- Color Vinyl Show & Tell, Part 2... Yet another video for the YTVC focusing on colored vinyl and unique releases. The first video was in response to Maggie's (1204willow) request to "show your colors." I have so much vinyl like this I could probably go on for a few dozen videos like this, but I will try and get the best stuff into the first few parts...
Portishead Dummy has a cobalt translucent blue I really want. It’s beautiful.
I have a 70's era Led Zeppelin Houses of the Holy, record, which is grey with black streaks radiating from the center, Ive had it since the late 70's.
I actually gasped when you held up Botch
Really enjoying these videos. Very cool records. Really great to see If These Trees Could Talk on vinyl. Really like them.
Love your vids bud!!! Keep up tke good work and Thanks..
Hi Gozers Den,
I Really like your colored vinyl's collection. I would love to get some 45" colored vinyl's for my Wurlitzer Jukebox. cheers
OMG - there are so, so many! Ha. I think I need to start visiting other people's collections
Lots to like. Not too long, no rambling, you just get down to business.
You should do more videos of your colored vinyl! I love them and your vids are great!
Wonderful video. Thanks for sharing! Do another video. Oh...loved the CDs too. How about "box sets". Some cool items.
Very classy vid - thanks for turning me onto Mouse on the keyboard - i need to find that EP!
Nice Dopamine shirt!
If you can find a copy (very limited run) definitely pick up Michael Sweet's album "Ten" on colored vinyl. I have dozens of titles in my collection, and this one is the most beautiful of all of them.
love your stuff man
Wildildlife! I dig that album a lot! Botch album looks amazing. So many cool colored vinyl albums, so little time eh Tim? Damn.
Love your channel!
Love my vinyl, I own 2 in colour. Their seems to be a shift from chatting about the artist, music, studio quality & cover to making the vinyl attractive.
My concern is, has anybody done tests or checked what chemicals & procedures are going into the actual vinyl that have contact with the needles from our often expensive turntables & how does it affect the longetivity of that vinyl, which we know from old vinyl records we get many years of pleasure if looked after. Will we be able to play these tampered with vinyl records in years to come. Or maybe not just for the sake of aesthetics.
Some early videos explain why I talk about design rather than the music (in essence, plenty of channels are doing unboxing videos or talking about the music). This channel just focuses on another part of the unique qualities of vinyl collecting
Mouse On The Keys is incredible, I went and bought two records online after hearing you talk about them and then looking up what they sound like. I'm always finding awesome music from your videos keep up the good work.
I know this is a super late comment reply, but I also looked up mouse on the keys because of this video. The song earache is incredible
Hey Gozer's Den you should check out the Sublime Robin the Hood limited edition. Very pretty it's a clear vinyl with black and pink splatter.
Hey Tim! I came across your channel while searching youtube for colored vinyls. I'm just barely getting into vinyl right not, and have my first purchases on the way. In this video you mention that people might be annoyed or mad at Record Store Day. Being a newcomer in this, I was a little curious as to why this was. Thanks for the great videos, you've gained another subscriber!
Oh, some people are just purists. RSD is "too commercial" and about special and unnecessary releases, and to some of the same people, black sounds superior (I rarely can hear that much of a difference, myself) and many of them see color as a gimmick. I ignore those troglodytes, for the most part (kidding, they aren't troglodytes - I have friends that say that, and they are good people, otherwise - lol)
Ah. Thanks Tim! These videos have been really informative. I look forward to more of them.
Thank you. Been busy with other stuff, but hope to make a few more in the near future
I hope you have a Linear Tracking Turntable to play them on as you want to keep them in good condition.
Man..where do you score all of this stuff?
long, slow collecting process. ha
I know. It looks amazing, too
Korrallrevens as young as yesterday, I just got a copy myself and it was solid orange.... not as cool as yours. My question tho is, does it play at 45rpm? I believe it does but it doesnt state it clearly anywhere as far as I can tell. awesome vids, thanks man
+James Seidler - man... I have too many records. I don't recall off the top of my head and I'm nowhere near my collection right now. Just checked Discogs, but it doesn't say. I don't believe so, but you can compare it to a file online on the label's website
That awesome you included our porno for pyros reissue. I am a huge fan of colored vinyl, as you can tell by our releases and I was just watching your videos casually & did not expect to see one of our reissues. Thanks so much! Check out some of our latest releases in the catalog section of our website for more really cool colored vinyl Our recent maroon 5- songs about jane 3 color swirl variant is one of my personal favorites
+Ross Shotland Sweet! Yeah, I do collect a lot of color stuff. ha
What's the name of purple and orange vinyl?
Hey Tim! Really enjoyed these videos! A friend of mine has actually gotten me into both of these labels recently after he found out I started collecting vinyl! I must know though can you give me the name of the band for the first album you've shown? I dig the colors and the Egyptian style!

ArtsyFartsyTimo Thanks much! Also totally did not expect what I was going to find haha!
;)
thanks - and, indeed!
Thank you!
I really wish there was more video of you just talking about records. You can even go through what certain labels or pressing plants have made idc
nice video obviously Tim, you're shaming us.
thanks!
😎
Glad I'm not the only one with the coloured vinyl disease haha. I'm same about RSD.. it's like heroin.
Oops - I thought I responded, Maggie. Thank you for the kind words. And thank you for lighting the fire under my ass
I’ll buy your heavy music
I'll just raid your collection, next. ;)

Would you be willing to sell any vinyl?
I only meant to shame you, Joe. ;)
