I’m a cod fan and I recently got into Halo. I love this community! It’s a privilege to see such world class players compete ♥️I’m glad I found out about this league!
Without the horrible start on Streets in game 2 by Optic, it would have been amazing to watch a game 7 on the finals. C9 as a team is just too in sync compared to everyone else. Arguments can be made for individual players but as a team it’s wild how untouchable they are.
I would say going to game 6 with them makes them not "untouchable". They can and will be beat. Just like we thought OpTic was so far ahead at the beginning of the game and now it's c9. Teams will catch up, game is still fairly new.
As a dude that has done competitive gaming before, the team work c9 has incredible. A few things to notice. 1. They use a battle buddy system as core basis for their pushes and defenses. The c9 boys don't do lone wolf heroics. They are always within touching distance of another team mate. So much that I think it's a core to how they operate. Takes a lot of training and discpline to get to that level. 2. Converging lines/lanes of fire and focus fire. When one of the c9 boys start getting shot at, the attacker receives 2x the return fire back toward them. c9 covers each other as a religion. at all times they have seem to have at least 2 guns pointed at an uppity enemy player at all time and focus fire the most serious threats. 3. When they move, they move together. They move in such a way as to cover each others flanks and in such a way to make sure that they can all cover each other. Singular players don't put themselves into situations where they would be out of contact with a team mate. It's almost like an esp level of coordination they have. The left hand is always talking to the right hand and vice versas. 4. Their comms and intel gathering and map sense is unreal. This one is a little harder to gauge but you can see it playout in the results. These guy talk to each each and give out actionable and pertinent information to each other in a speedy way. The game sense all the players have is top notch and not just that, but the way they process information and respond to it is single minded. C9's teamwork is really seriously next level and when they were saying to sentnials after the c9 vs sent match that sent is playing the wrong way I think they were right.
That no scope by Lucid on live fire sandbags might be one of the best shots I’ve ever seen, dudes a monster.. commentators did awesome too, good energy
@@almostmullen07 He definitely doesn't have the consistency I would like to see but I think he's still a valuable player. Maybe not the star of the team anymore but I have yet to see a game where Ola pops off and they lose, there are plenty of games where Lucid or Trippy Pop off and they still lose, but when Ola goes, they are unstoppable. Similar to Snipedown IMO. I'd still like to see better consistency, but it always seems that each kill Ola gets is somehow more critical and clutch than the usual team member. Right now this is all reminding me of the good old H5 days with Envy vs OPTIC/CLG/Tox, This squad has the talent to sweep C9, but they don't have the consistency and team chemistry.

I hope the devs add a minimap to spectator hud. I'd love to have a clearer picture of where the players are on the map. Who's flanking, etc. Can't show everything at once if limited to showing one player's pov on screen.
I agree. Watching any FPS game, even one you are very familiar with, is a struggle to follow sometimes. PoV constantly switching makes it hectic, and while you get a general sense from the score of how the game is going, it would be nice to have a minimap like you suggest. The xray feature is nice, where you can see all players from all teams through walls in front of you, but for overall map position a minimap would be cool.

T2 and clearly improved before this event and a lot of "fans" calling for roster changes smh C9 is just on another level right now doesn't mean other top teams won't catch up. Right now the biggest disadvantage optic has against them mode wise is oddball but regardless optic definitely has the potential to challenge C9 more than they did at anaheim

Love seeing these two teams battle it out....lucid and renegade are disgusting but I feel like everyone forgets about trippy and stellur being just as nasty......apg,ola, penguin,eco are all great players also they all are so good at going beast mode.i feel like optic will find their niche and become a better squad than they already are they placed second at both events...but my cloud 9 boys are just dominating...hard to watch honestly cause it's my 2 fav teams.eunited,optic,cloud 9 are def my top fav teams....

Last week they were saying Ola was the worst player but this week he goes like 30 and 10 in a round that apg happened to do bad in and so ola is great but apg is the worst player. There literally isn't a bad player between these two teams.
@@FiscoInferno age not end all be all. Games not a physical sport where wear and tear on your body matters (I am aware that RSI can affect gamers). Most gamers "retire" because it straight up is not a good use of your time when you are an adult. To be good at games you have to grind it out, which young people can do because they have less responsibility and more free time. I would wager that even the majority of "pro" players do not make enough money to make it there sole source of income, and therefore their primary responsibility. I hear what you are saying, I just think most people default to this line of thinking.
@@dirtywizard learning ability goes down too when you get older, for example i was much more stronger and much more consistent on games when i was young compared to today, cause i was like a sponge in learning game mechanics. Not to mention reflexes... Pistola still an awesome player and would smoke everyone of us for sure, but younger pros can be sharper than him right now

The interviewers should ask both teams about their strategy and why it worked or not. Instead of getting comments like 'we're the best...' Would also be good to hear from the losing team post game.
Felt bad for SSG, they have been chalked from roster problems for a while now and I hope they can find consistency. Fnatic stood out to me, they went from being on Milk cartons (Have you seen me?) to really doing damage in this tourney
Yeah that close upset to cloud9 definitely made them stand out. I hope teams like them can start putting a gash into the coming tournaments bc it seems a lot of teams have improved since Raleigh (such as G2)

When Renegade was on str8rippin in H5 he didn't accomplish jack squat. Lucid is literally carrying his team to the finals. Renegade didn't have success until he teamed with people almost as good as him.

