    I had discovered this trick about 6 months ago and it really does help. Highly recommend doing this on existing Fastrack or new installation as well.

    I used a similar tool prior to assembly, very lightly on the female end. Then applied Ox-Gard (anti-oxidant compound) to the male pins, then assembled the track.

      @@AudiOhm I haven’t tried the ox guard yet but I’ve seen videos on it. I still have the other 2/3 of my layout to build so I definitely will get some.

    That’s a good tip, and you could take it one step further by filing down the tips of each edge so they are more blunt and apply a more broad contact surface.

      Messing with those tips makes me nervous. First one I ever touched snapped off. Not very good steel that’s for sure.

    another fix is to bend the middle pin the right way for better contact for when you put the track together it makes a big difference

      @@bernardconeghen I tried that once. Snapped the pin. Haven’t touched one since other than to clean it.

      yeah I almost came close to doing that I found out it payes to go slow
