included
@@Quangcurry13524 I'd say do it please. Total is so much better now fully owned + recreated by Verizon. Cricket is poison.
Yes please switch to the new Total.
I think the people that wanted customer service with visible should look at this.
This is great, thanks for the content Mr Sneed.
The new uncarrier ladies and gentlemen!
Which is why im going...total! Thanks for the very informative video.
Can never go wrong with change
@@loyaltohouston they had to. Nothing was working.
@@realsmtbout time they get back in the fight
Sounds good to me. Might bring my line over to total.
You should, well worth it.
@@andrewaddison6270 thanks for the update. Will do
Until they start putting up competitive numbers No one needs to respond. Those Total stores in my area are DEAD, no traffic
Verizon will be the king of prepaid.
💯😎♥️🍾🥂🎆🎇 Facts my guy, facts.
Nice changes.
This is a great move by Verizon.
Did you read AT&T is laying off people from Cricket
With Total Wireless and Visible Verizon is the prepaid GOAT!!!!! Sneed I was wondering, should Verizon merge their straight talk/track phone brand into total wireless and bring over the Walmart plus/Paramount+ perk?
@@andrewpierre1251 that's not a bad idea. Three prepaid brands is plenty. Visible for the minimalist, total for the prepaid postpaid bridge, straight talk for the notoriety.
@@realsmtTotal was going to be the main regardless. I will be sitting this one out with Total, beforee officially switching to them. New Total still have some changing to make to their new website, some of the old Tracefone wordings is still there.
Nope Total is the true GOAT. Visible needs to be folded into the Total branding.
I mean, they already let prepaid have the same QCI as postpaid so why not 🙄
The 50$ unlimited plan is actually 57$ a month and the 60$ unlimited plan is actually 67$ and yet total by Verizon or new total wireless wants to still rip off customers
That's not true. Go to their website, all of that has changed now. It's no longer 57 nor is it 67. Do your payment online it will only be $55 flat rate and $65 flat rate. Please stop spreading false information.
I’m guessing you can’t mix and match plans?
So far from what I'm noticing Viz still has them beat on the hot spot everything else looks ok, I really dont care about the Disney but everything else looks good, I'm riding with USM Warp 5g for my main like and the metro $25 welcome port plan on my second line
That's who I'm on. I used to be on visible
@@Bryan-Hensley same switch over this way, I like usm
@@coldk78 Nope, not at all. Total is only 5mbps while Visible is only 10mbps. You wouldn't notice a difference anyway. Total comes with 2 plans with priority access to Verizon's network while the Base plan is fully deprioritized.
The New Total is better.
Still no smartwatch plans!!
It's Total deprioritize? If so they still can't compete with US mobile
Looks like a very good deal
According to Wikipedia att and Verizon are tired with 114 subscribers while t-mobile is in 3rd with 98 million 😮
Verizon is the largest network here in USA.
I was working at total by version for a year and I got laid off due to a bunch of stores not making profit and the company was late on rent at multiple stores, definitely a shady thing ngl I was a store manager
Another great video like always, bro not watching your videos definitely I think this is a great move for Verizon. This is an carrier mode coming from Verizon. Yes, this is an car move, bro I like it. It pushes to be better and to be better and Boost to be more competitive so at the end of the day we all win and now I might even think about trying out total wireless.
Boost is all the way last. The New Total is better.
Very interesting
Even before I watch your video, this Wireless company desperately needed a change. I was originally saying they should just merge with Visible, but I’m looking forward to watching the whole video.
Visible is a Verizon prepaid service. I agree they should merge with them
Total is more of a retail brand versus a full on digital only carrier.
Hey I'm redoing one of my comments just have a change of heart. Be right back.
You are absolutely right, my thoughts are Visible in the long run won't make it for the long haul. Visible will eventually end up being folded right into the Total branding. I want Visible to fully merge into the Total branding hopefully soon. Total is super superior over Visible with better opportunities.
