  • Eccentric Chuck in the MADE Lathe rose engine doing guilloche on fine silver.
    After each cut the slide rest is moved over .011” while the eccentric slide is offsets .010”. By doing this the pattern is concentric to both the outside of the disc and the hole.
    A 24 bump rosette is being used with .020” amplitude. This piece is destined for enameling.

    Interesting he's using what looks like a Aloris type tool post. A little touch of the modern with the old technology brilliant machine!

      We’ve hidden the modern throughout in our design. We bowed to the Victorian look and feel, but we wanted the performance of the modern. We even used a 5C collet spindle.

    It really is a beautiful machine.
    I might make my own machine, they are such beautiful machine.
    Which rosette are you using. And the pattern is remarkable. Another 4 years I will retire and I'll have a hobby that love doing. Thx for sharing great video.
