- Here is a 2005 performance from Wilco on ACL with the great song Muzzle of Bees off the A Ghost is Born record. Nels Cline is a rock god. To fuel the Ryan Adams vs. Jeff Tweedy youtube controversy. Both awesome bands with strong willed, drug addicted lead singers. You decide "tubers"! Who's better: ryan or jeff?

How does this not have a billion views?
probably the best Austin City Limits episode I had seen to that point. could've been a live LP in it's own right. sound was amazing
In my top three Wilco tracks. I can't get enough.
Ryan Adams is a quirky, talented dude with some scruffy charm. Tweedy is a genius.
No comparison.
This is the show and album that got me hooked on Wilco. Jeff and company are the best. The build up to the end of the song is worth the ride.Wish the entire show was available for viewing like the good old days.
I learned this song when I got sober about 15 years ago crying every day. Last I really remember impressing my dad. Shouldn’t of ever tried to get a straight job. Jesus forgive me I really thought I tried.
Remember to be kind to yourself.
Nels sure got them nimble digits !
jorgenson piano playing is gorgeous
I tried to get into Wilco years ago, I just didn't like it and didn't get it. I discovered Ryan about 6 months ago and I now own everything he's ever done. Ryan is amazing although I have nothing against Wilco. Ryans music just speaks to me more.
Glad someone said it
magnifique!
freakin Nils too good
Who cares! Just enjoy the fucking song!
It's awesome!
Nels is about 50 years old here. Barely looks 30.
Jeff/Wilco by a mile. They have an experimental flair that works, and that Ryan can't touch. Ryan is very prolific and tries to be something different on most of his records, but it's all really a little 'same-y'. Wilco's albums are unique statements that progress with each new one, certainly through Ghost and arguably to the present day.
also solo Jeff acoustic: all the songs are memorable, distinct entities. Ryan doing the same thing would have the tunes kinda run together.
both are great. But Ryan is much more derivative. Jeff is more abstract and original.
I think Ryan is better, its all opinion though. They are both great
ryan, hands down.
Where is the whole show?
Doesn't get much better
What is wrong with all of you? There's no comparison. Jeff Tweedy is the best songwriter alive. Ryan Adams would even agree to that, even with his monster ego. In 100 years people will be pouring over the Wilco catalog, completely obsessive and connecting with each song. Ryan Adams? They'll be like "Who the fuck is that"? Yeah, I like some of his stuff. SOME. But he's written a lot of filler songs, a lot of bullshit. Jeff Tweedy has been and still is writing consistently brilliant material. He's already in the same league with Dylan, Guthrie, Young. If anyone would rather listen to Ryan fucking Adams than Jeff Tweedy, then they obviously have no soul. Take a second and look at what you have. What we have. We have a singer/songwriter who writes and performs in the same league with our great singer/songwriters of the past but HE'S STILL ALIVE! Go and see Wilco. Go and see Tweedy. While we're still able to do so. Don't wait until it's too late and then whine about how much you loved him and wish he was still around. Just like everyone did to Elliott Smith. I was friends with him and I watched firsthand the way he was abandoned when he needed to know how much people loved his music. Then after he died, "We loved him so much". Come on. I'm not being a dick. I truly love this music and I want others to do the same. It's not difficult to love music that is amazing. Try it out. Go on....
-_- Jeff Tweedy is the singer/songwriter of Wilco.
They're both great but if you're going to make me choose then I choose Ryan!
Adams=formulaic. Tweedy has no instruction manual
ok who the fuck is tweedy?? hahah the other guitarist?\
Blah, Blah, Blah Ryan Adams Blah, Blah, Blah Jeff Tweedy Blah, Blah Blah... Watch the friggin' video already.
