How accurate does the Irig pro mimic other artists’ sound when connecting to the “Tonebridge” app?

Can you hear what you are playing with this, outside of earphones. Meaning does it do like irig where you can’t use the speakers along with the earphones or mic?

Greetings sweet water sound, very professional video.
I have a question. For the making of this movie, how was the sound of the guitar recorded? I see there is a cable on the right side of the iPad coming out of the headphone jack I think, is that running into the video camera ? Or somewhere else? Thanks

Can you use mid and audio inputs simultaneously? For example to control settings in amplitube with a midi foot controller

How can you put guitar cable inside there? I thought that guitar cable and microphone cable isn't the same ... So you can't put guitar cable in there right? Please respond...

I picked up a Pro Duo, and I can't figure out the gain knobs. They work as expected when using a mic, but when using a guitar, there is still signal being sent with gain turned all the way down. Also, when playing powerchords or anything loud, it causes the clip light to come on even with the gain turned all the way down. Turning the volume pot on the guitar down makes the signal weaker and hurts the sound quality when running through high gain amp models. Is there a solution for this?

Turn the gain down in the app you're using to avoid clipping. On larger, better devices like the Focusrite, their higher end units has a Pad button to avoid clipping when using guitars with hot pickups (usually metal humbuckers like EMG)

When turning gain down in the app, it sounded very weak and lost a lot of dynamics before even going through effects. I ended up returning the iRig and picked up a Focusrite iTrack and it works a ton better for me. For reference I was using a PRS SE Custom 24 with stock pickups, so I'm wondering if better pickups would have helped too.

Hello, Annette. Thanks for reaching out, it's Mickey from Sweetwater! If you have a version of the iRig with an XLR connection, and it has a switch for 48v Phantom Power, you are good to go! If you have the iRig Pro from the video, there is a switch on the side for that. Any other questions, give us a call!

I enjoy whistling to music and would like to use my iPad 4 to perform live to music and output both (music & whistling) via the iPad's speakers. Is that possible?
It doesn't need to be loud. Here's a sample of my twittering: app.box.com/s/sbfb81jzjspnalv2ipad
Another thing: I also would like to use this compact setup with Reverb and a tiny lapel (electret type) MIC. Can that be done wtih iRig Pro?

    • @B3Band

The guitar and mic inputs are the same jack! Unless the mic has a different way of connecting to the iRig, then that jack can only support one or the other.

The version i bought has 2 batteries powering the device.. not for phantom power..but for the guitar itself.. that sucks.. so if no battery, no play..n there is no adaptor aling with this..

It eats batteries and don’t sound any better than a 20 dollar one.
