- [NETTNETTCLUB VIDEOs - CAR DIY] Our BMW F10 comes with ambient lighting. It took us a while to realise that as it was really dim and to be honest, you can't even see it at night. Did a quick search online and found ambient lighting kits at over $200 to $300. Wasn't paying that amount for a few LED strips. Found a similar DIY build and away we went. Quite an easy fix and whole thing took us less than 1.5 hours.

Hi Alex. The led strip that i got came with the 2 wires. So i just plugged them into the existing ambient light connector.

Can I install two colour?
Hi Benny, wanna seek your opinion. I installed the led strips. Worked for a day and then now, it just blinks and then just not lighting up after the blinks. I rechecked and nothing is missing. Wdyt?
Hi Pit Pot. I'm guessing it might be the connections from ambient lighting to leds. If not, use another led to try or swap them around to test.
Hi Benny, yes you are right. The led connection on 1 of the doors was loose. Attached it properly and all are good now. Thanks for the guides!

Hi Benny, I saw that you indicated the led strip length as 4 x 1m. Can I check if you utilised all 4m or is 3m sufficient? Thanks
Hi Theodor. I think I cut away some here and there. But then again, the leds strips are really cheap. Better to get 4m and you have excess to play with rather than halfway through the diy then you realise you do not have enough :)

The colour of led same like origina colour?
Hi Lim. Nope it's way brighter and it's red colour. Original is orange I think :)
