No Dodger in recent history has done what Shohei is doing. Saying he’s just “meeting” expectations is an understatement. Did Matt expect him to be the NL favorite to be MVP as a DH?

Ohtani better be NL player of the week or favorite for NL month in June. Ex, Ohtani in the last 7 games - has (God-like) OPS 1.847 and last 15 games has (Superhuman) OPS 1.247 and last 30 games has (he’s human like) OPS .956. Just wow !!!

So glad to see Matt on the show! For one thing, he provided a welcome pause from all of the nerd stats tonight, lol. Also, I liked his take on the value of Yoshi vs. Mookie in the playoffs (vs. the regular season). Go Dodgers! I hope a rainout doesn't mess up the Chisox series...
I really hope you get a chance to interview Drew Avans. He's the most overlooked player in the minors. He's a hustler and brings an energy the Dodgers lack. I know he'll never get a chance as long as he stays on the Dodgers.
Also, red vines are nasty. Love the twizzlers.

Great to see Matt back in the saddle. Didn't seem like he was away long. Unfortunately, could not participate in live chat, but had to tune in since it was Matt's return to the Sunday live show. Watching replay to see the parts I missed.
1) Glasnow has exceeded my expectations. Glasnow strong candidate for Cy Young -- the "Ohtani" of the mound 😆.
2) There are so many expectations for Ohtani and considering how his first year with the Dodgers started, he is able to amaze. I become hyper focused on Ohtani ABs.
3) Yamamoto coming over from NPB met expectations. Was worried about his transition between leagues and he has performance has surprised me. Yes I know he has a lot of accolades from the NBP, but the MLB can be demanding
4) Teoscar and Paxton have been exceeding my expectations as I did not have a whole lot on both of them. I hope they have continued success so that the Dodgers are successful in the playoffs.
NOW - need the rest of the team to meet expectations or surprise us and exceed all our expectations. I mean they could end up with a ring before they get traded or enter FA. 🤭🤭
Dodgers are gonna be fine despite the injuries. Make no mistake about it, they will make the playoffs and win the division. Whatever they do at the trade deadline will be key to going far in the playoffs.
