Looks like I’ll be buying the DJI Mic now lol. I just watched another RUclipsr flying his new Mavic 3 Pro and all I could focus on was how clean his audio was while he was flying his drone. I mean super clean audio. This video helps a lot and would be beneficial in my line of work having this capability.

Yes. Love that mic system. We’d appreciate it if you would use our link. We earn a small commission that helps us produce the video content. Btw… DJI offers the mic system with just one mic and no charging case a little less expensive:
DJI Mic Wireless System (2 mics and charging case) [ amzn.to/3Int67s ]
DJI Wireless Mic (Same as above, except 1 Transmitter instead of 2 and no charger case, $100 less) [ amzn.to/3YDRDf6 ]

If you have a Wireless Go 2, you can also use it like the DJI mic. You just need a USB C to USB C cable. I haven't tried my original Wireless Go version one yet, but it should also work.

The discovery about AirPods makes sense, as you say. Further, if you use a cheap wired phone headset, with USB connector (Samsung had one out the last year or 2 after removing the headset jack on their phones) - it works to record and hear system sounds. All through the USB Jack, Any wireless mic with a monitor channel (a rarety for certain) also works to hear system sounds.

If they only record to the internal memory, can we then transfer those files to the micro-SD card, then remove them from the internal memory? I can see that filling up the 32GB (actually a lot less after system files) on the internal fast...

I’m going to experiment with my rc pro and dji mic 2, thanks to watching yet an😅great video from you guys. If you do pickup this comment I have a question. Will the audio file be a separate file or baked into the video recording? The reason that’s important is for editing purposes because I often record separate audio for background ambiance audio such as tidal waves at the shore and tweetypies, and fade between the vocal and background ambiance audio files. Thanks again for your great tech tuition and learning, so hellful. 👏

On the RC Pro, audio is included in the video recording. However, the DJI Mic itself has the ability to capture its own audio only file.

@@jcophoto75 We dont have the newer Mic2. However, I can't imagine it being different. A couple of thoughts 1) can you test the USB connector on the RC Pro with another Mic? Just curious if the USB connector is bad. 2) Make sure the little USB adapter that slides onto the mic is installed correctly... probably is... but it's a thought. 3) Output gain on the mic2. I know it's adjustable on the original DJI Mic (by going into the menu system)... It's probably more convenient on the Mic2 through the knob. Something to play with. Hello Jerry! First, your videos are fantastic! I became a subscriber immediately and have viewed most (if not all) pertaining to the RC Pro. I am still trying to figure out installing third party software but your live streaming lesson had me streaming in one take! My most immediate struggle is recording sound. I used a very cheap ($17+) lav with USB-C and it worked fine. I decided to upgrade and purchase the XS Lav USB-C that you tested. I love the sound quality of this mic yet when I power on my Mini 3 Pro, there is a distinct interference! I've tried to wrap/unwrap the mic cable, I've used it with it on me and with it near me. I never get consistent results and sometimes there's interference and sometimes there's not. I even get interference when the drone is 400' over my head!
What am I not understanding about this "mic system" of the RC Pro? It seems to be a finicky little bugger haha
I appreciate any response if available. KEEP UP the FANTASTIC work you do producing videos! You have a talent.

    • @middleloopvideo
      @middleloopvideo Год назад

Hello. I have a couple questions. Is the cheaper ($17) mic consistent when used on the RC Pro? And, the inconsistent recordings (interference) with the Sennheiser (XS Lav) are while doing screen recordings? If both are true, it sounds like maybe there is a problem Sennheiser mic itself. If you were having problems with both mics, I would suspect the RC Pro.
I don't typically use the Sennheiser day-to-day with the RC Pro... I mostly use the DJI Mic system. But, my wife uses the Sennheiser all day, every day with her computer for conference (zoom) calls with no issues. I just used it for a quick test for this video and another test I did in the one live-streaming video ( ruclips.net/video/lg9XXUeV5gk/видео.html )...
I'm curious if you are able to test on another device, like a computer, what happens...
Oh... Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it.

@@middleloopvideo Hello Jerry, Thanks a lot for the reply! I've just reviewed my series of tests conducted while recording on the RC Pro... Yes, the cheaper ($17) mic is consistent, sound is always clean/no interference. The Sennheiser XS Lav has perfect audio UNTIL I power on the Mini 3 Pro. The interference/buzz is sporadic and I struggle to find what is causing this buzz. I've held the powered up drone and moved it all around the RC Pro and cannot find a certain position that causes this buzz. The audio is 90% clean but there's waves of buzzing interference during my review of recordings.
I have connected the XS Lav to my Pixel phone and had clean/clear audio. I really don't suspect there is something wrong with the mic. There's something going on, specifically for me, with the XS Lav connected to the RC Pro with a powered up Mini 3 Pro drone.
I've read posts from Drone Valley about the finicky nature of the DJI Smart RC and RC Pro recording inputs. And I did see that you tested the Sennheiser XS Lav. I am hoping to find a solution for this mic. I'll check out the link you shared and will continue to support and follow your channel! Thank again, Ted

I just did a complete test flight and can confirm that there is interference on the RC Pro recording when the Mini 3 Pro is powered on. As soon as I powered off the drone, the intermittent static buzz stopped. This mic works well without the drone powered on and works fine with my Pixel phone. I'm trying to return this item but the ebay seller is not responsive and denied the return. No big deal, I was just hoping to make this work. It's a head-scratcher!
I've been eyeballing the DJI wireless setup for weeks... should have just purchased that in the beginning. I am just not 100% in love with DJI products right now. I'm new into drones and feel that DJI is AMAZING when it comes to flying! I'm stunned at the initial ease. Pretty incredible little machine. I am struggling with this RC Pro unit... seems like I am shaking my head with a lot with this.
Thanks again Jerry! I appreciate the help.

      Hi Ted,
I’m impressed by your tenacity. And you are using the RC Pro? I ask because the mini 3 isn’t bundled with that controller. Just trying to get clear on the details.
It’s so strange that you have no problem with the $17 mic… and only with the Sennheiser when drone is on. I’ll retest when I get a chance to get chance. But, it won’t be an exact match since I don’t have a Mini 3 to play with. Please confirm that you’re using an RC Pro, not the DJI RC which normally comes bundled with the mini 3. I’ve heard about lots of issues with that controller. Thx

      Hi Jerry,
Yes, I am using the RC Pro. I bought the Mini 3 Pro (drone only) and the RC Pro and paired them once in the home. I bought the RC Pro thinking that I'd have better control. I do like the brighter screen and the ability to livestream with this unit but am struggling with the actual value. Hopefully DJI will continue to update this RC unit and make more use of the capabilities.
I agree that it is strange that the $17 mic had no interference. I took it through the same tests that I've run the Sennheiser through. One mic produced clean, clear sound ($17) and the other (XS-Lav) produces clean, clear sound UNTIL the drone is powered up!
I truly appreciate the time you've taken already to assist me and indeed look forward to hearing your re-test results if you get a chance to conduct one. I'll likely bite the bullet on this (the ebay seller is not offering me any refund opportunity) and purchase the DJI wireless mic. It was the fist mic system that caught my eye and I've read/watched several glowing reviews.
Anyway, have a great day and I look forward to viewing your continued work with MiddleLoop!
      Ted