@@DerekSpencer97Same here, I want Visible to merge into the Total branding. Visible is struggling so bad. They will end up being folded into the Total branding soon.
If only they could make post pay this good.
Honestly its not bad, means reasonable. I guess they are the new true uncarrier
Does this mean that Total now has full access to Verizon network versus being stuck to a beta tester network? Full access meaning 100% Verizon??
Yes
@realsmt??
My thing is that why on the Total 5G+ Unlimited plan has a Visible based hotspot speed cap. Why isn't the cheaper teir unlimited plans have that hotspot speed cap after the respected threshold? Then that means the top tier plan should have more than 5mbps, respectively. It makes a bit of sense, and quite frankly, that's gotta be a marketing bug. 🤔
But are they going to rebrand the rest of the Tracfone like Straight Talk?😮😊
total wireless it was that name before total by verizon
Does anyone know if total has Verizon roaming tower agreements such as LTEIRA or what ever it might be called ?
@@coldk78 full network access for total.
@@realsmt I may have to think about trying them out
@@realsmt so you have unlimited access you’re only gonna be slowed down in times were towers are congested
Are you talking about domestic roaming? Visible has it, US mobile has it.. that's a good question.
@@Bryan-Hensley yeah the domestic roaming US Mobile has Verizon roaming agreements. Visible does too, but they don’t have the ones that US Mobile has.
I have Verizon post paid but I added a Mint mobile(T-mobile) prepaid esim. The prepaid has better coverage than Verizon in many areas and has so far been more dependable compared to time past.
Maybe for you, not for many others.
@@andrewaddison6270 You’re probably right. I have an iPhone 11 Pro with a Mint eSIM and there’s several areas around here in the mid south that have much worse reception compared to what the iPhone 15 pro reception that’s day and night difference in the same locations.
I think it depends on where you live...Hey which city are you from?
If you need 3 or 4 phones for a family or group, this is a good deal. We only need 2 phones so it isn't as good as Visible for us. If I needed 3 phones I would pick the middle plan with the unlimited hotspot.
The new Total is more reasonable over Visible though. Visible is very confusing, less helpful, less features, less convenient for me.
@@andrewaddison6270 That is why they made Total. You don't have to be confused about your phone service.
@@andrewaddison6270 That is why Verizon is making different plans for everyone.
Why no price lock but just a 5 yr guarantee
@@Quangcurry13524 it's industry best. Nobody has price guarantee anymore. Att doesn't have one and T-Mobile violates theirs.
@@realsmt I mean in prepaid. Cricket doesn’t say that have one either but their prices truly don’t increase
Hey great video!! Does anyone know if total wireless has data roaming in the D.R.??? I just called Total wireless customer service and I had a horrible experience... I was trying to verify if you can use data while traveling to the Dominican Republic. According to their website on their Total 5G+ Unlimited Plan which includes Plus roaming in 15+ countries, and $10 long distance credit to 120+ destinations “International roaming is available only within the following select countries: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay and Peru. These plans allow calls within the roaming country and to the US. Data used while roaming internationally will be deducted from your service plan’s 10GB roaming allotment.” The representative spoke English with a very heavy Indian accent but did not understand nothing I said. But he did state that the company does not have towers out side of the U.S. and that I will not have data coverage while in the D.R.
I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty certain that you will be able to roam in DR since on the website states that. The representative probably got confused and thought that you were asking if Total wireless had native coverage there "which is a no" or maybe he's not aware of the new plans; who knows. You could try asking on their FB, twitter(X) , or IG web page they might give you the answer.
@@depothedude I really appreciate it. Will do!
So, new increases I guess...
@@freespiritt_99926 what increase?
There is no increase it’s a rebrand now metro by t mobile increase there prices
@@antoinegeorge4287 Only for new customers, heritage plans have been grandfathered in and always have been for Metro.
Single lines on total got a increase. New multi plan lines are cheaper for total. Overall really good value here and I like it
@@dallasderringer9475 single didn’t get a increase it’s always been 30 to 50 dollars
