How amazing you talk about this book so recently! I've heard about this one today and just wanted a review about it, because seemed so nice! Thank you for it. Love the way that you talk about the books you read! +1 subscriber here. Hugs from Brazil.
Wow! There is a book by Haruki Murakami called "What I Talk About When I Talk About Running" which was inspired by this book so I thought I'd check it out. I thought this book was going to be about love in a fluffy romantic way but I guess I was wrong! I did some research into Raymond Carver and found a poem called "Drinking while Driving" He sounds kind of depressed in it and it ends with: Any minute now, something will happen. but he doesn't say what, that must be his style.
May be you would like to read "Beginners", is the original version of this book before Gordon Lish (Carver's editor) cut about 50% of the book. Lish also rewrote the end of 10 stories, and changed some titles. This also happened with "Please, would you be quiet please", but the original version of that book has never been published. After that, Carver broke with Lish. A lot of people like to read "Beginners" and compare it "What we talk about when we talk about love" and debate about which version is better.

Thank you. Noted. I’ll have a look and see where I can find this. I’d love to read more of Carver. Thanks for this recommendation.
Best American short story writer. Bad poet. But insane short story writer.
Amazing presentation ❤
Thank you!
