- This video goes over some sampling tips that you can try out in your sessions.
I go over different sample chop modes and tips on how to adjust your sample in case your running into issues with samples overlapping on your sequences.
First - Gonz, new subscriber in the last week or so. Thank you for doing these videos! I'm an Ableton user and appreciate these videos as I learn more about Serato Studio. Your last view on how Stems works is much appreciated and I'm glad I found this one! As a budding content creator myself showcasing tracks this helps me look into new ways of expressing creativity. Much appreciated!!
Man thank you for the kind words. It's really appreciated and thank you for watching. I use Ableton as well but Serato has been my main go to. I'm glad it's helping you stay creative. Keep having fun and keep creating Kei.
Thanks! As a newer Serato user, I appreciate your tips. They have been very helpful.
That means a lot. I'm glad it's been helping. Is there something in particular your needing help that I might not have made a video on ?
@@djgonz123 you covered what I have mostly been trying to figure out. It's probably just that I'm missing, but I'm struggling creating and arranging scenes in songs efficiently.
@@fredyboomboom find songs you really like and write out the structure your hear to build a skeleton then try to replay that structure
@@djgonz123 It's mostly using scenes. I am not used to them yet, especially limited to only 8 bars. Other than that, Serato Studio has been great, my favorite DAW so far
WOW WOW WOW. Amazing. Love it.
thank you bro
Dope, this is exactly what I needed bro much respect
No problem glad it helped
Great video. Please keep them coming as I dont think there are enough tutorials on Studio.
Appreciate it. Let me know if there's something that you need more clarification on they you haven't seen.
@@djgonz123 thanks Gonz I’ll definitely take you up on that offer. Loving the videos. I’m a beginner using Studio with Arcade producing house/EDM. UK based.
@@ronnie2murphy471 awesome to hear. Love using and always wanted to go to the UK. Love the music scene. Big house, garage and drum n bass fan
@@djgonz123 yeah dance music is huge here but for me 80’s and 90’s house and dance music is the best.
Gonz could you please do a video on saving your work as a file and exporting for collaboration via email etc. many thanks keep up the great work.
Need to add a feature to where u can actually trim the grid. Small part of sample continues to play with no sound after the sample que finishes. That grid trim is essential.
Great video thank you so much
thank you for watching homie
this is great, but is there any way to set it so that it creates those out points automatically at the next chop?
The set slicer mode would be your best option.Set Slicer: This mode creates up to 32 consecutive Cue points in a row with a set length, starting from the current playhead position. The length of each cue can be set using the beat value and the two left and right arrows. Cue length can be changed to several values between 1/16, and 16 beats, and adjusting the length will immediately reset all Cue points to match the respective setting.
literally happened to me today!! drove me nuts. I ignored it and exported the song and there was no spillover.
On export you won't get spillover on the last scene of your song. However if you did need that bit of audio to end with a little bit more tail you would create one more scene the would be one or two bars more to get the spillover if needed.
Thanks for watching
This is like Serato Sample but turned to 11!
Yeah it works well. If you were someone that use serato sample before you can also actually bring that in as a plug-in to serato studio
This seems easier in Ableton. You just tell it how long you want the sample to be. Done!Less fidgeting with the sample.
Ableton does have it's chopping options that some like. Serato studio does give you the option to make sample chops for you with it's randomizer feature or using set slicer to make pre determine sections. I tend to go the manual route for me control but I always stress whatever works best for you go with that option
@@djgonz123 when your working with an artist it’s different. You have to work fast and efficient.
@@bboymac84 I agree I work with artists using serato studio because I'm real efficient with it however you are correct if you're working with an artist being efficient is crucial so if you know your way around whatever program you're using use that one
