It is a truely a legendary ride. Harley nailed it with the 24's. I had a 14 street glide and test drove a 18 RG and just fell in love with the bike. When the 24's came out that sealed the deal for me. Bought a wiskey fire 3 weeks ago.
I picked up my 24 RG and 2 days later took it 800 miles to Daytona. It’s a 💯 awesome bike. The handling and performance are far greater than previous models.
Just watched your video. I purchased my 24 RG atlas silver with black out 2 days before Thanksgiving. I traded in my 2003 softail heritage and let me tell you im still learning new things on it. I was so impressed with the test ride i bought it. Hope you get/got yours. Happy Holidays!
I had the opportunity to ride a 2024 Road Glide the other day. I road it in sport mode both on the road and doing slow speed maneuvers. Wow it was quick and throttle response was almost instantaneous. ✌️👊👍
Picked my first 2024 RG last night. Thought the transfer from a smaller commuter bike to a full size bagger would be more dramatic, but man this thing handles well.
Test rode the Street Glide and the Road Glide last week. I used to own a Rushmore Street Glide, but the new Road Glide is a winner. I'll be in the market for one of these in 2 years after paying off debt! It's a beautiful ride!
I had a 2023 RG ST... I had to spend like $$$$ on it to get it where I liked it... bars, risers, shocks, wind screen, controls... and now HD has included all the good stuff on the 2024 AND has coolant flow through the heads and all the good stuff.. next up, a test ride. I sold the 23 RGST... kind of glad I did now. This 24 is a VAST improvement. Good job, HD.
I’m in pretty much the exact same position haha. I sold my 23 SG ST over the winter and was telling my GF it was the PERFECT time to sell because the next gen baggers are 10x better and might actually be worth the money we pay for them now. I’ll be picking up a 24’ RG in a few weeks still haven’t decided on color though they all look so good.
New CVO Road Glide ST owner and all I can say is wow. It's an amazing sport tourer. If youre impressed with the base Road Glide, you'll be blown away with the CVO ST. Thanks for your real world review.
I agree. The base is what I went with, 117 is plenty of power, but you obviously have to change some things like suspension, the seat for me (short) to your liking. The CVO is so so purrrty.
Had a 22 road king special, loved it. I told myself not to test ride the 24 road glide. Yeah, so after 2 minutes on the new RG I traded in the king. NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE. 2 different bikes, but man.......the RG knows what you want to do before you do it. It almost reads your mind. Sport mode can be twitchy and needs to get used to, but it's an absolute rocket. Handling, acceleration, shifting and that beautiful Harley clunk. Woke or not.......an absolute dream of a bike. I got a klockwerks windshield and going 85 mph is a breeze.
Ha ha, that is usally they way it works. Sport mode does take getting used to for sure. Thanks for watching and if you have not don't forget to subscribe. I have another one on the ST coming out when I finish editing.
I went from a Low Rider ST to the Road Glide and it is night and day better. I had the Low Rider ST as it felt so much better than previous generation Street and Road Glides. Now its reversed, the Road Glide actually feels more nimble and while the motor is the same displacement the new engine management is amazing. My favorite part, the Road Glide looks damn good now.
I demo’ed the 2024 RG in Daytona and you are right about how you feel one with the bike. I’m actually an Indian Pursuit fan but that 24” road glide ride has me scratching my head.
I think they trimmed 16 pounds off it. What impressed me is how they lowered the center of gravity. Tank, fairing and triple trees lighter. Radiator way down low. I love how it corners. Got a couple of 90 degree, 65 mph sweepers not far from me, it finds the line and holds it perfectly. My 15 RG felt like it wanted to fall in or out sometimes, not this bike. I waited 9 years for a big change in design and functionality, so glad. I've gotten my 1000 miles in, service done, and now the weather in Nebraska is getting colder again. Dang it. Bottom line, I love this new design. Good job, Harley.
100% agree. Never felt like I was connected to my 21. Now I have a 24 cvo and I love it. Thing is effortless to ride. Feels almost like my '13. But Eben probably a little better. Love it. Had some bluing issues on the heat shields but the dealer took care of it and got me some new ones. But yeah, your right, definately feels better than previous years
Im really close to pulling the trigger on a road king but these RGs are tempting me. I just feel like the road king is about a year or so from getting some love (a refresh) since the other touring bikes got some.
Coming off an Indian Challenger, I bought the CVO ST a couple weeks ago. The over all performance and maneuvering on this bike is better than the Challenger I had. Best bike I’ve ever rode and owned of course 😂🔥
I would think so you went from a more reliable touring bagger to a race inspired or course everything is going to better in term of response and handling.
I bought an rg2024, it's still in the garage for modifications, I'm watching your video, I can't wait to ride. but here in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, there is still snow 😥 Thank you for your video
Yea it is. Are you gonna break down and get one? Really hard find parts/accessories right now though. The changes were big enough you can’t even find seats yet. Although I gotta give HD the nod. The stock seat is pretty good for the rider.
Hi, Im curious about what happens if someone tests rides a 24 road glide and falls over with it and it gets minor damage? Does the dealership insurance pay or my insurance?
So you’re the one who bought the 2024 RG Blue Burst! I almost got it. Decided on the RG White Onyx Pearl instead. Awesome bikes for sure! Be safe. See you up at WC HD dealership 💪😎
I just purchased a 2024 Road Glide! It's amazing! I was warned by my friends not to ride one ( formerly a Street Glide Special owner). They were RIGHT! ENJOY!
So…if I could’ve hired a speech writer for my 2024 RG, it would be you. I came from a 2016 Indian Chieftain bagger, which I still have and would put it up against any touring model out there…that is until now. My first motorcycle was at age 14, I’ve ridden dozens of motorcycles, I have an opinion: the absolute best handling touring bike out there. My clutch should be 1/2" off the grip to engage friction zone; the bike I test rode was at the absolute farthest reach of the clutch travel, big negative. Grossly under-powered audio system…several other things that are to be expected. But if you want the quintessential best handling touring bike out there (Goldwings excluded) this is the bike you want. For reference, I am 6’ 4" and 245 lbs.
Thanks brother! I have never listened to any of the audio systems. I am always talking into a camera so I don't listen to the radio much. The 24's are a great riding bike. Thanks for watching.
Coming from a new Harley interested person....no reason you can't have a heel toe shifter on this bike right? There is nothing in the way to prevent it right?
