Most people who can't use carbs are just under muscled. Thiamine deficiency plays a big role too. However studies show that muscle mass is the best predictor of longetivity. Having muscles allows us to store carbs more effectively.
This is hands down the best and most comprehensive all around video about understanding health and diet that I have ever watched in my life... and I have watched countless videos about it over the last 14 years. Thank you so very kindly. May you be blessed. 🙏🏼

Our ancestors ate glycogen from raw liver, drinking raw blood and eating fresh raw muscle meat. Theres a study on the inuit estimating they got about 20% of their calories from the raw meat they ate daily.
Spot on! You explained so much in this video that is difficult to understand but made it easily understandable! A huge point is that people process nutrients differently based on genetics and, I think, microbiome make-up. I've just started diving in to your videos and can't wait to watch more! I'm a strong advocate of fasting, eating organic - preferably home grown, and fermented foods. At 64 I'm healthier than I've ever been! Thank you - keep 'em coming!
I've been carnivore for nearly 6 years now. I've been through long phases of keto during that time but the last few years I've settled on consuming carbs from raw milk and occasionally raw honey. I'm also very very active. Walk miles every day and play football 3-4 times per week. I want two things from my food: nutrient density and no inflammation. Unfortunately pretty much all other carbs give me inflammation and problems, even fruit. So milk and honey it is.
I like to have legumes as my carbs. Whenever I have bread, I end up feeling less satisfied after even though in the moment it feels better, I feel really tired afterwards whereas green lentils work fine for me and black rice also good.
But I usually don’t have carbs and animal fat on same day. Ill do meat and animal fat together in one meal usually, if I decide on that day that I’m having carbs, I won’t have animal fat that day, I will eat almonds (or maybe another type of nut but usually almonds) and avocado and I’m testing with coconut which provide fat of course but I eat carbs separately as second meal usually and I won’t have the fats from animals which usually for me comes from tallow and bone marrow.
I believe. Is we come from Apes, our first use of tools was a Stone and still. I hypothesize we butchered bones for all the rich fat that predators couldn’t reach. Some leg bone marrow and Brains. Hunting for the Rest of the animal fresh came Long after. Brains first, more tools and movement, hunting came later
The problems I’m having atm on a Carnivore diet (cooked and raw) are: low blood pressure, low blood sugar, and constipation. Been on this for about 1.5 months, not sure if I should continue.
@@ExcellentHealth I eat very high fat, no use for constipation. I also eat eggs, organs, seafood, and sometimes cream and cheese, but they give me bad skin, so not very often, but mainly fatty meat with fat, bones and skin which I prefer, beef, lamb, pork, chicken, all fatty parts. I’m in normal BMI always, doing this for skin issues and constipation or digestion issues, skin healed nicely but never constipation. Not much weight loss since starting, weight is stable no matter what, good sleep 7-8 hours every night, but now I’m constantly feeling fatigued and tired during the day, then I tested my blood pressure 85/56, next morning 87/59, glucose 4.3, next morning 4.3,
Carbohydrates are naturally found in freshly slaughtered animals. When the meat rests, as it does in the modern food chain, it loses it's carbohydrate content. What modern carnivores eat now didn't exist back then. 10-20g of carbs is fine, but I believe 0g is unnecessary because of the reasons stated in the video.
Great video, thank you! I have two questions though. Why do we produce Ketons when we could just get the energy from Gluconeogenesis? And you are saying that we primarily produce Cholesterol from Glucose, is that true? So is it actually better to eat carbs for Cholesterol production than meat or fat?
animal based carbs are great (milk, honey). plant based carbs are damaging. whole fruits + vegetable juice are the least damaging plant based carbs. that is my current understanding
probably the best video about carbs...that being said there are advantages of being low carb or even no carb. at least short term and in the right context....being fat adapted is great! keep it up. PS: masai eat loads of honey & fresh meat (which nobody eats this days) is full of glucose
I believe there is something like 90% of the bile that gets reabsorbed through the small intestine so the bile production isn't that much of a problem I think, that is of course if you didn't drink water after your protein and/or fat meal, otherwise the water will push the bile directly to the colon and it will not be a pleasurable experience trust me lol. Very good video as always.
Milk is protein and carbs at the same time, yet it is a single food. It has to do with the food group. I'd watch my food combination for more information. The short answer is no, the long answer is it depends on the food group
Does it make sense to just consume 25-50 g of pure glucose powder a day or is there any problem with that? I prefer fruit and honey, kefir but my liver is definitely having a hard time right now. I keep the kefir tough but i think it might just be 15g a day from that
sorry guys i really want to improve my health, I use to be a veagn... so can someone tell me if i need to change my diet or not? For 6 months i have been eating 1 whole large chicken and some potatoes that are cooked in the oven every single day and then after I will have different fruits and lettuce sometimes, and sometimes i will switch the chicken for beef or lamb. Also every 1 or 2 months I have some Raw milk and raw eggs and raw butter. Am i dong good or bad ? does anything need to be added or removed? very rarely i eat raw liver too
It sounds pretty good to me, but it's more about how you feel on this diet and also the quality of the food like he said in the video. You could probably eat more (healthy) raw eggs for the micronutrients and since you have access to raw milk and raw butter, I'd have that also more often to get the beneficial bacteria back into your gut. All the best!

Eskimos and Masai also consumed sugar from the blood that they drunk. There's sugar in the blood.

Eating the liver of a freshly killed animal, raw, or drinking its blood, will provide you with glycogen as well.
Off topic, but your skin looks incredibly good in this video.
Thank you brother. I had put butter on it before recording, so maybe that's why.

On keto i become too aggressive and irritable. Also eating so much fat doesnt seem to be very natural
Gorging yourself on fat is extremely "natural"

I have the opposite thing, I get much calmer and more level-headed on keto.
What's the longest you've tried keto?

Hmm a question. How come natural internal processes that are fine tuned for ur own individual body, like gluconeogenisis, tax ur liver?

animal based carbs are great (milk, honey). plant based carbs are damaging. whole fruits + vegetable juice are the least damaging plant based carbs. that is my current understanding

Good point. I appreciate it brother.
Would you say the sugar from fruit and the sugar from milk are equally taxing on the liver?
I’d say fruit is worse because of the fructose.
whats the short answer? is it good or not? i eat Potato few times a week
Is it ok to eat protein and carbs at the same meal apparently it makes more glycation

Glucose powder is a toxic processed man-made concoction. Avoid it.
However if you limit fat in your diet glycation would not be such big problem
And if you limit fat, your hormonal profile, brain function, energy and organ function in general will suffer.
You need a minimal of around 50grams of good fat a day
@@TheSjeizeHey,
What is considered "good fat",
brother?
@@SentByNature Egg yolks, high quality butter, high quality meat fat, raw milk etc
As long as your blood sugar levels go up, you'll get glycation.
