nice work mate, a few missed shots, but some pretty epic shots as well, cool spot in the rock bridge there... Loads of sea Urchin on the rocks, any Abalone down there... Watching from New Zealand.
@@bandanimals3710 tell me about it, I actually had never heard of it called Abalone until I saw that commercial diver guy from southland call it that... Kia ora there bro.
Nice vid and amazing location! My son and I spear South Florida, Bahamas, and the Caribbean, so this looks like a completely different planet to us. A new adventure for our spearing bucket list for sure!
Nice channel! Curious seal at the start of vid. Funny observation. Missing a few fish here and there is mandatory. It sucks but makes it all the better the times you hit 🎯 😁 Keep up the good work👍
The first shot that you missed was a bummer (that looked like a fair sized fish AND was swimming with its side towards you). Excellent sea hunting! I hope you cooked them all well and/or shared them all with friends and family.
A dangerous place for divers and yet you make it look so easy. I call this place home. I seen views on your vid here ive never seen before. Thank you for the share
as an avid scuba diver, why do I hold my breath as I watch these videos???? How deep are you going? 40' or so? Pretty fun to watch. Your house for fresh rockfish tacos!
Yeah the vis was insane! I was surprised to see the amount of urchins too. we still have a lot of healthy kelp forest, I just hope it stays just way. Most of the purple urchins were in the depth range that is limiting for kelp growth though.
Sweet videos! What kind of conditions weather wise do you look for to plan your trips? Wave height, wind? Any specifics you can share for conditions you like?
Thank you! I go for low swell (5> ft) or a swell direction that won't hit the dive spot, no rain, usually high slack tide, and low wind or wind that is in a direction not affecting dive spot
I visited this place once and thought dam, I wonder what it would be like the dive here, the visibility looked epic, might have to load up the spear gun and head over to give it a shot
I’d be happy with a few of those tasty urchin 😂 hoping this year to find a beach to dive for them in Washington, I’m usually messing around in hood canal or Westport need to start exploring more of the coast here
Very nice scenery. Completely unspoiled. I live in a tropical, climate now, grew up in so cal. I can’t even handle the water temp in so cal anymore… although I don’t have the suit for it either.
Washington is so beautiful? Where were you exactly? Or is that a secret like the last time I asked you about where you were? What kind of fish are they?
siempre interesante ver la pesca en otros mares, aguas frías parecen y mucha fauna, habrá que vigilar a las focas para que no se coman el pescado supongo, parecen de la familia de los meros los peces
Yup, just look for rocky substrate that scallops attach to. Also don't use a dive knife to pry scallops off rocks, you will break your knife (I've done it)
Check your shaft make sure its straight sometimes close shots like that aren’t always your fault but seems like your fault the first few rusty start happens to the best of us 😂
There is a lot more than ling and cabs you can spearfish: perch, greenling, flounders and flatfish, rockfish, carp. Check the regs depending on your location, but there is a lot you can spear.

Thank you for the support from afar! We can't take abalone here in Washington, they've been heavily overfished in the past
From NZ, calling pāua abalone... criminal LOL
@@bandanimals3710 tell me about it, I actually had never heard of it called Abalone until I saw that commercial diver guy from southland call it that... Kia ora there bro.
@@leopardsgowild Kia ora! My only issue with Americans are that they don't like kahawai and call pāua abalone
@bandanimals3710 well if thats your only issue, they must be bloody good people... 👍 👏

Yes try and make it out here some day! The kelp forests are seriously magical
that grotto with the seal looks amazing
just wow 💜 …that is absolute paradise in the pnw🌲nice catch as always!
So jealous. Stuck inside in eastern washington during this beautiful weather. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you!! More videos to come 🦆

Oh yeah everything gets eaten, that's the reason I'm out there! The fish from the coast is super high quality
@@MukADuck any idea where that first shot went? the aim looked perfectly fine
Beautiful little dive spot brother! Looks stacked with good fish.

Thanks, the coast is amazing

Yup the deeper dives were around 40'. Thanks for watching!
You dove down to 40 feet??? I can't clear my ears at 10 feet! @@MukADuck
Wow, very jealous. We rarely get viz that good down in Oregon. Sad to see that there are some urchin barrens starting up there too. Subscribed

Keep it up y'all 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
Cool place. Thank you for sharing.
so sick! I used to live in Sequim and just started spearing in Hawaii, hoping to come back and give a shot at it !
Dude you're in spearfishing heaven! Get it while you're over there too

Great video. What are ya using? GoPro version?
GoPro 7 and 5
Epic video. I need to get out there in a serious way.
Get it! 💯🌊
I visited this place once and thought dam, I wonder what it would be like the dive here, the visibility looked epic, might have to load up the spear gun and head over to give it a shot
Def worth a shot!
I’d be happy with a few of those tasty urchin 😂 hoping this year to find a beach to dive for them in Washington, I’m usually messing around in hood canal or Westport need to start exploring more of the coast here
Prime urchin habitat is rocky substrate next to a kelp bed. Usually got to get out to the coast to find a lot of them
@@MukADuck much appreciated, I'll get out this year and see what I can find, have me a little catch and cook with the family
It’s a solid spot! Tons of fish! Didn’t get any lingcod? That little challenge is a grinder with a little chop.
No lings that time! Hopefully next time out 🐟
That's content we don't often see. Thanks!
More to come!
Absolutely amazing
Wow I would love to do this! I miss the islands

Yup gotta have a thick suit to dive out here. I love diving in the tropics too it's all warm and clear

Yeah it really is amazing out there! It's a secret spot though 😎 those were all black rockfish
epic location, I subbed!
Thank you! 🦆
You tried to line it up on the first 2! Super close haha
I know! it's easy to get too hyped up on the first couple of dives

North Washington coast🌲🌊
Do you guys ever dive for scallops? If so, any advice?

Thanks for the tip, shaft is good my shots were just crap at the start of the dive 😂
Man that's some still water
Conditions rarely line up to be this good
damn this is heaven
Amen
Ah looks like a good fun day in the pnw.
Awesome video makes me want to dust off my spear gear
Get it!
Hunting a marine sanctuary...very good.
Yes it is very good fishing out there and it's legal too! Give it a shot 💯🐟🦆
Terrible audio!
Yup the wind is no joke!
To bad the only fish you can spearfish in Washington saltwater are lingcod and Cabazon
There is a lot more than ling and cabs you can spearfish: perch, greenling, flounders and flatfish, rockfish, carp. Check the regs depending on your location, but there is a lot you can spear.
You can spear any legal saltwater game fish except for any of the salmonoids.
