As a beginner guitarist almost 10 years ago, I found this video after getting frustrated with the stupid playing every string with every finger on every fret type lessons, and all the other "really professional" type lessons. I learned one of my favorite songs, and at first I was ass, but it encouraged me to keep trying and learn more. Today I can tune by ear, play some songs by ear, write my own music, and can play a whole range of shit I never thought possible. Thanks man! You rock 😅.

@@manuelvaldivia2677 I’m not him but my advice is to play guitar in a way that’s comfortable for you. Your body will tell you the right way for you, and if it’s hurting to play then stop and find another way. You’ll never unlock your potential if you’re constantly injuring yourself.

After sending in my first Epi LP Standard and waiting for 2 months I finally got a guitar that works.. And I can play along with this song already! You've got some really helpful videos, thanks dude.

I literally bought an electric guitar 5 years ago so I could play this song. Now that I have a strap and amplifier I finally got around to playing it. As a former woodwind player, I gotta say the electric guitar definitely sounds more badass, but my left wrist is killing me lol.
hey, love your video's. but in this video there are minor mistakes. tuning is drop c. opening riff was right but you play that first one four times then insttead of playing open on the top you slide down to to the12th fret four times that will be played. then you play the you play the openning riff once then once again only you do not play the last top note.

How much do you plan on spending? I have an ESP LTD F-50 that I got off the guitar center website for around $170 with shipping and a one year warranty and it serves me well and looks wicked while doing so.
try not to "pluck" the strings individually. More-so just push through them and focus on not having a pause between them... if that makes sense. hold the notes longer

Quick question, in the bar chord strumming. Are you strumming barring 3 the whole time or are you pulling off and playing it open? You didn’t explain it. I’m playing it as this 3-3-0-3-3 3-3-0-3-3 3-3-0-3-3

The type of guitar is important. The amp also matters, as it can greatly alter the sound of the outcome.

When you do the main bar chords, do you strum 3 strings or 2 strings?
Is this played only on the low E string becausei see in most videos they play it as power chords

I'm pretty sure the song is actually in Drop C - have just been playing alongside it and Drop Db doesn't sound right at all. Drop C sounds perfect.