Optic gaming is currently using team envy us skin in halo since nv and og have now merged to become one organization. After the optic merge team envy us decided to switch their halo team to be branded as optic gaming instead. Both nv and c9 colors are black and blue with subtle differences in layout, which does make it confusing when they face each other for sure. But Optic should be getting their own skin though in the next 2 months and the nv skin will be discontinued and rare to have.
Cloud 9 is not even showing emotion when they have the trophy, they look like zombies. Every other person would have jumped in joy WTF. Sadly Optic does not win, i hoped for it.
Ola just needs a better partner to put his magic to serious work, it’s obvious how lucid and trippey work as a duo while ola and apg are separated from each other in battles often. If optic picked up formal and he worked with pistola to back him up like lucid does trippey they would have better success in halo.
I think Faze should (and hopefully will) pick up Formal. This was their worst placing so far and Formal could practically help any team with his comms and slaying power. EU could use him too but I don't know if they'll make a change now after placing 3rd. Teams need to make changes to compete with cloud 9. Sentinels is the only team that has an excuse for not winning and I think they have the highest potential.
@@servalkorion686 that's because he deserves it. Sentinels made it to grand finals last time with formal with barely any practice time and they did not make it easy for C9. Formal may over challenge sometimes but you know he'll always have solid comms and damage.

@@mattg8116 sentinels were practicing with royal 2 and formal got them to finals with no practice and has consistently kept sentinels top 5 since Raleigh where he single handedly destroyed optic in game 5. His comms are flawless even when shooting simultaneously and I’ve been watching him in pro 8s on stream too and he consistently drops most damage and high kills+assists no matter who he plays with
This spectator mode just ruins the whole broadcast for me. I hate the constant color switching, the fact that shots that hit look like they're missing and having 7 other position markers is just dumb, I want to see what the player is experiencing. We should not be able to see the opponents position.
I disagree, I like knowing where everyone is so I can see them engage in 1v1 , sometimes you'll see how close they are to each other and past each other by.

They need to drop APG and get Spartan. Spartan is the only other player who can consistently win 1 v 1s against c9 players besides Lucid. Ola consistently gets outgunned in 1v1s but he's a smarter objective player than APG.

No keep it og if you’re going to replace apg.?Bring in formal to work with pistola while trippey and lucid continue their duo. Ola can make big plays happen he just needs a shooter close by him for back up while he pulls his tricks to really benefit the team.
I wish there was a way yo just watch the game live like csgo, through the game engine. 1 because I want to figure out who on OG is the weakest link, 2 is to not have the horrific naggy commentary in my ear while I try to listen.

this could be ranked alongside Halo 3 as the greatest multiplayer game, but being able to see the enemy icons through walls really hampers it, it's tailored to noobs... at least in Halo 3 there is no radar on MLG... that's the way pros need to play

@@servalkorion686 that's because he deserves it. Sentinels made it to grand finals last time with formal with barely any practice time and they did not make it easy for C9. Formal may over challenge sometimes but you know he'll always have solid comms and damage.

@@mattg8116 sentinels were practicing with royal 2 and formal got them to finals with no practice and has consistently kept sentinels top 5 since Raleigh where he single handedly destroyed optic in game 5. His comms are flawless even when shooting simultaneously and I’ve been watching him in pro 8s on stream too and he consistently drops most damage and high kills+assists no matter who he plays with

Watching this I bought a series X instantly, been on an Xbox one and the game is totally different and frankly unplayable competitively
This spectator mode just ruins the whole broadcast for me. I hate the constant color switching, the fact that shots that hit look like they're missing and having 7 other position markers is just dumb, I want to see what the player is experiencing. We should not be able to see the opponents position.
I disagree, I like knowing where everyone is so I can see them engage in 1v1 , sometimes you'll see how close they are to each other and past each other by.

They need to drop APG and get Spartan. Spartan is the only other player who can consistently win 1 v 1s against c9 players besides Lucid. Ola consistently gets outgunned in 1v1s but he's a smarter objective player than APG.
I said this a long time ago. Lucid needs another nasty slayer that he is confident in. Someone who can go off at any moment.

this could be ranked alongside Halo 3 as the greatest multiplayer game, but being able to see the enemy icons through walls really hampers it, it's tailored to noobs... at least in Halo 3 there is no radar on MLG... that's the way pros need to play
