Touch pad is not as bad as the reviewers say it is.
I love mine.
If you want a german car, get one. It is much better than my ‘15 X5 was.
Not so sure it beats a Cayenne though. We are keeping our ‘16 Cayenne for now!
I never said it’s bad on the review for the non touchscreen but that I would like a touchscreen.

Great review Anthony! That interior was so nice and you really can't go wrong with an Acura. My ride has the touch pad too and I think that I actually prefer it. For me I really just use it for audio and I can do a bunch of stuff from the steering wheel. Too bad this car did not have a better exhaust note though. Hope that you are doing great and enjoying the weekend!
They are awesome vehicles but when you get used to touchscreens it’s hard to go back. You are right about Acura though it’s a vehicle that you don’t have to worry about for long term ownership.
It’s been another good weekend, I did some yearly house cleaning outside. The weather was amazing, sunny with a light breeze, I wish I would’ve checked the temps today I would’ve went to the beach 😁. How has your weekend been James?
@@HawkeyeRides Oh I never thought of that! I had a loaner with a touch screen but that's it as far as using a car with tech. Sounds like a great weekend there. It was really nice here and we're supposed to have a big warmup next week. We've have a cool very rainy winter but I'm not really ready for the heat. Thank God for AC lol! Have a good one Anthony
Is Acura the only brand that refuses a touch screen?

The 2025 MDX refresh is supposed to include a touch screen. I think Acura is coming around and realizing that's what the customers want.
Seems to me Infiniti has a more luxury feel than Acura…but I cold be wrong. For me I think paint quality on Infiniti is better than Acura, dealer experience ?
Paint on both are good, I bought my second Infiniti the same time a friend bought his Acura. He still has his just over ten years, I traded at nine years both garage keep though and I out drive him with 175k he has 120ish.
Dealerships is very important which I found both can be 50/50, meaning the first one you go may seem nice than they are not. Ultimately making you find another one that is better after you explain the problems you had. Sadly this is not only with these two companies but it’s with a lot. I recommend if or when you buy them talk to the service team (not only the manager) so it will help you feel them out. The teams I review with are some of the best that’s why I review with them as I will not work with those types of dealers.
@@HawkeyeRides In Miami, service at dealerships especially European brands is terrible….as if theyre doing a free favor for you. Recenlty , i visited an Acura dealer that was in a family hands for many years and now under a mega dealer conglomerate .. what a change for the worst … i ran out of there .. super high pressure sales .” What would it take for you to sign ?” was the salesman every other sentence ..followed by the sales manager
I normally buy from smaller owned dealerships or I go online to fine the best deal but when doing this they will not come down a cent from any deal you make online. I’m in Tampa area which even the dealership that have been bought by larger companies haven’t changed much however stay away from stock owned dealerships (stock market buy them too) , they only care about numbers and that’s the service they give but you can score great deals at the end of quarters and service at another dealership.
I feel like if they get rid of the touch pad, you'll trade in the infiniti LOL
That and maybe 7-10k less I would buy it, they are awesome vehicles but that tech 🤷♂️ even my son said no quick 😁 because of that and they like the captain seats of the Autograph.
Touch pad is not terrible. My X5 dial select was worse.
Why would anyone buy a 2024 when the refreshed 2025 is right around the corner?
