Correct. It marked the dawn of the techno/house/electronic revolution...circa Cape Town, 1991. Little did I know how privileged I was to be part of it.
Twin Peaks indeed but easily one of the best dance tunes of all time in my humble opinion, grew up with this and The Shamen amongst many any classic dance acts!!
I had a playlist of tons of classic beats when I went to Warsaw last summer, and this was one of them. I'm so glad that I stuck to that playlist the whole time. Not only was it perfect for Warsaw, with the architecture and transportation, but it also ingrained those memories in my mind. I remember hearing this song while riding the streetcars past all these 1940s classical apartments then ascending into soviet blocks. So damn good.
@dellwright1407The original comment was 12 years before nikkipachecos comment. I think that's what was being referred to, not that they thought Go was 12 yrs old
A fast bpm beat, simple piano chord progression, and bits of sampled female vocals = 90s house music. Nothing better....what a joyous era for music....
This was the best clubbing era, hands down. I feel sorry for the kids of today. They'll never know the purity of the 90s rave scene and even early 2000s
Kids today need to listen to good techno from the 80s and 90s and make something today that isn't garbage. Cannot even listen to the music made today. Bring techno back with flare.
I am reading his book "Porcelain" so I was curious about the "go" song he mentions in his book. I've always listened to that song but I never knew who was the artist.
you know I had always thought I had heard the music from Twin Peaks in a techno song before. I am glad it was Moby and not some made up memory from my raver past. Much props to Moby for being down with Twin Peaks.
Moby is a genius. The track that defines the entire rave culture... Very tough to track down.. Ey ey ey doesn't work.. Found it through 24 hour party people other tracks used FINALLY 8)

Moby's got some great hits. Especially from Play. Bodyrock and Natural Blues are my favs. Why he gotta be a crazy vegan liberal tho. That's not how you got rich, fool.
Back in the 90's I found a compilation cd with this song on it. Only years later did I come to find out every song was by Moby and each song had a different group name. The record company wanted to look like it had signed a bunch of different artists for a compilation.
yah i remember using his tracks as a dj. and if you mix go with littel fluffly clouds from orb and then transition out its an interesting experience i miss decent techno and raves

In a whole the best era, experiences peaked before smartphones and social media ruined everything.
Or the rock and roll concerts in the 1970's or clubbing in the 1970's, 1980's and all of the 1990's!
That epic electronic sound that never gets old. It's like an entity.

thanks to this track, all the time i was watching Twin Peaks with my friend Chris he would yell "GO!!" during random scenes.
I am reading his book "Porcelain" so I was curious about the "go" song he mentions in his book. I've always listened to that song but I never knew who was the artist.
